    Sunday pleasures:

1.Not waking too early, getting up, pottering about & doing that email!
    2.Lunch with OH & DD2.
3.Shopping, bought a pasta maker, hope to make my dough in kitchenaid & then my own lasagne......it's well seeing I have lots of cupboards in my new house! Got my phone top up for $10 less as shop gives that provider 10% discount & then had a $5 loyalty voucher.
    4.Home, hoovered & ironed .
5.Then we all went to see "rock of Ages' at the cinema, using cinema vouchers (with extra discount from kind shop owner!). The film was hilarious and the music was great! Loved it!
6.Carrot & coriander soup for tea with lovely crusty bread.

Had a spider incident....you may have heard the screams! It was in my laundry basket then ran into the pantry cupboard! Yikes! By this time I was on top of my bed in a state! Then when I was hoovering it was under the breakfast bar......I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt that it was the same spider! It is, no longer :(......horrid things!
  • 1, waking up to the sound of my DS singing 'happy fathers day' to his daddy ... bless him.

2, Sticking half a leg of lamb in the oven that I bought for £3 from the reduced section of Mr T's the other week but saved it especially for today as its Dh's fav meat

3, snuggling up under a blanket on the sofa watching Harry potter with my son

4, looking out in our garden to see all out veg thriving

5, staying in m pyjamas all day just chilling

    I love Sundays .... :) x
  • Sunday Service, aye, Fire, Brimstone, Toads and Treacle.

Just like KB, we are having something different today. Got fed up with the price of Mince, so we have Country Pie tonight for dinner.

5 Ms Sonny is refreshed after her social course yesterday, but one of the tweeters she connected with has forgotton the art of not be an nuisance. 85 tweets froom him already. Sorry, but that snowboreded me, and he is on foul off the delist button.

4 Day Week and Friday off

    3 Biscuits and Tea

2 Make way for fathers today, for those present, those that were and tthose that will.

1 It only takes a minute to give your gripe, but you will not get absolution. If you want to increase your number of friends, use your lugs, not your tongue. be thankful for there woes and deeds, even if they are at odds with yours. they are worth it.

Not done my five in a while but I am back today :) Always nice to think of the positive things when you're not having the best time!

    1. Giving my Dad his Father's day present, and seeing him & my Mum for a couple of hours.

    2. Had a really good clean around our flat and it is so much better now - going to keep it this way now rather than it getting in a big mess whilst I'm out on my placement.

    3. Our house cat escaped out of the window, giving me a twenty minute panic and dread before she pottered back in wanting lots of attention and strokes ... happy she is back!!

    4. During and after my cleaning I have been listening to old music that remind me of Sunday mornings when I was a child - nice uplifting songs.

    5. Boyfriend is making us HM pizza for tea using up some goats cheese, mozzarella & veggies ... should be lovely!

Hope everyone else has had a lovely day x

    1) NSD and NPD.

    2) Cleared on the raised bed at the front of my flat that a neighbour's cat has been using as a litter tray (I know it's not my mog as getting there takes an agility the poor old critter no longer possesses :(), planted out the RTC cotoneaster I bought a few weeks ago, and sprinkled the area with organic cat repellent to stop it being dug up again. I'm sure the repellent will work - the scent turns my stomach, so I hate to think what it would do to the more sensitive nose of a cat.

    3) Had a chat on the phone to my DF, who liked the card and present I got him for Father's Day. I thought he would - we have very similar tastes in most things - but it's nice to know for sure. :)

    4) Arranged a day out with my DM the week after next: we changed our mind about our original destination as the weather forecast isn't good, but I think I've come up with a good alternative (somewhere with a roof! ;)).

    5) My pea plants have got a couple of pods on. :j

    6) Did the rest of the gardening I meant to do yesterday, including planting some leek seedlings (leeklings?) in a tub: they won't have room to grow to full size but they should be good for baby leeks. I also planted some more beans to replace the ones that were killed by the gales last week.

    7) Lots of football tonight - England women on shortly, then a choice of two matches a bit later on. :footie: :D

    Have a good evening all.
Back after a very long break!

    Good evening all!

OT - ooh pony books . I gave mine away too. However, I have a 1974 Pony Magazine Purnell annual on my dusty book shelf . I was always jealous of the girl on the front on a beautiful grey show pony !

KB - I have a sore throat and I am a bit sniffy . I refuse to have a cold on my week off !

    5 for yesterday

    1. I have my Mums dog here :)

    2. Had a lie in after letting the hens out at 4.30 am.

    5. Went out with OH who gave some legal advice to a colleague of mine who is divorcing her husband .

    5 for today.

    1. The dog has settled in well and we didn't hear a peep out of her all night .

2.Got up at 4.30 am let hens out and went back to sleep until about 8.30 am , because I can :D.

    3. Made some scones and some buns made in the silicon heart shaped cases that I got on offer a few weeks ago. Feel like baking at the moment :)

    4. OH got the food shopping

    5. OH got a huge piece of rump steak for just over £4 - we are having this tonight .

Chicken - hope you feel better soon.
TLIAMS - this particular meal will be v tasty if I can get it right. Layers of soft flour tortillas with chunks of chicken, bacon and sausage (and veg) in a wobbleade and BBQ sauce... mmm... oh and topped with grated cheese.

Well, it's nearly the end of the day. I can right my pleasures for today now, I guess, as I don't know how much time I'll have a bit later on. Lasagne is in the oven and there's a few bits to do before work tomorrow. Here goes:

    1. The lasagne. The pleasant surprise was 250g mince making 5 portions of lasagne! I can't believe how far it has s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d!
    2. Went for a walk by the local Steam Railway and enjoyed a bit of sunshine.
    3. We got home just as it was starting to spit with rain and so missed a free cold shower.
    4. I've managed to avoid drinking any Cola for 2 days in a row :D
    5. The coconut cake I made on Friday went down very well indeed

Right, off again now. Tea is cooking and I can smell it which means it'll soon be time to put the garlic bread in the oven. Mmm.. Night!

    K xx

Mhags I too am terrified of spiders... I was out gardening today and felt something tickle my arm, I looked down and screamed, and frantically whacked it away. My neighbour was so concerned he stuck his head over the fence :o I am sure the spider was more scared of me, but I didnt hang around to ask it...... ;)
