    5 for today (Tuesday)

    1) Sons off to school quite happily. Smaller son forgot that he was going to be ill!

    2) Tidied the living room in preparation for the ed psych's visit. Even polished the piano!

    3) Took my mum into town and looked round the charity shops. Got a vest style top and a t shirt for smaller son.

    4) Had a game of Scrabble with my mum. Now, mum is quite straight laced (church organist etc) and in one move I put "reefer" and in the next, she put "p0rn" !!

    5) Tea made from bits left in the fridge - baked 2 sweet potatoes and had them with a bit of mayo, an avocado and a slice of ham.

    6) Nice texts from OH. :-)

    7) Smaller son was in "gold" today on the behaviour board! Quite a turn around for him.

    8) Felt in a good mood again for most of the day. :-)
  • Stressful day at work but still managed some pleasures

    1. Quiet drive to work, was surprised not much traffic

    2. My old team (before disbanded) won the monthly award for best timekeeping so we were allowed 30 mins off phone and management team provided goodies, so free lunch too :j
    3. Sun was shining when came out of work

    4. Checked my last 2 receipts from when popped into @sda and they were not 10% cheaper so have 59p money off vouchers to use next time. Not life changing amount but every little helps;)

    5. Lovely chilli beef stir fry for tea using up all lo veggies and mushrooms that were past their best.

    Evening all

Frith - your posts seem much happier :D

    1. Forgot about a meeting and I was late. Student forgave me though and it went well
    2. Nice coffee and catch up with colleagues
    3. Some reasonable whoopsies in Mr M
    4. Had an evening just watching TV - rarely do that. Have really enjoyed "the syndicate" - not sure I want to win the lottery now :p
5 Lovely meatballs and pasta for tea with the tomato sauce pasta left over for lunch tomorrow.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Hello, a very wet Anzac Day here, so I have day off work and kids are off school. OH told doctors he was having the day off hospital but nah! That's not happening!

    Tuesday pleasures:
    1. Mad,crazy day at work...our busiest day ever, keeps the mind of other things!
2.nice phone call from friends who are coming to see us today (I'm on wednesday )
3.picked up by one friend and dropped off by another and nice chit chats with both.
4.my husband continues to improve daily and I saw a big difference in him. Nurses disconnected his tubes long enough for us to have a couple of short walks around the ward.
5.home to my lovely children and chips for tea! Then crumble and cream for pudding.

I've just had my weekly bath and dropped my new book (paid real money for it too :( ) in the bath so a rather soggy new book is drying out!

Phoned my mum for a chat.

    Have a good one!

Great news Mhagster, good to hear your DH is improving daily even to the extent of being cheeky with the doctor :D. Happy Anzac Day to all in the land down under

Where is Ladyhawk? Hope all is well with her

    1. Thank you for the memory jog Skint Yet Again, looked out the receipt I got last week and have £1.10p to come back :D

    2. First full day at home since Friday, got lots done and the tip is beginning to resemble a home again.

    3. Friend in for tea this pm, we put the world to rights over the last two hc buns

    4. After a worrying period, DS has made a decision which hopefully will give him some peace of mind, and eventually the happiness he deserves. Bleddy kids, are they never off our minds?!

    5. Finally managed to get some time in the garden - it looks like it's been abandoned for months. The forecast is rain for the next few days so I'm pleased I got as much done as I could

    Sleep tight :)
