    Hey!

Feeling a bit unwell, remnants of a stomach infection! However there have been some highlights in my day!

1 - Bright sunny day. Love walking to and from work in when it's like that.

2 - Having a work meeting in a cafe so I could enjoy a pot of tea at the same time.

    3 - Seeing Brave! It's soooo cute.

4 - Being curled up in bed early.

5 - And the best one. Telling more people about my big life decision and getting a lot of support.

Saturday evening here, steak pie and roasties in oven, home made, steak done in slow cooker this afternoon. I am glad to be able to cook again.

I had eggs that have been lying about for ages as I've not been baking or cooking, anyway decided to make a pavlova this morning .....yikes one of the eggs was totally rotten, I have never smelt anything like it. So was a tad wasteful and chucked them all out.

    1. Up very early, phoned my very wise friend, who was just heading out to celebrate her daughter getting into uni but she had time to offer me wise words re my DD2, then phoned my other friend and she told me I always give her wise advise which she appreciates! So lots of wisdom at 5.30am.

    2. Treated myself to more daffodils this morning. I have always loved them and associate them with my birthday in spring ( which is now autumn here!), they would be so cheap back home but not here so they are a treat but I'm worth it:) they will give me a weeks pleasure looking at them.

3.went into next town with girls, picked up DD2's new specs which she loves, we can claim money back on our insurance. Also got photos developed .

    4. Went to see kangaroos , took some photos but rain started to pour so didn't get as many taken as I wanted. I could just watch them for ages, the way they just bound along.

    5. DD 1 home safely from her trip. I know I want my kids to have experiences (and especially ones out here that they wouldn't get back home) but I am happierwhether they are back home. She had a good time but weather was severe blizzards and her poor lips were all chapped and her hair ....yikes! She has very long hair and it was like a brillo pad this morning when she got up

Looking forward to the Olympics this evening , nearly done. I think GB has down so well putting on an amazing event.

Have. Lovely weekend.....hope the sun shines, cold and wet here again.

    Hi all
    1. Been away last weekend for a luxury break. Its good to come home and see the place with new eyes. Have been de cluttering and cleaning all week with fresh energy.
So, lots of stuff chucked into bin and other stuff to the charity shop. Out today includes 2 bin bags of "stuff" thrown away. A few decent clothes to the charity shop, a couple of other items given away to a relative. And soon 4 rugs out and 1 new rug in , next week. Then 4 cushions out and 2 new in when I've decided which colour . Great.
    2. DGS is here today and he loved watching the ducks on the river earlier.
    3. Sun shining and its warm
    4.loads of washing done
    5. Hairy bikers diet progamme. Its fantastic.

    Today was wonderful,
1.We went out to a little local steam fair it was nice but a bit to small.
2.With time on our hands we found an afternoon bootfair, picked up some sewing things from a surly woman, who very grudgingly sold them, and we aren’t hagglers, dread to think what she is like with them. Bought some big cleaning rolls for the animals, and 4 horror books for 20p, as I’m out of books and can’t afford my kindle yet. My last kindle savings went on a vet trip ah well they are worth it.
3.A lovely big cuppa and RTC’d apple cinnamon turnovers scrummy.
    4. We have been asked to rescue a fuzz of someone being made homeless by the council, which we will do later, nice to be able to help, thankfully it’s not the council asking or we would be over run in no time I can’t help thinking.
    5. Looking forward depending on number 4 to a relaxing evening, both DH and I could fall asleep nowish. Doh.
