Hello, feels like Monday but it's Tuesday!
1.Had to scrape my car windscreen this morning....first frosty morning! I had my gloves on so it wasn't too bad!
2.Work was madly mental ...however, it was payday again, I do like getting paid fortnightly.
3.Left bang on time, home in good time and made mince & potatoes for tea.
4.having an early celebration for DS's 17th birthday tomorrow, because I'm out so early and then kids are at school and he has an exam. So presents tonight & cake tomorrow :0
5.Watching Oz masterchef and Jamie Oliver is guest chef. I do like Jamie.
6.Met a chihuahua called Sid Vicious today!

I do appreciate your thoughts & virtual hugs, OH had a 6 hour outing today. He had 3 appointments & then had to wait 2 hours for his radiotherapy appointment then home in rush hour with no seats on the train. However he managed his mince & tatties, then custard & carrot cake.

    Have a lovely day x

    Hello

Pleasures for the last couple of days,
    1. Completing the Moonwalk in Edinburgh and being so glad we only did the half. The hills were:eek: plus it was rather wet and windy but got there in the end. My poor friend K was struggling though, she had some huge blisters.
    2. Fab ghost walk in Edinburgh, followed by a much needed whisky in the pub
    3. Nice to be home in my own bed with lots of cuddles off DD and OH
    4. Naughty Chinese takeaway when got home as couldn't be bothered to cook
    5. Pack of chocolate in the post to try for a survey. Being paid to eat chocolate can life get better.

Hugs to all who need them

Then the ex went in for his meeting. He had sons for tea yesterday and they came back saying Daddy had said the meeting was stupid and that my OH shouldn't have been there etc. So it was a long evening with sons being scathing and mardy.

    Frith

You really do need to start recording all this stuff. The boys need contact but your ex's constantly running down you (and OH) is not acceptable. If you end up in court again, you need to demand an undertaking that this will stop.

In the mean-time I would restrict ant comment to something like "well, I appreciate that no man I ever date will be acceptable to your father, but he is not living here, so it is none of his business."
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

    Evening all.

    1) A nice night's sleep in my quiet bedroom, without a train zooming past every few minutes.

    2) A very naughty slice of LO pizza for breakfast - it just looked at me so appealingly when I opened the fridge to get out the yoghurt I'd intended to have. :o

    3) The maintenance dept at work finally gave in and put the heating back on as everyone was so tired of being frozen the whole time.

    4) A phone call from my DSis, informing me that a) she's in the last 100 of a competition to win tickets to an exclusive gig by a band we both like and b) she's coming to visit next weekend. :j

    5) Got home from work and put the football on, then out to the pub quiz / watch more football in a little while, knowing I no longer have revision to do. :)

    Have a good evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

Might get up and eat and watch news with OH. He'll think I've abandoned him.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • sparrer have to admit to using jar of sauce bought 6 jars ages ago when they were half price at moresons and have now used the last one, so am going to have to have a go at making it myself.... how hard can it be :o.... main ingredients are tinned toms, apricots, coriander, garlic, mint, paprika, cayenne pepper, cinamon and cumin. maybe a little cornflour or tom puree to thicken if needed, and I think I would puree the apricots. Blueberry flapjack sounds nom nom !!

Frith ((hugs)) so sorry to hear the school meetng was not very successful .. whatever happened to inclusion for all :(

and sorry to hear about kitchen

    Sonny .... 83 ??? not your age surely ;)

Chicken have had a really poxy day today!!!

Work was so stressful today I wanted to cry when I left. Am feeling sick at the thought of going in again tomorrow. Have spent all evening again looking for new job but am so scared as I have done the same job for 24 years, but its changed beyond description, but job security as a single parent has always been major factor in staying. I know I should think myself lucky in this current climate to actually have a job..... sorry for the moaning and feeling sorry for myself :o

    2. Rain stopped this afternoon
