Evening all,
DUNDEE DOLL - loved your present idea for Penny. Very clever!
1) Attended my nephew's 1st birthday lunch. It was lovely to see my brothers and their wives/girlfriend. I haven't seen my youngest DB since Christmas so it was good to catch up.
2) The two birthday cakes I made went down well
3) Lovely sunshine
4) Lots of lovely baby cuddles with both my nephews even though the birthday boy was full of cold... Poor little sausage!
5) Snooze when I got home
6) Skyped with my DM and my DF appeared to say hi too
Night
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
1. NSD
2. NPD
3. Had a very long lie-in this morning, much needed as my cough/cold has got worse and I feel rubbish, but did feel better for lazing around!
4. The sunshine, had lunch outside
5. Got 2 loads of washing done and dried on the line
6. I've finally got round to putting a radio in my bedroom and have spent a lot of the day listening to R4. I don't have a TV in there, which I thought I would miss but the radio more than makes up for itBetter reception here than in my old house as well, yippee!
7. I made a scrummy bottom of the fridge veggies Thai green curry for dinner, using up a 10p tin of coconut milk I bought in MrT's earlier in the week.
8. Nice chats with DD
Annoyingly not much contact with OH; he's feeling ill with this cold now as well but of course being a man (and in reality, being a man with MS, he might have some justification.....) he's got it far 'worse' than I could ever have, flipping man flu, so he's been a bit grumpy on the phone. I tried to be chirpyish when I was feeling like him (or at least I think I did.....)
Keeping my fingers crossed that he'll feel much better by tomorrow so we can finally have some time together this week....0 -

4 an early night
5 home to.orrow. please keep some nice weather for meI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Evening all.
1) A lazy sort of day - I woke up late and spent most of the afternoon finishing off the book I bought the other day.
2) NSD and NPD.
3) Managed to re-inflate one of my car's tyres, which was looking rather flat.
4) Hearing that my DSis and her partner have managed to patch things up, just when it looked like the relationship might be over.
5) A very tasty chicken casserole for dinner, although the dumplings weren't exactly a success. (I didn't realise I'd run out of SR flour, and found out that plain doesn't work.)
Have a nice evening all, and hugs to everyone who's feeling poorly.Back after a very long break!0 -
Skint yet Again pleased to hear your back pain is easing, there are few things more miserable, and debilitating
villagelife some neighbours need training! Similar happened just after I'd moved here, and the gardens are only separated by 3' high chickenwire fencing. I asked him to let me know when he was having a bonfire but he just went inside and closed his door. The following day his DD turned up at my front door with a pot plant and a card which just read 'sorry' with aface. We've become good friends since though
Chicken hope you're okay
1. Pleased the weather forecast was wrong, we've had beautiful sunshine all day
2. Good meeting with friends at lunchtime. Someone brought creamy chocolate biscuits but I resisted them. At first
3. Had to buy a small case as mine is too just too big for hand luggage, fortunately they had one to match my big case and it was £10 off the marked price. Ooh, get me with a set of matching luggage instead of the usual old backpack and 20-year-old frayed holdall!
4. Found a piece of pork loin in the freezer which was delicious gently fried with garlic and a bay leaf, then added green beans a half a jacket. Now I'm still too full from dinner to want any tea
5. All furpets have had a good brush and comb, flea treated and wormed (sorry if tmi), so all are looking smart, for a few hours anyway
Sweet dreams0 -
