Firth:-Argh good god I am so sorry.
Chicken:- Good on you for sticking to your guns I don't understand this mentality people have got that work is 24/7 I leave it when I leave the office.
1. Work was ok, and I remembered my Lunch
2. Went to Asda picked up serious barginous stuff, thing is thou the freezers are sighing under the strain. It's so addictive, they had 10p sandwiches for work lunches also he he..:j so stocked up for a fortnight.
3. Relaxing and finished a book and on to the next one.
4. Couple of loads of washing done as well, I'm impressed with the limited time this evening
5. Enjoying flicking through the Asda mag, and know there is an rtc dessert from earlier bargins.:rotfl:0 -
CCP thanks for telling me about the pollen, I just looked it up and it doesn't look good. However the plant is going in quite a big pot rather than the ground so might be just out of reach for the mogs
Chicken re your #3 - you go girl! Blooming cheek asking to call your private number
DD how very sad that a little girl of that age should know death. It sounds like the best of a bad day though, good that she was involved in the balloon release, a memory she'll treasure
Frith unfortunately not all parents know how to control their children. Sensible of you to remove yourselves from the situation.
1. Up early, dining room curtains washed dried and ironed by 10am
2. The plasterer arrived! Only been waiting three weeks and had two let-downs but at last the wall is done and the decorator can come when it's dry.
3. He was a lovely young man, very polite, cleaned up at the end of the day, I'd hardly have known he'd been even though he had to chip masses of plaster off the wall before he could re-do it. Perhaps the morning coffee, lunchtime omelette and afternoon tea and cake helped. Got to keep the workmen sweet when they do eventually get here!
4. Postie brought me another tub of ahhh gravy to trial/compare, will give the first one to DD. She also brought me a fine chiffon-y type scarf/shawl I bought from eb@y for £2, which matches my new 'wedding' dress
5. nsd/npd

Usually I will use the Day Format but I think I have some exceptions to report.
1) My New Hairstyle: a complete Restyle that has literally saved my life from Tony and Guys in the Town Centre. I decided to take MSE Advice and go for a Model Cut and for a Fiver got £50 Haircut.
Results below:
[IMG][/img]
and the back after it was done I feel like a Film Star:beer::beer::D:D:D [IMG][/img]
2) My HM White Loaf a 4 cup recipe with Yeast Sachet, 1 tsp Sugar, 1 tsp salt (needs more) olive oil dash, and a bit of milk powder.
[IMG][/img]
3) The discovery of the Art Gallery where I can plug in my Laptop, only need to access the WIFI Connection but Exhibitions are very wouldbe friendly to me. (Latin American peasants who have been exploited and destroyed by an hegemonic US) Minimum Spend.
4) Another Cafe Christian this time who is big enough to take in a wider community than just youth, thank goodness again plugs for Laptop and minimum spend.
5) My new portable chair so I can set myself in the local Country Park and get away from it all.
[IMG][/img]BEFORE Recipe is Raspberry and Lime component of Raspberry and Peach Popsicles on La Tartine Gourmande.

Re your bosses request to phone PERSONAL phone. Do a wouldbe and get yourself a cheap mobile £10/one good enough to text comfortably on? and get boss to call THAT phone. Name that phone 'B' phone or Z list phone for alll unwanted calls that need answering.
That way you are in touch etc but keeping PERSONAL phone, PERSONAL!!#TY Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

I forgot to say the most important thing: I left my bread dough which I had to do twice in the machine for TWENTY FOUR HOURS for first proving, then once I had knocked it back, proved it for a further TWO HOURS before putting in oven.
The results spoke for themselves, my loaf is/was tasty, springy, had character and bounce. I am definitely gonna prove my loaves and it seemed to make the definitive difference for a non-Sourdough loaf another plan of mine as it increasingly makes sense, to use the natural rising agents in bread to prove bread.#TY Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Back from a fab 'holiday' in London town
Recent pleasures...
1. Watching the Olympic opening ceremony. Wow! (Until, as per others, Paul McC started murdering one of his songs....really, just give up love!)
2. Using our new Family Railcard to get mega discounts on trains, we were in zone 4, so it worked out cheaper to buy returns to a London terminus with a travelcard than buying a travelcard on its own
3. Met up with my bro for dinner
4. At that dinner, took DD out for her first curry
5. Tried and failed, to get olympics tickets but will almost certainly go to the paralympics
6. Had a lovely time with our friend who put us up in style
7. She took us to see Matilda, double wow, it is FABULOUS
8. DD and I went to the zoo and had a great time, we went to various talks, saw tons of cool reptiles but the best were the gorgeous giraffes
9. Amazing trip to Museum of London - especially the Roman gallery talk, so informative and interesting, and very useful for DD who's going to be studying Romans next term
10. Good to be home
11. OH hereHe's off to Italy later today lucky beggar
12. Payday - phew!!
13. Mowed the lawn using our new to us mower and it was much easier this time. I even got vague 'stripes' on the grass!0 -
Chicken - tell them to get stuffed
well we ade still here and OH is still there awaiting passport delivery. i know i said i dont pine but he should be here!!
VJsmum- no you are not pining its just not right that your OH is not there . He must be fumin' too
PS -I did tell them to get stuffed , however all bar one of my colleagues freely make work related calls on their personal mobile phones and receive call from work. Boundaries !! They can buy us phones if they want us to be contacted during working hours when we are out and about. Rant over x;)
wouldbequalitymoneysaver- wow -you have stunning hair and bread !!
Frith - how awful :(Violence is violence we both know the carp that can cause x
PK-;):AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
VJsmum- sorry to hear about the continued delay in your OH joining you
Frith - (((hugs))) so sorry to hear the holiday didnt go as planned. Sort of reminds me of my ex-husb who told me as he rarely saw our son he wasnt gonna spend the time he did have telling him off.... cop out from having to be a father in his case... wants to be "mates" with DS and can honestly say hes been a useless father ever sinceEven DS thinks so (and hes 17yo now).
For yesterday
1. got some more jobs done off my summer "to do" list
2. got rid of an old sofa that I couldnt give away (honestly charity shops are so picky these days !) by chopping it up and taking to tip. If DS had listened to my instructions in the first place (instead of thinking at age 17 that he knows it all) it would have been done in half the time. He will learn eventually that mother knows best
3. Had really nice lunch with DS in chinese cafe in town after dropping sofa at tip
4. Took DS shopping for clothes.. not a pleasure as I cant believe how much he moaned, and he wouldnt try anything on- but he did get 5 tshirts and a sweatshirt and some shoes in primarni and came to just over £40. As hes been wearing the same 2 tshirts for the last month and outgrown his other he was in dire need, but I think he would have been happy to just keep wearing the same 2 !!
5. couple glasses of wine and catch up with friend last night. Feeling really chilled.:cool:0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗
Retired at 55 & now living off the equity £10k a year (until pensions start at 60 & 67).

Ooops bin outs a couple of days. Sorry. KNC'd
Just wonder, to make the Olympic more appealling, how about making the Fencers do it on bungee ropes, Archers use ducks like on the prom and cycling to use 1970's choppers. Put a plug hole in the rowing boats, that lets in water.
Some from the days.
7 Tablets are giving mes real dreams, seesm the moggie is in moist of them. Last nigh he had been turned into some ferreting bunny, chasing foxes!
2 Had fish and Chips with Ms Sonny on Monday.
5 Watching the Beach Volleyball at night really makes TOTPs and PP look ancient.
3 Tablets I am on are fantasimmimou.
6 Could murder a six pack of wobbleade
1 Never jostle each other, each shall move to the right position. They can reach their end without missing a step.
