    Morning

Sparrer - Your holiday sounds fantastic
Old Tractor - I loved that your chickens are laying chocolate eggs for your DGS, it did make me smile
Frith - Ooh haven't done paced eggs for years we always used to roll our eggs on the hill behind where my parents lived with the neighbours children and my nieces.
Mhagster - Glad you managed to find a little bit of peace, hugs to you

Pleasures for the last couple of days
    1. Moonwalk training went quite well on Friday and did 17.5 miles. Walked first 9 with my friend around Windsor Great Park and then she got in the car to drive home and I walked. The temptation to get in the car was great but I resisted. The scary thing is that on the night need to go another 9 to what I did on Friday
    2. Lots of people telling me good look for the walk whilst I was out and a couple of morale boosting calls to my mum when I had a bit of a hurting moment or ten.
    3. Lovely long soak in the bath but did struggle getting out as has seized up a bit.
    4. Fish and chips of dinner, yummy
    5. Took DD shopping to Kingston yesterday as she has had yet another growth spurt. Her legs seem to get longer by the day. Thank goodness for primani.
    6. OH cooked dinner, made chilli nachos which were quite warm to say the least
    7. Spotted the overcharge in Mr.T so had £5.60 put back on my card and had an email to say Asda would have been cheaper on last shop so a £3.60 voucher to use next shop :money:

House is all quite this morning which is lovely just the sounds of the washing machine and the breadmaker going. Am I sad that I find it quite soothing listening to just these noises?

Hugs to all who need them

  • Mt five for yesterday,
    1. Going over the allotment and planting climbing peas. Our wigwams will hopefully look great when they start to grow.
    2. Giving the chicken coop another coat of stain (animal friendly stain)
    3. Nice easy tea of curry and rice.
    4. Taking the dog for a walk.
    5. All of us, including the dog curled up on the sofa watching tv.
Hugs to anyone who needs one.

Happy Easter to you all.....even the European Gallivanters....have some holiday fun.

Okay much tears & snots but for now take that as a given!

1.Had a cooking frenzy, so have made a good start to stock-piling the freezer for the coming weeks.

    2. packed a picnic & off we went to the beach, now it was blooming freezing but we were all wrapped up and had soup out of the flasks. Hardly anyone else there but the odd dog walker, so it was nice just to be us.

3.Home , OH slept (thank goodness) and I got on with quietly making lasagne & roasties for dinner, did the ironing & generally pottered.

4.Kids & I had dinner first & had a good chat about coming weeks/months. We will need to pull together as a team, especially once OH is in having major surgery.

5.OH had his when he woke up & pronounced it to be the tastiest lasagne & then apple sponge he's ever had. :)

6.Phone call to my sister, who went through cancer & treatment 3 years ago. I can be honest with her & not have to put a brave face on things. I am terrified of the future & what will happen. I am a slight control freak, very organised & like to know what is happening. I love to plan ahead....this was never on the agenda. So day by day for next wee while.

7.Skype call with my niece & great niece, her first Easter aged 6 months. She is just gorgeous and it made us all smile to see her.

Enjoy your day. Oh forgot to add, we rolled our eggs ..to strange looks, it is not an Australian custom!

    1) Made a carrot cake to use up some of the ever-increasing mountain of carrots in my veg drawer. (They keep turning up in my veg box and I'm not particularly keen on them as a vegetable. :undecided)

    2) Changed the bed so I've got nice clean sheets for tonight.

    3) Did some tidying up in the garden and found some new shoots on my tarragon plant, which I was sure had died.

    4) NSD

    5) Eating a slice of carrot cake while watching the Germany episode of the latest Hairy Bikers series - I'm definitely trying the potato bread recipe tomorrow.

    6) HM sausage and egg pie for dinner tonight - or it will be when I've made it, anyway.

I hope everyone's had a pleasant Easter Sunday.
Back after a very long break!

Hello everyone, hope you're enjoying Easter.

    My pleasures this weekend are:

    1. A two hour nap today, much needed and appreciated. H kept an eye on kids and dog while I snoozed.

    2. Whilst I am an agnostic with pagan leanings I do find the idea of re-birth rather cool so whilst prepping the veg for dinner I stood and pondered the re-birth of my plants, the trees, the birds building their nests and I look forward to spring starting in earnest :D

    3. Seeing the kids have such fun playing in the garden all day making "inventions" and dens out of the stuff in the garden

    4. Lovely roast dinner

    5. got a head start on the housework, need to start making H's 40th birthday cake this week so I need to be ahead as much as possible

    6. A nice cup of tea just made for me by H :)

Chickenopolis - have you a DAB radio? If so I recommend absolute 80's radio station :D

mhagster - hugs for you, glad you've got someone you can off load to xx
I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife :D Louise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.

    Evening all,

Hope you all had a good Easter Sunday.

Chicken - was it you who mentioned the Electric Dreams ad? I love that song even though it was a touch before my time.

    1) NSD

    2) Very chilled day spent pottering around the flat.

    3) Continued with the knitting project. Think that I have finished 7 squares since I restarted the project.

    4) Made an odd fish pie for supper with some YS pie mix. I added some sweetcorn and carrots to bulk it out and mixed some jerusalem artichoke in with the mash... But this just made it quite sweet. I also normally pile it with cheddar which I decided not to do this time. It was an experiment I won't be repeating.

    5) Chatted on FB with a friend in Melbourne.

    6) Glass of wine

    7) Baking my eldest DB's birthday cake (courgette!) - I got the oven toasty hot to put the cake in and then switched it off! DOH! I have turned to oven on again and am hoping for the best.

    8) Baking some bran muffins

    Night

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Happy Easter everyone !

mhagster - I admire you so much . Doing "normal" things when nothing can really feel "normal" at the moment - keep strong xxx

CCP - thanks for the rain :D

PK - I hope that you are having a great time in the caravan . I think that you may be staying quite near me and hope that you didn't get too wet today .

Bitsy- Thank you x sadly I do not have a Dab radio - you never know though, as it is my birthday soon . Weirdly enough , my niece and nephew who are 15 and 11 respectively said that they loves the advert with the electric dreams song in it - the '80's wasn't all bad then :D

    5 for today

    1. let the hens out at 6am and looked in the nesting box to find a pink egg box full of chocolate eggs and a bag of mini eggs . Clever girls ;)

2.Spent the day with my family.

    3. My brother massaged my back and shoulders which had seized like rock. It was so nice I could have paid him :D

    4. I have eaten so much chocolate that my teeth feel a bit funny. This will put me off eating it for a bit .

5.Looking back the nice peaceful day I have had :) and there is still one more day left before I go back to work :)

Have a good evening all !
