Evening! I've been storing up a few pleasures of late - been out in the garden making the most of the sunshine and some other bits & bobs happening has meant little time in front of the lappy.

    Here's the pleasures then:

    1. the sunshine. It's beautiful, warm and such a change. OK, so yes, it is a bit hot getting to sleep at night but I'd rather have that than rain!
    2. I made a very interesting lunch of diced spam, noodles & soy sauce with some chopped red peppers thrown in. Will do again!
    3. I got half the garden weeded before my back had a hissy fit and said "No more!" Only the other half to do and it's already looking much better.
    4. Went to a bit of a music festival (local one) at the weekend and saw some old bands and old friends. Good times.
    5. Rediscovering my love of summer food! Don't get me wrong, I love stews and curries, but doing sunshinedine stuff is just great. I made some bacon stuffing into kofte type kebabs and they disappeared! Pasta salad lapped up like rich cream and slices of meat make very easy teas.
    6. I keep seeing little bunny rabbits on the roundabout at work.
    7. Sticking to my 2 notebooks for mealplanning and shopping and haven't strayed too badly so far. If I joined the Grocery Challenge I'd probably not stick to it (haven't yet!) so I'm working on it!

Kitchenbunny. Rediscovering thrift, one day at a time.

    xx
Trying for daily wins, and a little security in an insecure world.
  • Another day, another dollar. Working for the Yankee Dollar.

Sun is shining brightly. Now, should I go forth and have a couple of wobbleades with Ms Sonny, and char a curry? Answers please.

    5 4 2 day

5 Gols Rings. Bit early I know, but got me thinking about, sorry, Christmas. I am down to the last Christmas pud, so do I have it for tea with ice cream or not, or let it brew in the side board for another day or two. It is homemade and if I stick around long enuff, I will place recipe round these parts for all to see. I promise you, nana will be !!!!ed, sorry happy.

4 Tempted now for this curry. I will not take phone as me and Ms Sonny will snoggle and cunoodle together. Sorry, but no cats tonight either, so he will have to get his own

3 Peeved when I got home, as I am still not very well and nebby neb neighbour was pounding at the gate. Does he f...ing well realise that at the moment I cannot get on my bike, I want to, but cannot. Nor am I bothered about some crap walk round an uninteresting garden, unless one of my models wishes to cool in the water, like Arthur and Excalibur. !!!!ed him off because of my phone and Internet deal. And he bragged his speed was 5mb and it was good for round here. Jumped up my speed tester and more than doubled it. One nil to sonny.

3 I have list count on the tablet. Talking of tablets, time for my...

2 Me and current Ms Sonny are off for a curry, so you lot can sit at home. We deserve it and you lot, can just sit and salivate your lips, safe in the knowledge that there will be now pictures of Sonny posted around the parish either. As for my cousin, thinking feelings of regret are now coming to life. No problems John, your picture is safe. It is all round your family. Never mind, my niece thinks your ... looks a bit big.

1 One day we will return here, by the gallow tree. To seek out the injustices that abound us and redress for those who have failed us. Until then, it is your fault not mine. Common thing that on some parts of this board. Things are a little hot and we hope that the eraser brush can do away with the harm that we have done. Just like MS Word and the undo function.

Perhaps after a few knocks, we would learn, but oh no, plod on regardless. Life is about now, if you cut your finger, it will bleed, it will hurt. There is no undo function. You cannot hide from your errors, only learn. It is easy to chuck it in, throw the keys back in vain that it will go away. It will, but your tail will leave a stain. Better ger redress from your position, then suffer more fore blaming someone else. At the end of the day, it is you that matters and no amount of hiding will wash away. Only tears of the crocodile will hurt in the end.

Rite, I ams off for me curry
I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!

    Evening all.

I had a pleasant if not very OS day in Chichester:

    1) A bit of a lie-in this morning as I didn't go to work.

    2) Spent my £3 L&kel&nd voucher without going too mad: I got a free bag of freezer bags with one of the items I bought (a stand for holding freezer bags while you ladle food into them, which will be useful when I do batch cooking), and a RTC pack of pannacotta mix which I'm looking forward to trying.

    3) Treated myself to a pub lunch which was very nice, although not what I was expecting: cheese with toast and salad is delicious, but it's not a ploughman's lunch, which is what it was called on the menu.

    4) Sitting down by the canal basin with a locally-made ice cream and the company of a very friendly poodle (dog magnet strikes again! ;)).

    5) Home cooked ham and cheese on toast for tea, I think - not as nice as sonny's curry, but still tasty. :)

    Have a nice evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

    6. Dinner will be a pasta bake using up anything and everything that’s due to go out of date but named a “Pasta Surprise”:rotfl:

PK this made me smile. My mum used to give us liver and onions for tea we all used to moan that we didnt like liver, so she started calling it "lamb surprise" :rotfl:still hated liver as a kid but love it now.

