    1. NSD.

    2. Felt very grotty with my cough so spent most of the day in bed asleep and feel slightly less grotty now, hopefully even better tomorrow!

    3. The sunshine

    4. The outfit I bought online arrived and as 'hoped', I don't like it, so it'll go back saving me the money

    5. Made scrummy carrot and chickpea soup for dinner and DD provided pud - choccy cake leftover from Rainbows :)

    6. My ankle looks quite normal today and hasn't hurt much, it actually loks for the first time in years, like an ankle than a puffball, maybe having more rest has helped after all.....

5 books to read - the first ones that come into my head

    1. A Harry Potter if you haven't already
    2. I know why the caged bird sings - Maya Angelou - or one of its successors
    3. Birdsong - Sebastian Faulkes
    4. Three Men in a Boat - Jerome K Jerome (has me :rotfl:)
    5. Riders - Jilly Cooper (why not?)

    So for today

    1. Drove to work - singing my head off
    2. FOund the "quick wash" cycle on my new washing machine - a 30 minute wash for things not that heavily soiled. Great for stuff that's been dumped on the floor but isn't especially dirty. Put it in before brekkie hang it out after brekkie.
    4. My last teaching session until the end of April
    5. Unexpected guest for dinner, luckily had plenty to stretch and have had a pleasant evening.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    1. Went to college to get my hair cut. It's more scalped that cut but looking on the bright side it's OS as it won't need doing again for months!

    2. Overheard a lady enquiring about spray tan, which would cost her £18. From what I've seen of them, even done by so-called professionals, I think I'll just use to my nive@ overnight tan before I go away. My neighbour and I call them streakers ;)

    3. Made a slight detour (about 2 miles) on the way home to save 3p/litre off petrol. Have had to fill up twice in a week so found the cheapest filling station thanks to petrolprices

    4. One of the mogs has found a new sleeping place, in the tub that holds the blackberry. Found him wrapped around the stems snoozing away, not OS but I had to laugh, it made me wonder who else was having a siesta this afternoon :D

    5. Garden's looking good, buds on almost everything and blossom is just breaking through on the apple, pear and plum. I'm pleased I didn't go through with my plan of giving away the white lilac last year, it looks as if it's going to be amazing when it blossoms

My suggestions for your list DundeeDoll -

    1. Daughter of China by Meihong Xu and Larry Engelman
    2. A Child called It by Dave Pelzer
    3. Pay it Forward by Catherine Ryan Hyde
    4. The Complete Nonsense of Edward Lear (for something a little lighthearted)
    plus anything by George Eliot

    Sweet dreams :)

Argh - I hated Mill on the Floss! But I guess I hated everything we had to read in english lit class at school. Its a shame really as I was and still am an avid reader.
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.
