    1. Did a small amount of shopping in town this lunchtime, Iceland, Card Factory, Holland & Barratt, and Poundland. Stocked up quite a bit on freezer stuff. Just find Iceland so good for bits especially the boxed fish. It means less to buy from the supermarket.

    2. Walked to the postbox with the spaniel and posted a couple of letters.

    3. Hoovered up - don't know where all the bits comes from but the cleaner bin always needs emptying.

    4. No washing today hooray :D

    5. Got an Ebay order delivered today and was impressed as the seller had forgotten to post it earlier in the week so they put in some extras to say sorry!

Kittikins - sorry to hear your news but hopefully will be the start of bigger and better things for you.

Another one who is :( today as just bumped into my friend. Her 14yr old DD has been admitted to the priory for an eating disorder and is really very poorly. She is such a beautiful girl but some family problems just got too much for her. Her poor mum is blaming herself which she really shouldn't as she has done everything she possibly could to shield her from it. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear about your job, Kittikins. :-(

Here are my 5 for today so far.

    1) Waking up with OH. :-)

    2) Cup of tea on the way home with mum, dad, brother and sister.

    3) Neighbour had put my washing inside while I had been at OH's.

    4) Cats all fine, pile of shrews in the porch!

    5) Texts from OH. :-)

    6) Wrote the parent part of the request for a special needs statement for smaller son. Hard going but sat at it this afternoon and did 2,100 words!

    7) Organised with school friend that I will visit her Weds evening and a college friend that I will see her Weds afternoon! So I should have plenty to do before OH/sons return.

    8) Brother is coming round after tea to play on the Wii and watch University Challenge with me.

    9) Had all fruit from OH's fridge so have made a huge fruit salad. Will fry some courgette and have an omlette too, I think.

So many people going through this right now and my heart goes out to each and every one of them. We all moan about our jobs but when they pull the proverbial rug and your pay packet equates to zero it's a frightening thing. If you have skills they will transfer go to employment agencies and register there for temp to perm work!

    My 5 for today

1 - DD and DS safely back from the festival

2 - Babysit was cancelled so I had some time to myself this morning before going shopping

3 - Found that the library has a book I want to read so I ordered it, no need to buy it!

4 - My friend called me and asked me to do some work for her (I do her accounts once a month for 1 hour or so)

5 - So I went and before I did my hour work we had a fantastic salad lunch, with everything vegetable inside it and chopped mozzarella too!

    Good night.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Kittikins - sorry to hear your news. hopefully there is a nice shiny new one on the horizon
Chicken - take care. I might take his word for it regarding the sewers. Hope they are cleaner than the taps! he has been busy in the garden but the house is a bit
Frith - glad you seem happier
Mhagster - glad to see your OH is improving bit by bit. Seems a long old road but you and he are heading in the right direction

    for today

    1. Didn't waken up till 6. I know this is early but I usually suffer terribly from jet lag so 6 is good.
    2. Had lazy morning catching up here and elsewhere on t'net and a long lazy hot bath
    3. Haven't put on too much weight, about 2lb.
    4. Did a bit of shopping to smarten up a house we are trying to let. Will spend the evening watching the opening (yes opening) ceremony whilst i sew some hems on some curtains
    5. DD is cooking dinner - and she isn't even eating it.:T

Kids slept 17 hours!!!!! Had to waken them in the end, just to check they were breathing. I don't know how their bladders stand it!
I wanna be in the room where it happens
