My pleasure so far today
1. Me and the kids had great fun making (and shhhhh eating) some Easter nests
2. Saw the lambs in local fields with their mummies
3. DS just made himself aeroplane wings out of paper and Sellotape all by himself. He calls himself a good inventor :T
4. Sitting, with a cup of tea and cuddles with DD whilst we watch Cars on TV
5. Two lovely walks with Luna our lab puppy, everyone keeps telling me how big she's going to be
VJmum I love the sea and also live in the land locked Midlands, would love to live closer, I am very jealous of those of you who live closer  but I blame it on me being a Pisces :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

OT - how is lbh getting on with Holly ? It's nice to hear that you have found her a little friendIt's funny to think that they are essentially jungle creatures .
Frith - glad to hear that you are saving all of your Easter Eggs for SundayI have eaten at least three since I bought them a few weeks ago
Bitsy - I am not being rude , but your avatar scares the heck out of me - I don't quite know why!
6 for today
1. Had my flaxen locks trimmed this morning . The fringe looks a bit funny at the moment , but will hopefully settle down once I have washed it tomorrow. I paid my hairdresser and had hidden a cream egg under a £10 note - she was really chuffed.
2. Sat in the sun in my Mums garden with all of the hens who had "followed" me over there .They were up the top part of the garden and heard OH pull up in my car and legged it down, saw me sat in the sun and stopped in their tracks . You could almost hear them thinking "oh she's here..... but surely that was her car? "
3. Did a bit of weeding and gave the peas and spinach a good watering. Not with a hose I might add .
4.Two lots of washing dried and put away before 1pm.
5. My lovely giant of a brother came over and we finished my Mums crossword .
6. Having a chinese takeaway tonight , if I can fit it in as I have just eaten a whole pack of gingernuts:D
Have a good evening all:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

:rotfl: chickenopolis would it scare you to knowi have the very same doll at home :rotfl: it's not chucky granted but she is a wee bit unnerving to the uninitiated. I am used to her as I had her from a baby, she's harmless reallyI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Evening all,
MHAGS - hope you and your DH are coping ok. Sounds like you had a peaceful Saturday.
SPARRER - trust you are still having a whale of a time
CHICKEN - I love your posts. You have such a vivid way with words.
1) Exceptionally lazy morning
2) Popped out to H0meb@se to get some compost and also picked up some RTC sweet peas and jasmine. Two of my favourite scents. A nice man helped me get one of the bags of compost into the car. Chivalry is not dead. And there was 15% off.
3) Spent 3 hours gardening. It was very cold but I got all of my berry bushes repotted, and strawbs potted to give away and 40 pansies planted out. One side of the garden is looking very pretty now. I also sowed some salad and veggie seeds in the propagater. I used my water butt for the first time. I can't believe how much water was in it as my brother only installed it 2 weeks ago.
4) Cheese on toast
5) Just got out of a lovely long and very hot bath. Bliss.
Night night
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
here are 5 good friday goods
1 Made rhubarb jam
2 been enjoying "carpool" on you tube
3 bartered some onions, meat and olive oil
4 my mum gave me my dad's 70's swim shorts because they have great pockets for me to make something out of. Wish i could say that i can't believe dad is only just getting rid of them but that is just not true :rotfl: it doesn't surprise me in the least. The really annoying thing is a don't want to cut them up because they are so great.
5 got given a bag of ribbon and exciting shiny junk bits when my friend came round for a chat yesterday.

Have felt a bit better today - tho seem to have crashed now. DS is now all packed for his skiing trip. We have to be up at 4.30 to get him to the coach to the airport.
For today
1. Conversation with DS "If you feel homesick, and you might as you've never been this far or this amount of time away before, then take yourself off and ring us". DS "Yeah, yeah, like that's going to happen". We shall see - hopefully he will be OK. He is narked that we, too, will be in France as he thinks it's so we can check up on him. He is in the French Alps and we are in Paris :rotfl:
2. Yummy HM (well I put the toppings on the base) pizza for tea. Onion, peppers and spinach with goats cheese - yummy
3. More Lark Rise - I am into series 2 now!
4. Being a bit more up and about today - got a few little chores done but thought I should still take it easy.
5. Soak in the bath this morning with some magazines I need to get through.
Off to Paris tomorrow - one of my favouritist cities. What a jetset life I am currently having! WEll it would be jetset except we are taking the Eurostar!Have a good easter weekend all
I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Back again
1. The sun shone most of the day, after a pretty darned chilly start!
2. Really fabulous church service this morning
3. I've got off my backside and done some more tidying (not enough though, I'm so rubbish!!)
4. Lots of YS goodies in the supermarket, we now have enough milk to keep us going for months!
5. Popped over to a friend's to give her some money I owed her and ended up staying for dinner and having a really good laugh with her and some other friends - oh and got a lift back home too (which is great as my stupid leg is complaining tonight!)0 -
I used my water butt for the first time. I can't believe how much water was in it as my brother only installed it 2 weeks ago.L
Thank you Ladyhawk, we're really enjoying Rome
OT how lovely for LBH to have a friend, hope they'll have many clucky times together
DundeeDoll - likewise :rotfl:
Mhags thank you for your lovely post. The sea is very restful, isn't it? We used to sit in the top (4th) floor living room of our residential home in Sussex and watch/listen at night. So beautiful.
1. Went to the Trevi Fountain, not at all what I expected - it's stunning! Threw my 3 coins in and made my wishes, one for our lovely Mhags and her lovely family
2. There are statues of saints on many of the streets, stopped by one and lit a candle, said a wee prayer, which included everyone esp Mhags and family.
3. Scary Roman warriors in the street, with swords. Had photos taken with them
4. Even more scary - took the tube and suddenly found ourselves at street level, in the middle of a main road, with masses of traffic just feet away from us in both directions
5. Chicken in butter and tarragon sauce, creamed spinach, then coconut ice cream in the shell. Wonderful diet! Walked back from the restaurant a short while ago, the moon was big and round and very bright
Sweet dreams
S:)0
