Feeling very thankful tonight so thought I'd post
1) woken by kittens wanting cuddles at 5.15am, such a lovely way to wake up.
2) Completed my two day fast, I managed it! :j
3) heard from DD1 who's away until Friday, she's having a ball but misses us and can't wait to come home.
4) DD2 has friends round for a sleepover, they're lovely, polite teenagers and a pleasure to have.
5) An hour in the warm conservatory with my wonderful DH this morning, just chatting, enjoying the warmth and making plans."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Just time to sit down and write my five after a manic evening preparing for...
1...DS coming tomorrow until Sunday :j
2. Had a review at the gym, almost everything increased - weights, times etc., - except one 'orrible machine that hates me so pt has left that one as is
3. Called into a discount linens shop and got some lovely plain, very white net for only £2.50p a panel
4. A paper light shade I bought ages ago for another room and didn't go is perfect for the landing light. I knew it would come in useful one day
5. Lots of bits taken from the lounge are now in a bag for DD's next football club car boot. Redec'ing isn't exactly OS, there are so many new things to buy, but it is fun
Sweet dreams0 -
kittikins- thank you . I am sorry to hear you have a nasty burn x
Pooky - a two day fast is that due to the Horizon prog. presented by a Moseley the other night ?? Is he anything to do with the Moseley's and Mitfords I wonder??

have a good day all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
My parrots would say : no worries, g'day, awesome , amazing ....take your pick,I hear these phrases all blooming' day! Then they'd probably tell you all about their gold medals....now they have more than one:)
1.my daffodils are still pretty.
2.up early this morning so phoned my niece and my friend.
3.DD1 is away to snow camp! 3 days of snowboarding. And she is going to make a snowman....to get her money's worth she said!
4.work has been crazily busy this week, we had our busiest day ever yesterday and whilst it is mad I am proud of how well we do as a team and being able to offer a hug to one of my young pups who was just so overwhelmed by the biz yesterday and just started sobbing.
5. OH continues to improve in tiny little steps. He is still far from normal and still has a way to go but it is so heartening to see these improvements.
I was asked to attend a meeting at school to discuss DD2 yesterday. She has continued to be bullied and has been given support at school. So I thought I was going in for an update on this. Imagine my shock to be told they want to refer her to a psychologist! I was absolutely gutted and whilst I am prepared to take their advice on this I feel they would be better dealing with the 2 girls who constantly swear at her, tease her, generally just being horrid cows to her and seemingly getting away with it as long as they don't get caught.
For a wee girl who was really looking forward to going to high school 6 months ago she is a changed person. Does not enjoy school and just finds these girls so hard to deal with. We tell her to ignore them but that's easier said than done. Back home she would be due to start secondary next week and I just know it would not be such an issue for her.
I just wish I could make things better for her......she would love to move back home but that's not happening anytime soon.
Anyway, have a lovely day whatever your up to...hope the sunshines ( blooming chilly and very wet here)0 -

MHags I'm completely angry for you and your DD. Why is it the victim always gets the short end of the stick? Sometimes i think the whole world is going bananas.
Hope everyone has a reasonable day, stay calm and carry on(I could do with taking my own advice sometimes )

5 Cat is now in full stupid runt recovery mode. Only has aneglic eyes for Ms Sonny, whom dotes the tiger. Still manage to get his gob stoppers down in one shot, quick flick and a run off for goo. He had a bath on Monday, cor was he ... Still, Ms Sonny is hand feeding him cheese and titbits.
4 Seems Peg has found my photo on the Ineternet and and wants me to do all sorts. Strange, last week I am sure she was called Ira. Strange think is, I winks she used the same words as well. I will just make do with pop ups and other things.
3 I am free today and may walk into town, raiding the GARGINs in the charity shops. Normally go for seedies, ooops CDs, last time I managed to get an orignal Frankie Goes to Hollywood for next to no pennies. And I got some bargain books as well.
2 days to go before TILAMS is at Wembley for the Football. I am in the lower tier girls, on the left of the picth near the LH corner flag. I will blow kisses etc everytime the ball is down there. I will be wearing GTFC top, so look out for me.
1 Along with the riches, one kept theirs under their hat. Another took his share and went to put it into the bank. But today, the banks had been given too much? Or where the money changers kicked out of the medieval halls?
Rites, I am off to get my ticket for the train now. Last year they told us all to book months in advance for this weekend. Silly baffooons. Just chickened on line and return is £41, cheaper than when I looked in February, so yers sees Mr Seb, I did not takes your advice about booking early. Now all Ms Sonny as to do is pack me duffle bag, with cheese, marmite and onion sarnies.I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!
