    7. OH has started decorating my bra. How wrong does that sound :D. He looked quite funny last night painting a bra with fabric paint

Tealady- I would have paid good money to see this - did he paint eyes on it??

Your DD is a chip off the old block re a bargain - you taught her well;)

Thank you all all for the birthday wishes ! xx

    Belated Happy Birthday chicken :D
Mhags good to hear your OH is having a home visit, hope it brightens all of you to have him back for a short while
Tealady you're amazing, good luck with the MoonWalk. I'll be there also but supporting a friend, not doing the walk!

    1. Woke to a lovely bright morning, almost 36 hours dry weather so made up my mind to mow the lawn when I came back this afternoon
    2. Out for lunch with friends courtesy Mr T vouchers, started with chilli king prawns, went on to gratin d'aubergine for the main and finished tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream. It didn't scupper my weight loss plan though cos I didn't have any potatoes :p
    3. Went window shopping afterwards but a shoe shop was open, so got a pair of deck shoes in a sale, £10 off the £14 price tag
    4. There was a £1 shop, I never have the opportunity to go to one but was very restrained, only spent £3 on necessities
    5. No petrol day, I didn't drive :D
Not a pleasure - it rained while I was out so lawn still not been mown

    Sleep tight :)

Happy birthday CHICKEN! Hope your day was very special and the coming year is filled with much success and happiness x

DUNDEEDOLL - you should be ashamed of yourself re the goldfish joke ;p though it did make me snigger. :)
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Happy Birthday chicken :)

mhagster - hugs to you and your OH as you go through this beastly time, hope that you have a lovely day with him xxx

    1. Very spendy day - I bought a bicycle from a French named sports shop miles away from home, long drive but worth it for a bike that is much better than the H*lfords same-priced one. Now to make sure I can actually ride the darned thing....I have to put my bad foot on the pedal oddly to be able to ride as I can't bend my ankle very well, but I'm hoping that it will get easier with practice, keep your fingers crossed for me, otherwise DD has a grown up bike awaiting her in a few years' time!

    2. Bought DD a fab purple coat which she lurves

    3. Cheapy lunch at Co$tco, yummy baked potato and beans, nomnom. Huge, cheap and healthy (as DD has put me on a diet)

    4. Nice chat with OH on the phone, he's feeling rubbish at the moment, I think more down to coming off a drug he's been on for 8 years than anything else, so I've not seen him since Friday morning....but I know he lurves me so that's okay :)

    5. No guitar lesson today but DD has promised me we will have 2 tomorrow :)

    6. Managed to get a load of washing out and dry on the line

    7. Have made fairy cakes for tomorrow night's Rainbows and there was enough cake mix left to make a flying saucer of a cake for DD to chomp on, not me of course what with my diet ;)

    8. Only spent £7 in Co$tco on tinned tomatoes, bananas and potatoes, managed to bypass all the yummy but calorific things.

    Many happy returns chicken.

Mhagster - hope things pick up for you soon

Kittikins - keep pedalling, and keep talking about guitar lessons - I am feeling inspired to start practising the piano again

Hugs to everyone else - whether you need it or not :p

    For yesterday

    1. Singing my head off to the radio 1 chart of the millennium, whilst doing my chores. SUch a random mix of S club, Eminem, X factor songs and "Don't ya wish your girlfriend was hot like me" as I pushed the mop round the kitchen floor :rotfl:
    2. Getting the ironing done - it has been looking at me from a corner for a few days
    3. Going for a walk with OH when he got in.
    4. DS asking if he could do a bit of ironing. He is only 13 but wanted to have a go. There's hope for that boy...
    5. A soak in the bath, reading up on where we should visit when we go to the States in the summer - exciting :j

Invigilation this afternoon - groan - have a good day all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
