Pleasures for the weeked which was lovely
1. Hotel let us check in really early so could enjoy our day without worrying about taking overnight bags about with us all day.
2. Lovely walk from Margate to Broadstairs along the coastal path. Plus DD saw the lighthouse she wanted pictures of for her Art GSCE and it mean't I got my weekend walking done in preperation for the Moonwalk.
3. Stopped for a sandwich in a lovely pub on route
4. Going to the Turner exhibition, which was free :money:. DD managed to get some artist research done so work work towards GSCE done.

5 for today
1.The bane of all chicken keepers .... I saw a fox cub cavorting around in my garden at 4am - it was cute .. I am torn . I made a noise like an angry catout of the bathroom window and it just looked at me .
2. Work was busy yet "bitty", although I got a few things off of my chest in my 1:1 supervision session - plus I have 3.4 hours of leave to take this week
3. Got home and one of the hens had got in to the section of garden that we have fenced off in order to let the grass grow...I saw her burrow under the fence .. cheeky mareMust have been her quad bike ride yesterday
4. Got a free pack of pea seeds coming from an offer on B. Eye frozen peas pack .
5. OH is going to cook carbonara for tea.

Evening all.
Mine for the last couple of days:
Sunday
1) Being grateful that Sky replay each grand prix several times, as it meant I could have a lie-in then watch the race later.
2) After 3 years in my flat I've finally got the hang of changing the clock on the cooker, without the chorus of beeps and muttered rude words which usually accompanies the process.
3) Ordered a much-needed new saute pan for half price in a sale, with a small amount of cash back too. :money:
4) A fine sunny day, which meant I could have the doors and windows open pretty much all day.
5) Pub quiz in the evening - sadly the £100 top prize has been abandoned (not surprisingly - it's a lot of money for a small pub) but it's still a good quiz.
Today:
1) The sunny weather has brought my seeds to life - nearly everything from the first batch I planted has now started germinating, except chillis, which always cause me problems.
2) Got to M&S just as they were going mad with the yellow stickies - I didn't get any penny-type bargains, but I got a few bits I intended to get anyway at a lower price. (I avoided a pack of veggie pakoras reduced from £1.14 to £2 though. Erm...)
3) Received my mini pizza for taste-testing, which means tonight's dinner's sorted.
4) Remembered I had to collect a prescription from my GP before the surgery closed, unlike on Friday.
5) Planning on watching a few more episodes of the BBC programme about Francis Frith tonight - it's a good programme and, not surprisingly, always makes me think of you, Frith.
Have a good evening, all, and welcome back sparrer and mcculloch.Back after a very long break!0 -
1. The sunshine
2. A lovely friend took me to the hospital this morning
3. Had my stitches out and am still not sure how the operation went but think its a case of wait and see, and I'm oh sooo impatient
4. My nasty cough and cold is worse today so the pleasure was DD being perfect and letting me have a nap this afternoon as I only got back from the hospital a short time before she returned from school
5. I got my haircut and I love itJust walked into a salon and the girl was free to sort out my mop, it was just getting me down today.
6. DD and I played a new Un0 type game which was really good fun, one of her birthday presents.
7. Bought some bits for the new bathroom and they'll be delivered on Thursday!
8. Looking forward to a very early night and as the lovely builder has finished, no disturbances during the school day tomorrow (I hope!)0 -

Evening,
What another lovely day
1) I'm on holiday
2) Lie in though Mr Postie woke me up with a knock on the door before 8am. I didn't get out of bed so will have to collect my contact lenses from the post office in the morning.
3) Went to have my Bup@ healthcheck and got a clean bill of health... Though the doctor thought I was a hypochondriac! I have the lungs of. Woman 5 years younger than me (I really should give them back sometime) and have a very low diabetes risk. And they provided a sandwich lunch.
4) A nice man came round to do a loft survey for insulation. He said that if I booked it via MrT then it would be free (rather than £149) so I have rebooked that. If anyone wants the MrT details them please PM me.
5) Afternoon snooze (did you get a nooze CHICKEN?)
6) Glass of wine
7) YS trout and salad for supper
8) Washed one of lounge curtains - the other one will be done tomorrow.
9) I have started knitting again and have completed 1 and a half squres.
10). My daffs have all opened - I have two massive bunches.
Night night
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -

If I can get past the fact that the kids were being a pain in the @$$ today, i will post my 5
1. DS and DD parent consultations went well. DD is on for 8A and 2A* if all goes to plan in the summer. DS had predicted GCSE grades - even though he is only in year 8 and these are based on a test he did at the beginning of year 7. Even so he is a solid C with a good chance of a couple of B's which is fantastic for him, as we thought he was C/D border. more importantly the teachers both said that they are good, well behaved and hard working
2. As the appointments were so early - we were done by 8.30 - I took them to Maccie D's for brekkie. Nice as a treat.
3. Went shopping to Solihull where it all started to go wrong as they couldn't work out a way for both of them to do what they want. They ended up bickering and trading insults leaving one of them (DD) in tears. COuld have knocked their bl00dy heads together. Anyway highlights were Nandos (which they liked, I thought it was OK); resisting buying a dress in Phase 8, being out in the sunshine and not at work.
4. Getting more gardening done when we got back and the washing being line dried.
5. Helping DS with the work he was supposed to have done whilst off today - including composing a new national anthem (we chose the tune of the Archers)I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
1. A lovely nights un-interrupted sleep, first in a long while.
2. Wonderful weather and of course using it to dry rather than electric.
3. Did some virtual online shopping just for ideas and prices for DH’s birthday.
4. 3 loads of washing done and on the line, another 3 to do!
5. A very cheap toad in the hole for dinner using 10p sausages, and the last of the not so fresh veg all used.
6. Watched a daft romcom that wasn’t bad and nice to sit and watch.
7. Remembered the food planning and have food defrosting in the fridge, it’s proper roast port on the menu tomorrow.
8. A slice of approved foods fruit cake, it’s lovely.0