    1. Woke early 6.30am , but had a cup of tea and went back to bed and managed to snooze until 10am

    2. Went to get weekly shop at A1di and they had lots of stuff 50% off including sausages, mushrooms

    3. Realised half way round A1di that next Mon is bank hol, so went round again and bought 2 weeks shopping. Usually spend about £35 a week, but managed to get 2 weeks meals for £58.56. Will just need to get more salad and milk on Friday

    4. Sat and ate my lunch in the garden. Got some delish rosemary and garlic focaccia in A1di and had a lovely chicken salad

    5. Laid back and enjoyed the peace and quiet. No kids screaming or shouting, no neighbours sharing their awful taste in music, no dogs barking.... Then the peace was shattered by the kids at the junior school on their lunch break...their playing field is opposite the front of my house.... so got up and pottered round the garden. Did a bit of weeding and cut the grass

Evening all - feeling a bit "Bag!!!!!" myself this evening (ooh err missus - is the swear filter going to let me have that?) Or am i a tired old Hector?

Lovely day but is cooling off in a day or two, I hear

Five for today while DS does his maths homework

    1. Nice soak in bath
    2. Nice coffee with friend in the sunshine
    3. Bathrooms cleaned, bedroom tidied and all bedrooms dusted. Remaining windows cleaned all listening to more Harry Potter
    4. Lunch with DD - making the lady next to us laugh with our daft talk (Me "oh that's Jane Smith" DD "who's Jane Smith?" Me "She's one of the Smiths" "Talking about her bunting" DD "WHat is bunting????")
    5. Made yummy Bread pudding

Have a good evening all - oh for the record, I love Facebook but don't post if I've had a few and don't get involved with anything controversial - I just ignore it. But I have been in touch with friends and family I would had lost contact wiht.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Evening all :)

    1. Up with the lark, kitchen fronts cleaned, floor washed before I went out.

    2. The exercise class and gym afterwards took up the morning, then to DD's for a well deserved cuppa

    3. Filled the car up on the way home, a two mile detour earned me petrol at 132p as opposed to 135p on the main road and as it was almost empty I saved quite a bit :D

    4. A friend phoned to arrange to meet for coffee on Wednesday. I need to go into the nearby town for the bank, health food shop for gluten free flour and the local furniture store to drop some bits off so will kill several birds with one stone. The store has super second hand furniture, books, allsorts really, and for every item taken in, whatever village the donor lives in earns points toward a draw for items to benefit the village, iyswim.

    5. Cancelled an invitation from a friend, she's a lovely lady and very good friend but just for now I'm pulling back until things settle down a bit, I don't want to get drawn into others' prospectively volatile situations. Feel better for making the decision.

    6. Deadheaded the white lilac, it still smells beautiful but looks messy when the flower heads turn brown. I need find a tall person to prune it, I like to keep it about 6 feet high and it seems to have run away with itself this year

    7. Postie brought me some nice moisturiser, I don't think I'll ever have to buy any again!

    8. Silly chat on the phone with DB, Looking forward to seeing him on Thursday when we meet for DM's birthday lunch

    9. Had a visit from the HA's decorator this evening, he's coming at 8am  to varnish the outside woodwork, so I'd better go have my shower and get to bed or I won't be ready when he arrives

    Night night, sweet dreams :)

    Evening all,

VJsmum - I'm with you - I like FB... But am quite strict about who I'm friends with on there and don't use any of the apps except the scr@bble one.

    1) SUNSHINE!! Apparently this is the last day of the lovely weather... Boooooo!

    2) Driving about town with my town down (on the car...)

    3) Am baking a carrot cake tonight (how mad am I in this heat??)

    4) Picked up some cake tin liners from a nice lady on Freegle. She was chuffed with the jar of jam I took her. The people who I have accepted my offer of my spare TV have now not got back in touch. Its so rude!!!

    5) I popped into MrS for some cookies for afternoon tea. They were half price so was MSE!! I scoffed 3... Piggy pig pig!

    Night night

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    1. Still nice and sunny here, but thankfully a bit cooler

    2. My daddikins came down and did massive amounts of prep work to help make my bathroom fabulous

    3. DD was so happy to see him, he got even more cuddles than I've had today!

    4. Guiding campfire was good fun, the girls all looked cute in their crowns and hats and we had bunting and goodies galore!

    5. Campfire tea was my dinner nomnom, lots of sandwiches, a bit of cake and some crisps.

    6. OH was here this morning :)

    7. Got a good car parking space at work today and will have again tomorrow

    8. Fabulous time with the physiotherapist, she was really pleased with my progress and I surprised myself with some of the exercises she got me to do

    9. Came home to a letter inviting me to an appointment with a podiatrist to hopefully build on the physio work, woohoo!

    10. Managed to get an appointment for yet more electrical pre-work which will keep the electrician sweet before the rewire, woohoo!

    11. DD appears to be asleep, in her own bed, and not mine :)

Time for me to go and luxuriate in my lovely big bed, all to myself tonight, hoorah! As much as I love DD and OH, it is nice to have a few nights a week where I can stretch out and lie diagononally if I want to!
