    Good evening all!

Sparrer and Oldtractor thank you for asking after me :D

MIA at the weekend as I seem to be in a bit of a mess catching up with the clocks going forward :o

    some for the weekend

    1. A tan on my arms

    2. Laughed my socks off when a few things had been scanned at Mr. T's and the sub total came to £126. I said "Nahhh thats not right" and I asked the till person to check the receipt- she had scanned some value broccoli and it came through at £64 .48.Not her error - dodgy labelling from Mr. T . I said if it came wrapped in a Ferrari I would consider buying it at that price:rotfl:

3.Hair dyed and it has also has gone really blonde in the sun. I will soon look like a pint of Guine** soon.

    4. Hens happy and being extremely cheeky- one attacked the broom

    5. Peas , beans and courgettes growing

    6.Loads of washing dried

    5 for today

    1. OH starts new job today - woo hoo the bank of Chicken will now be firmly closed :D .Sounds harsh but I have had 10 years ( out of the 12) of this, hobbies before bills carp .

    2.Busy day at work

    3. Dinner of roasted veg, tin of chopped tomatoes and low fat cheese spread cooked and mixed together and served with tagliatelle. I have made OH some garlic bread from a baguette that needs using up .

4.Free pack of seeds from Birds E*e pack offer in post .

5.OH had cleaned the car inside and out and it looks fab .

Have a good evening all !

    1. The sunshine :)

    2. I'm still feeling grotty but managed to get a doctor's appointment this morning and have a medicine to try, fingers crossed it'll sort me out good and proper!

    3. Managed to get the medicine half price by getting it over the counter rather than on the prescription - phew!

    4. YS bagels in the village shop

    5. Had lunch with OH *swoon*

    6. A bathroom chap came over and gave me some good ideas for my new room - also some ideas for the kitchen!

    7. Doctor told me that I shouldn't work this week, so another week off, hopefully my last one as whilst I like being a lady of leisure, I am feeling a bit guilty that my team might be needing my expertise by now (or at least I flipping well hope so!!)

    8. Yummy dinner and there's enough left over for a picnic lunch tomorrow when I go out kitchen hunting at Ikkeeea and BnQueue

Kittikins. Hope the medicine kicks in for you.

I received an unfriendly council tax bill saying because I managed to go back to work before the end of their year they are now entitled to the refund that they had paid me 5 months ago now, and it’s due in the next 2 days! Why am I un surprised, I must be getting cynical me thinks.:o:mad:

    1. Had a very long lay in as I was very late to bed after watching a sky movie.:p
    2. Made a full grilled breakfast as I decided we would be working it off anyway, we have a lot of work to do on the caravan.:o
    3. Hugh amount of work done on the van, it’s not been used since last August, and if we could have afforded a newer 2nd hand van now would be the time but we can’t so doing some repairs from wear and tear and sorting it out, today is deep cleaning, everything out of the van cleaned and then everything back in. Shattered.
    4. I was going to do a nice healthy casserole, but it went to pot with a distinct lack of any ingredients, ops so it’s not so healthy cheats meal of kiev and chips.:)
    5. NPD.
    6. Applied for a couple of jobs.

    Evening all...

Phew - long day at work. Most of it was spent at an enjoyable but fairly pointless training course... But then I had to spend an additional 4 hours trying to play catch up.

I think this explains exactly why I did the following:

I timed my journey to the station perfectly with 3 minutes to spare without running so I could get a fast train home... I settled in with my paper and happened to glance out of the window as the train I meant to be on pulled out of the station... Doh! Nevermind I thought there's a quickish train leaving in a few minutes from the other platform... Which I got to as the doors shut. So instead of getting the train which would have got me to my station in 22 minutes, I am on the slow one that will get me there an hour later!

    1) NSD as we had luncheon vouchers from the course... I spent only half of them and pocketed the rest. They also provided yummy biscuits and fruit for the delegates.

    2) Arranging to have lunch with Mr Dubai and his kids tomorrow

    3) Training course could have been exceptionally dull but wasn't at all

    4) Finishing the Evening standard crossword - and I only had to look up one word

    5) Laughing about being such a twit with the trains instead of getting grumpy.

    Night

    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Evening all :)

Reading through the posts I've only one thing to say - the way everybody here handles things and turns the negatives into positives is amazing :D.

    1. Got up early and finished cleaning the house - if one ever does finish! But it at least looks respectable now and I'm enjoying sitting here looking around at the shiny furniture and picture frame, and the clean carpet. Which won't be clean by morning, of course. Am watching a film, typing this, brushing the dog and going brown at the same time, a serious case of multi-tasking ;)

    2. Postie brought me a full-sized shampoo and conditioner to trial, it's a brand I like so will get a good report

    3. Made luggage tags with the printer and a couple of old name tags left over from my work days, I knew they'd come in handy one day!

    4. Had a chat with a friend who's got herself in a bit of a mess financially and was speaking about bankruptcy. I showed her the site and she was amazed at what she learned in just a few minutes. She said she doesn't feel quite so 'lost' now and has gone home to sign up :)

    5. Used up the last of the fresh food in the fridge, with the exception of eggs which I gave to DNeighbour.

Have a good week and a happy Easter, will try and check in during the week...take care, S :)

hello missed a few days as we had a weekend away in the yorkshire dales lovely.

1 watching youngest son try for the first time and discover how great cream eggs are. His eyes were as big as saucers and said " it's got more sweet inside it !!!"
2 moved biggest sons room round and sorted his massive book collection out and fitted everything back in. his room has never looked tidy but now it looks organised and clean.
3 gave my neighbour a lift to the supermarket as she has been without a car for 3 weeks. She bought me some silicone easter egg moulds as a treat.
4 walking for miles with friends and their families in the sunshine and lovely views.
5 got all the weekend washing done and dried and house back to normal.
