    Last couple of days pleasures:
1.Just bought a beautiful duvet set at charity shop, red and white and so pretty....a good hot wash and it will be fine!
2.Took kids out for tea last night, they are good company!
3.Work whilst mad provides me with a state of normality......but could have strung one of my young colleagues up this afternoon, she is very moody and was in a bad one this afternoon, stomping around! We had our busiest day ever and it certainly felt like........we are the place to be on campus.
4.Getting money back for GP appointments. We have to pay $67 to see a doctor and we get $37 back from Medicare . So had 3 appointments to claim for.
5.I have snowdrops, jonquils, bluebells ,camellias all blooming in my garden, rose bushes (loads of them) starting to bud and my trees are starting to bud, I have catkins on my twisted hazel.Nights are stretching out the tiniest bit and the teeniest bit lighter in the morning......Spring may be round the corner (however.....wind would have cut you in two this afternoon :) )

    Have a lovely day :)

    Morning

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Chat with my boss re changes in the department whilst not 100% safe job wise feel a lot more settled.
    2. Remebered to bring lunch to work with me so a yummy chicken baguette and side salad. Also some SO cherries, nom nom
    3. Decided to stock up on the SO wine at Mr.T, whilst there also got biscuits for work so my shopping looked really healthy - 12 bottles of wine and a huge bag of biscuits:o
    4. Getting to do a nice part of my job and fill in the forms for people to get matched funding on charity events. not many people seem to take advantage of this which is such a shame as can add up to £150 to a charities funds.
    5. Nice chat with DB3 on the phone and swapping some MSE tips.

Hugs to all who need them

    Hi all

A few random pleasures in the last couple of days:

1 - DH has passed his martial arts grading!

2 - DH has passed his martial arts grading (this pleasure is my selfish one so I have another 11 months of peace before I hear him wail about how worried he is about his impending grading etc...!).

3 - While DH is away I am pretty much having a holiday myself, not too much to do, no fixed hour to have breakfast, or lunch, or dinner, or bedtime or anything. The kids are very flexible and mostly do their own thing so no fixed commitments. But I miss him, too!

4 - Amazing breakfast of poached eggs in tomato, chilli and peppers sauce with middle eastern spices (Shakshuka).

5 - Outing with friend and cup of tea after shopping

6 - Used up the £5 off a £35 spend at Aldi, voucher found in the street!

7 - Dentist visit, teeth all ok!

8 - DVD and TV dinner night, probably will be using up some leftover vege burgers and turn them into a vege stew with left over lentils, nice and easy.

    Good night all x
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Good evening all!

Dundee- oh the things we do under the influence....still wobbleade may be an unwobbleade in this instance I am not suggesting your bits wobble of course - never seem 'em;)

Caterina- you do eat some nice grub !

    5 for today

    1. Being tasked to do something at work as I am apparently known for dealing with tricky punters :rotfl:Couldn't get hold of the tricky punter in order to undertake a visit , so this will need to wait until another day.

    2. Work again -Sent a letter to a company that need to pull their socks up and stated why they need to do so - I have requested a written response within 10 working days which may prompt a visit if the response is not satisfactory.

    3. My manager asked if he could call me on my personal mobile to discuss work related stuff when I am not at work . I said no way Jose - my personal boundaries are just that . I am not the emergency services you know.

4.Nice tea of pasta cream veg and a bit of grated cheese.

    5. Mr. T vouchers have arrived - I will redeem them for trip to a pizza restaurant.

    have a good evening all!

Just about to take dd2 off to big ed so quick 5 while i wait for her to finish packing
    1) personal trainer said i shouldnt do shred every day so had a day off (oh i'm so easily distracted from exercise)
    2) chicken has never seen my wobbly bits lol (believe me this is a good thing, they are not pleasant)
    3) we bulls wobble but we dont fall down
    4) went to sam's funeral. The crem was packed. All seats taken, people standing in the side aisles, then after coffin brought in more allowed in the central aisle. Still 50 couldnt get in. Soooooo sad but really glad i could go and support dd2
    5) no wake as such but sam's mum put money at the bar for his mates at braes and we went back to my mate ally's. The sun shone and we sat in the garden. We all wrote messages to sammy, attached them to helium filled balloons and his wee sister (10) released them. She has a special celtic top with Sam Lewis 19 on the back. Caught up with people i havent seen for a while. In the circumstances it was the very best it could have been. Such a shame we never knew he needed a jenny.

Went on holiday on Saturday with my boys, meeting up with OH and his sons. We were due to go home next Saturday (4th) which is smaller son's birthday. So went with his present, birthday supplies etc.

It all went terribly wrong. :-( Set off for home at 11 this morning. Too stunned even to cry, just throwing clothes into random piles (obviously, the washing machine had to break here the day before I left).

I'm gutted, to be honest. Its the first time I've taken them on holiday for 7 years.

Ended up throwing everything into my car; I think it was obvious I was rather upset (probably obvious to the entire population of Wales). Had a text from OH that said "Have a good journey". That's it. (He's still there, probably happy as Larry).

Evening, thought I'd post some pleasures for today. Thankfully there has been a little less friction (though where one friction eases, another arises :s )

    1. A colleague brought in some of the Tunnock's mallows we all like as a pick us up.
    2. Have managed to avoid coffee today.
    3. Got all my ironing done, pressed and put away.
    4. We had a lovely meal tonight of chicken Korma and rice. Haven't had something so mild for a while so it was lovely.
    5. Had an NSD.

It's weird that it's nearly the middle of the week. However, it's August tomorrow, so possible to feel like I'm having a new start.

    have a good evening, all.

    K xx

Chickenopolis - not really OK yet. :-( What it is is that OH's oldest son (we shall name him A) just beats his brother (B) up ALL THE TIME. I know brothers fight (I have 2 sons and 1 brother) but this is just ridiculous.
