5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

Morning everyone,
CHICKEN - I am afraid I am complete pleb when it comes to books. I have really tried to read some classics in recent years but have really trudged through them (Catch22 and Catcher in the Rye). So now I settle for ones which I will enjoy - Thrillers, biographies of interesting people rather than famous people - I enjoyed Nella Lasts War)), the Belle Du Jour series. Currently I am «reading the latest Harlan Coben novel featuring Myron Bollitar (where I got the Man Plans, God Laughs quote). I have read most of the Lee Child and Iain Rankin novels.
1) My meeting finished at 11am so I spent a delightful day in Edinburgh enjoyed the very warm sun and doing a spot of shopping.
2) Got 2 books and 2 lovely birthday cards of 6p at W@terstones using vouchers
3) Bought my nephew's birthday present finally. Its his 1st birthday on Sunday and I was struggling. I found him a Stief bear which is gorgeous. I wish I would have afforded ione of the collectible ones but this one is lovely too.
4) Lovely lunch al fresco with a scottish friend (on expenses)
5) Crawling into bed when I got back at 8pm to read and thoroughly enjoying being in ny own bed.
Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Morning
Pleasures for yesterday,
1. Another day of cycling to and from work, it will get easier but this also means no bus fares so very :money:
2. Cakes at work as someone's birthday
3. Managing to sort out MIL's birthday from the present stash and she being very pleased with them, all bought in the sales
4. Dinner out with the inlaws for MIL birthday and FIL paid.
5. Think I have found some inspiration to decorate my bra for the moonwalk. I am not a sewing person so this could be interesting.
Hugs to all who need them0 -

Happy Birthday MHAGS, what a lovely man your hubby is to go to the English butcher for you
So far today.....
1. I've driven the car today and don't want to chop my leg off, woohoo!!
2. Got free air for the car tyres, as when I stopped at the machine with my 20p, it was still going so managed to do mine gratis
3. I was cheeky in a supermarket and asked a lady for her car park ticket, as I was only popping in to return a pair of sandals, saving me £1
4. Used £3 of M&$ vouchers received for using my M&$ cc to buy some YS Indian ready meals, so next time OH and I fancy a curry, we have one in stock, complete with rice, I paid £1.85 in total for my shopping there
5. Bought a fabulous zebra stripe lunch coolbag, I really hope DD doesn't like it as I think its gorgeous and I want to go on a picnic tea TONIGHT so I can use it!!
6. A friend took DD to school for me
7. Another chum is coming to pick me up for the school run, phew, whilst I don't want to chop my leg off, it is a wee bit sore now......to say the least!
8. DD was snuggled up in bed with me when I woke up, she managed 2 nights in her own bed before needing more huggles....
9. The sunshine
That's brilliant isn't it, 9 pleasures and it's only 2pm0
