    Evening everyone :)
My pleasures for the weekend are:

    1. Had a lovely family get together for H's 40th birthday celebrations, was lovely to see family we hadn't seen since Christmas.
    2. Compliments on the iPad cake I made for H's birthday party :)
    3. A fair bit of wine consumed as said party ;)
    4. Managed to dry a load of washing on the line - dont think that will be happening much next week by the looks of the weather forecast.
    5. Had some gorgeous sunshine this morning whilst walking the dog
    6. Some lovely left overs for breakfast and lunch, I just love eating party food the day after :rotfl:
    7. DS describes himself as an inventor (he's 6) and he's been making all sorts out of left over paper plates, plastic knives and forks and plastic cups :T
    7. Had a 2 hour nap today, much needed as have felt quite emotionally drained.

Sorry not replying individually, got to catch up on all your posts :o
Have a great Sunday evening :)

    Evening all :)

    1. had a good day with DM although she's noticably more forgetful and gets very tetchy if she's reminded of things. Her sister, my Aunt, passed away after suffering from Alzheimers disease for some years and I think DM is terrified of the same happening to her. Just have to keep reassuring her and saying my memory is much more rubbish than hers!
    2. Good lunch at zizzi - aubergine parmgiana, and lemon tart - I haven't had enough of Italian food yet :D
    3. Weather held out til we were back at DM's flat. Poured most of the way home but it's watered the garden and filled my water butt for another day
    4. ISS passed over tonight but I didn't see it, probably would have if I had a telescope. Did see the local satellite, a plane and masses of stars though. It was blooming cold standing out there in my dressing gown, but worth it :)
    5. The 'a' on my keyboard is sticking so have just had to go back over the whole post and add the missing a's. Some of the words did make me smile, it was very cheap entertainment :D

    Sleep tight :)

Was far too cold to post last night - new boiler has broken, am waiting on the repair man.

    For yesterday

    1. Bit more cleaning and sorting - getting there slowly
    2. Nice afternoon walk with OH at one of our local National Trust properties, followed by
    3. Afternoon tea - with scones and cream
    4. Finally sorted out my knitting - have had to restart a few times
    5. Nice LO chicken pie for tea - DD had veggie pie and DS had a whoopsied steak pie.

    Have a good day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    bedtime here:
1.woke up early and went into work early. Took my time getting stuff sorted.
2.Busy at work kept my mind off other things (for a wee while)
3.Came home had some RTC chocolate cheesecake.
4.DD1's friend's mum (who is also mum to DD2's tormentor...awkward!) came to visit me with the most beautiful bunch of large headed yellow roses (proper flowers from a florist!) DD1 told her friends today about her dad.
Much tears & snots, a bit of laughter & a big long blether!
5.We went out for dinner. Our last meal together before surgery as DD1 has work Tues/Weds nights. Food was lovely. ( and I didn't have to cook any of it!
6.Continuing to get emails full of good wishes.

    Night night!

Oh no, a broken boiler sounds horrible VJsmum, hope the engineer comes soon. I'm sitting at work wishing I had a coat to put on, it's so cold (and probably a lot nicer than being in a house with no heating....shiver!)

Afternoon, everyone. Only a couple of pleasures to post today but I'm sure there'll be some more later. Here goes:

    1. The frost this morning made everything look wintery still. I really love biting mornings with a blue sky.
    2. Found a tray of 5 chicken thighs and 5 drumsticks on offer at £2 - not an RTC one either. I've divvied it up into tonight's curry (thighs) and the drummies to do another time. Bargain.
    3. Tried a trick of filling an old milk carton (plastic one) with water and froze it overnight. I used it to keep the chicken cool on the way home and it worked a charm. Happy days.

Right, off now to prepare tea. Chicken Tikka tonight (made without a jar for the first time in ages so it'll probably fail :p ) Have a lovely evening, everyone.

    KB xx

    Good evening all !

mhagster - ((hugs)) to you and yours xx

    a few for today

    1. Chaotic day at work, lots of "can you, can you, can you" emails , asking me to look at X,Y and Z for them during my site visit today .

2.X,Y and Z looked at for other people yet it was the concerning stuff I uncovered on the off chance that had to be reported .Some days just go like this ... I didn't help that their manager knocked a glass of water over the desk and paperwork as they had got in quite a fluster.. Going back tomorrow for round two.

    3.Stir fry for tea.

4.Will need to take some flexi leave later this week :)

    5. Looking forward to an early night !

Have a good evening all !

    Evening all.

    1) I had a day off today, so I could have a bit of a lie-in.

    2) Did some more work on my essay, although I'm still not sure if it will be finished in time to meet the deadline. :undecided

    3) Went for a brief walk along the seafront - beautiful, but very chilly around the ears!

    4) Received a letter telling me that my gas meter is going to be replaced and that I need to be at home all day (8am til 8pm) for them to do it - by sheer coincidence I'm on leave that week anyway, so I won't need to book another day off.

    5) Turned some of the LO roast pork from last night into a spicy, vaguely Mexican stew for tonight's dinner, and for lunches at work for the next couple of days.

    Have a nice evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

MHagster, Thinking of you and yours from over the pond.

I haven’t really done much today as spent it preparing and travelling to the interview that, well didn’t go well, no real reason but it just didn’t flow, but I came out to a voice mail saying another job I had applied for 10 days ago now would like to see me and that’s the one I would really like.:o
Hugs to all that need them.

I enjoyed ploughing into a book I had taken with me for a read on the way home.:)
I’m in an really genuinely good mood.:p
Animals running up to me like I had been gone forever!:p
Laughing at trying to make spag bol with remains of food, the only ingredients I have are mince, tomatoes and “a” carrot left, oh and pasta of course! Oh dear.:rotfl:
A bit of a lazy evening ahead.
