    1. I eventually headed into the local high street not holding out any hope for picking wedding clothes items up, and knowing I’ve left it late but I don’t like clothes shopping.
I should be able to cobble together something for the wedding, I bought a sparkly top and long maxi type dress from the British heart foundation for a tenner total, I have some dressy trousers or if I feel confident the dress but I’m a larger build so I’m not sure.
I did last year see“the dress” in monsoon which was gorgeous, forgiving and bright, but it was far far to much to afford, so it wasn’t that perfect. J, I have been keeping an eye out of ebay but even 2nd hand they are going for £70.
    2. Deep cleaned upstairs from top to bottom, and tidied up.
    3. Just had a call to say the job application I did for the role I really want has got me an interview next week, so so happy.
    4. It’s takeaway night so we are ordering in pizza but have a voucher for ½ price so err sort of mse.
    5. Relaxed, and enjoying feeling I’m doing bits with the day.

    Hi Everyone,

I'm feeling a lot better today - no tears! Though I had to stop myself from calling out his name when I got home this evening.

Busy day - only left the office at 8pm but got loads done and got my emails down to below 100.

    1) A number of people popped by my desk and sent me messages to see how I was doing

    2) Boss said I can go to Dubai!!! Hurrah!!! He has asked me to find out if he can come with me. VJSMUM (I think it was you who asked) - I have been before. I spent a week there last year with a friend who lives out there. I have let him know that I will be darkening his door again and he is excited to see me. I have 3 other friends out there who I hope to catch up with as well.

    3) LSD - 85p for soup for lunch and 50p to pump up my tyre which was flat... Again

    4) Arranged to meet a friend for coffee and another one for lunch next week

    Night night

    L
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    4. DD was in a school music concert this afternoon which was lovely, they were all fantastic and very enthusiastically received by their friends and us parents

    5. I went out for a scrumptious dinner tonight with my work colleagues as the big boss is over from the US, was picked up and dropped off and it was nice to see everyone (oh and eat amazing dinner!)

Ladyhawk, wow congrats on the Dubai work trip, my DH went out there for a work bid many years ago now and it sounds like a truely amazing place, he was bidding to one of sheiks out there and they turned the beach into what sounds like the most amazing red carpet BBQ.

Very tired and headachey after a really busy day - I guess 2 glasses of wine at the pub won't have helped

    For today

    1. Training session went really well - I surprised myself at how much it seemed like I knew what I was talking about
    2. One of the attendees was a guy that I had been a student with - 24 years on! After randomly meeting another fellow student in a shop last week, I am wondering who I will meet next!
    3. OH and i have bought a new washing machine. Not the Bosch I wanted (for £500) but an equivalent hotpoint for £300, my friend swears by hotpoint - she'd better be right. It's being delivered on Friday so we shouldn't have too much of a build up.
4 Nice wine, curry and chat with the girlies
5 DS bought home his target and actual grades. He is already at or above target for everything important. Art, drama and RE leave something to be desired but I'm not too worried about those.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
