5 for yesterday (Wednesday)
1) Sons off school poorly who then made a miraculous recovery...
2) House reasonably tidy.
3) Mended the wood burning stove door. It needed some new rope round to make a proper seal when shut. Took an hour to chisel the old stuff out but it is done now.
4) Watched Holby City.
5) Small cat has finally stopped using the litter tray. OH informed me he is now using the new woodchippings in the garden so that's nice! :-/
6) Left over shepherd's pie for tea plus baked potatoes.
7) OH came round. :-)
8) An evening of baking (he has a charity cake sale at work today) so he did 2 posh cakes and I did a date and walnut cake.
9) Watching OH listen to Man City win. :-)0 -
Hello, been a tad cooler here today but stayed dry.
1.I had a good day at work, we were busy but not madly so and I walked out the door at correct time.....felt liberated!
2.Home and sat in my office enjoying the breeze coming through windows.
3.walked up our wee strip of shops, got a new top for work at Salvos, RTC bananas, a roast chicken rtc & dd2's discount, a flick through some glossy mags in library & also reserved one.
4.Was taking chicken to bit when dd2's year head phoned me to catch up on what's been happening. I had written to her last Friday to express my concerns. Had a good chat with her.
5.Had a lovely email from a friend this morning.
6.I am listening to radio 2 on my iPad as I type!
Have a lovely day0 -
mhagster - {{{hugs}}} to you and your DD, hopefully the school are now onto them and the bullying will stop. We went through a bad patch with DS when he was at school with group of boys waiting outside school to beat him up due to incorrect rumours spread around school about my DS. Thankfully the school took my complaint seriously and hauled the boys in front of the head and the behaviour stopped.
Purple kitten good luck for your interview xx

2. Bad news that whole office is reorganising (again!!) and I am losing all of my team members. Good news - I am keeping the same boss who is lovely. Will meet new team members next friday

Evening all from Glorious Edinburgh.
Its been a stunning day.
SKINT - well done on your performance review
1) Lovely, warm and sunny day
2) My presentation to a challenging client. Actually the client is really nice, its his advisor who is challenging but not in a good way. The advisor soon realised I know more than him about my area of expertise and soon got back in his box.
3) NSD as my lunch was paid for and the glass of wine at the airport (in a wine glass!!) Will be put on expenses.
4) Got lots of work done in the peace and quiet of the Scottish office.
5) Had apple pie and custard for pudding with my lunch.
My boss is now being very difficult about my going to Dubai now that he has realised his jolly won't be paid for. We are going to fall out about this I fear!
Have a lovely evening.
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
NSD/NPD, though it was supposed to be but I was a bit lazy, so there is a positive to being lazy.
2. Left over pizza for lunch, something about it re heated in the oven is lovely.
3. Wedding outfit chosen, it’s a demure trousers and CS top find from yesterday get up, sometimes I forget I’m getting a little bit older-ish now!
4. Remembered to post of nephews birthday card and pressie, I am normally late with these things.
5. Dinner is a pleasure as it is easy in the oven chicken veg and oven chips.
6. My 20p flowers are still happy 9 days on.0 -

Yeah tell me about it, I'm a bit heavier than I am happy with at the mo and doing something about it. The dress would be nice and dressey but just wasn't comfortable, would constantly be breathing in :rotfl:It's a mare being a wedding guest, last time I was the bride so well that's just cheating dress wise as it was a corset as well.
