Sounds like everyone has had a nice Easter :)

It is so cold here today, went down to 9o (considering we were 30o on Friday)
1.Have got my heating on......have resisted until now, it was just on the news report that it's our coldest day so far this year, so I'm sure we're not the only ones tonight! The pleasure? As well as being warm, the house has lots of heating floor vents (last house had 4 in whole house) and is silent! (last house was so noisy , we would have to turn TV up to hear over it!).
2.Not a good nights sleep , strange dreams but got up & had a bath. (and a howl...the pleasure part was the bath!)
    3.OH slept well.
4.Got to watch Casualty on iplayer at OH's work......I usually have to watch it on YouTube in 15 minute sections that take ages to download. Much better internet connection & a big screen meant Happy Mhagster.
5.Made beans on toast for tea.......obviously all cooked out from my marathon cook yesterday! But they were very tasty!
6.Continuing to get emails & good wishes sent to us. We all appreciate that people are thinking of us, from afar. It is so hard being so far away from friends and family now. Tomorrow OH has MRI & CT scans. Whilst this gives us a more accurate picture of what's happening , it's scary as it might show there's more happening than we would like......so keep your fingers & toes all crossed.

Hope you have a lovely Easter Monday x

Lets hope next Easter we are all rolling them again.

mhagster - I will drink to that xx.
I should imagine that your background as an RGN will no doubt help, as you have the knowledge to question and interpret things far more so than a non medical person.

I am afraid that I can't offer anything clever or useful to say to you at this time - who could?? , but if you want to holler, rant , laugh, cry or to choke a virtual chicken then I will be here for you x x

Just caught up on the lovely posts on here.
Chickenopolis:- Possibly close, we stayed in Stone in Oxney, so just on the outskirts literally of Sussex.:)
We stayed on a lovely farm which was lambing, they were really friendly and it was so wonderful to see the new borns:cool:, it had chickens and was amazing to see them wandering around after them as they collected up the eggs:rotfl:. We had some lovely times and exploring:), but there were a few bad bits, it was stressful with repeated calls from people not respecting we were on holiday, we had a gas leak, a pigeon committed suicide on the windscreen, taking the antenna with it, and someone tried to literally right us off:eek::mad:. Oh and an accident on the way home not for the pleasures board, let’s just say it was nice but glad to be back.

We had some amazing food, as it was a lovely cheap campsite so we did treat ourselves to food.
Walking along the coast every day, I couldn’t agree more the sea just seems to clear the head.
Relaxing, realising I was probably more het up than I had realised before the break.
Booking another weekend away in June, I enjoy plans!
    Good to be back.
About to break into the chocolate minstrels easter egg, no will power.:rotfl:

    Evening all...

What is this "rolling eggs" that I keep reading about? I don't like eggs (chocolate or otherwise) so am I missing out on something good to do with them which doesn't involved eating them???_pale_

I am coming down with the dreaded lurgy... I had some Berroc@ this morning in an effort to stave it off but I don't think it has helped :( . i feel rather exhausted tonight, though that may be as a result of babysitting my year old nephew this afternoon.

    1) Went to look at a house which was lovely... now I just have to convince the owner that her price is far too high so that I can afford it.

    2) Spent the afternoon with my monkey of a nephew. He is a super little boy though we did have a disagreement about nap time... he was convinced he didn't need it and added to that he clearly thought I was the most evil person in the world.... well at least from his cries of protest one might assume that. He was happy enough again once he came down stairs and he realised I was not going to put him down to sleep again... naughty sausage!

    3) My DB's birthday cake was lush (even if I do say so myself) and i think I am going to patent the new technique of switching off the oven as i put the cakes in because they rose beautifully.

    4) Skyped my parents from brother's house as I don't have tinernet at home (I use the work tinernet which doesn't allow skype)

    5) My youngest brother and his girlfriend brought me back a nice little bag from Thailand which was sweet of them. As I have mentioned previously, he is quite difficult to get on with at times and I normally only see him at birthdays or Christmas but he always brings me something back when he goes on trips.... I never do... I am a bad sister.

Righteo.... am shattered and need to fight off this impending cold.

    Nighty night night.

Mhags - thinking of you and you DH tomorrow.
PK - Oh my.... you had an eventful journey home. Glad you made it back in one piece!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

PK - I'm glad you had a mostly nice time, and that you're OK after the accident.

    Mine for today:

    1) A long lie-in this morning - actually considerably longer than intended - it was really cold in my flat this morning so I went back to bed to warm up after feeding the cat and didn't wake up again for another two hours. :o

    2) As the weather's been so miserable I spent some time doing some research for my next OU essay - only one more to go after this. :j

    3) Treated myself to a new pair of earrings, to match a bracelet I got as a freebie (I know that rather counteracts the benefits of the freebie :o) - this time I'll get a free brooch which I think my DM will like.

    4) Made a loaf of potato bread from the latest HB series - it hasn't come out fantastically well but it's nice enough to go on my 'to make again' list.

    5) Worked out how to download programmes from the Sky player as I can't seem to watch stuff directly from the website at the moment.

Have a nice evening, all - I must go and change the towel that's catching the rain that's started leaking through the patio doors.
Back after a very long break!

Ladyhawk - just uploaded my pics of egg rolling but don't know how to link to them. Will have a try... https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10150795047138384&set=a.10150731296768384.459391.670743383&type=1&theater

Here are my 5 for today (Monday).

    1) Bit of a lie in.

    2) McDonalds for lunch.

    3) Went to a soft play area in town with my school friend, 2 friends from Sixth Form College and their children. Feeling a bit flat now I've come home. :-/

    4) Tasty tea.

    5) Not in chronological order but also went to see my brother this morning.

    3) had to laugh when some poor chap switched his puter on in the quiet zone in the library and it beeped at him incessantly. I decided it was telling me to go have another cuppa
    4) got home just as the hail started. Managed to miss the deluge of rain. :D
    5) lish chicken casserole with glass of red wine listening to cfm hof top 4. Beethoven, 2 vaughan williams and now the rach. Bliss. :A

    Good evening all!

Sparrer - the chickens had a little cluck in my ear and told me that they got the pink egg box from T. Eggspress :D Your holiday sounds lovely x

CCP- you can have the rain back now ;)

Ladyhawk - glad to hear that you are taking your Auntie duties seriously . Glad the cake was ok . I hope that you feel better tomorrow .

PK -Gosh - glad to hear that you got back in one piece and have arranged another outing soon in The Caravan of Love :D

    5 for today

    1. Let the hens out at 6am and for the last two days have gone back to bed and slept for a few more hours , which I never do unless I am ill.....I have a raging sore throat which looks like one of those red and white spotted toadstools (according to OH) .

    2. I have been trying not to speak due to the above which made the animals wary :)

3.Watched an old film this afternoon and I wanted to strangle Streisand for begging her man (R. Redford) not to leave her.I would have had the locks changed, personally :D

4.Lovely supper of roast beef and all the trimmings . I ate 4 yorkshire puddings ...in order to soothe my throat of course !

5.About to watch "Silent" Witness - appropriately named today I feel;)

    Good night all!

mhagster -good luck with the scans x
