Thanks peeps, she seems better still now- we were sitting watching TV and she had been in the other room and suddenly barged into the lounge, demanding fuss! She then demanded to go out to lick some more snow, so I took her out for a 5 min mooch in the garden. She's had some more chicken and is now back on her bed. Relieved isn't the word! xx
  • Here are mine for yesterday, haven't got round too doing much today :D

    1. Had A NSD!!! yey.....Could be doing with a lot more of those at the mo!!
    2. Took stock of the huge amounts of stuff in the freezer.... feel a lot better knowing what's in there now!
    3. Starting to plan meals for next week.
    4. Had a day in the kitchen, made some vegetable soup with all the sad looking veg in fridge, made a lemon curd drizzle cake and then made a meatball pasta bake (with homemade meatballs of course!!!)
    5. Took check of the savings today, have got a goal and told OH that we will be reaching it come hell or high water!!
    6. Generally feeling more organised!!! best pleasure of the day!

Hope your all having a good day :D

    FE
I have enough money to last me the rest of my life......until I go and buy something!

    1. GSD is on the mend, glad to hear it, yippee!! :)

    2. The 3 of us watched the Versailles programme snuggled up in my bed last night, DD loves staying up late, probably more than documentaries, but she did make some intelligent comments, so maybe she was taking in more than I thought

    3. OH decided to leave the rest of his gluten and dairy free lime and coconut loaf cake here wot I made him yesterday - hoorah! One sneaky slice for me, then the rest can go in the freezer. It was so easy to make and lovely to make him a real cake rather than a dry, biscuity cake like the others I've tried from scratch have been!

    4. We made it through the snow and ice to get him home, then took the main roads to church :)

    5. Sitting here with DD watching a Muppets film, wrapped in many layers and with the heating on. It's blooming freezing but I'm not planning on leaving the house til the school run tomorrow!

    6. Today will be a NSD, hoorah.

    7. Planning on doing some more decluttering and packing when I can tear myself away from the Muppets (oh and find the parcel tape....)
  • Millie -popped in to see GSD's progress . Glad to hear that she has perked up xx PS- thank you for the snow dance :):)
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A
  • Ordered some D vitamins
Loving the snow, put water, seeds and bacon fat out for the birds and they are all over the garden
A hot tea and Chinese leftovers
Thinking of making cakes just not got round to it.
    Washing and tidying done.
My stomach is sore, so had a nap, well if you can call falling asleep on the sofa a planned nap.
    Spaghetti carbonara for dinner

    Afternoon

Millie - Glad GSD is picking up and hope she continues to improve
Broomstick - What a horrioble journey so glad you got home safely

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Just made a big pan of butternut squash soup to take to work tomorrow for our new work lunch club - we all bring something and cheaper than going out.
    2. Made OH a chocolate cake for his birthday and added chocolate baileys to the cream for extra flavour = yummy
    3. OH made hot chocolate and put left over marshmallows and baileys cream on the top = very yummy
    4. Being organised for tomorrow and bread just out of breadmaker for OH sandwiches
    5. Looking forward to going out to dinner to night with the inlaws for OH birthday plus will be paid for using Mr T vouchers :money:

Hugs to all who need them

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Afternoon all.

Millie - I'm so glad to hear that GSD is picking up. What a relief that must be!

Kitchenbunny - I rather like your name for your car - I think it's quite clever. :)

Broomstick - I'm glad you made it home from your horrendous journey - I don't think even my love of snow would have survived that!

Kittikins - I've been watching the Earthflight series, too. I particularly liked the last one, about how it was all filmed: I now really fancy having a family of geese of my very own. :)

    1) NSD and NPD.

    2) Got another chunk of essay written, although it's not exactly sparkling, and I've come to the conclusion that it's definitely going to be on the short side as I've pretty much run out of ideas now. :(

    3) Watched the second half a today's rugby match, and very exciting it was too, even to someone who knows next to nothing about the sport.

    4) I've decided I'm going to cancel my Mr T loyalty card in protest at their appalling behaviour in my local store, but thought I'd use my last few vouchers first (erm... looks like my principles only go so far :o). I've ordered some wine off their website, taking advantage of a half-price offer, free delivery, a £10 off voucher, £3.50 in loyalty points, and cashback. Go me! :money:

    5) No pub quiz tonight so I can have a lazy dinner - beef cobbler with veg, followed by apple sponge with cream, and possibly a glass of wine (I shouldn't really on a school night, but I'm very tempted to provide a home for the last, lonely bottle in my wine rack...).

    Have a lovely evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

    1 no spend day
2 went sledging and snow man building with my boys
    3 darned DH dressing gown
4 cut up empty cereal boxes for art projects
5 put away 3 loads of dyed clothes ( which was very exciting as i now have some new looking clothes but without spending any money as the dye had been in the cupboard for a couple of years)

Gads Broomstick - that sounded absolutely hellish! Glad you are back safe and sound now.
Millie - glad GSD seems brighter - hopefully she is on the way to recovery.
Hakeber - hi, welcome to the thread :) I'm on a 'no buying clothes unless absolutely necessary' mission this year so may be reaching for the clothes dye at some point too!

I am most displeased there has not been one snowflake here all weekend. And I am in the north of Scotland! *shakes fist at the sky!* Sigh! So jealous of you all making snowmen and sledging. I have not even had a chance this winter to use my bargain bum sledges that I bought in er, September!

    Yesterday:

    1. Grisly dreich day so sat snuggled up in the living room for most of it

    2. OH brought me nice snacks all day including his very own 'cheese dream' (French toast with cheese :D) and a lovely pasta for tea

    3. Had a dry Saturday - no wine in the house and I couldn't be bothered / justify the 12 mile round trip to go and get some. Not really a pleasure but I felt quite saintly!

    4. Watched 127 Hours. Completely amazing but eeeeeek at the gross bit! And wow, what a test of the human spirit and urge to survive.

    5. Read about the weekend deal Amazon are doing where you trade in 2 books/games and get an additional £5 gift card. So I traded in some of OH's PS2 games that he hasn't touched in....10 years? Result :)
  • Good evening all !

Welcome hakeber- my brother used to call me by my first name backwards , so love your user name ! Well done on the clothe dyeing , my white stuff ends up pink usually anyway ;)

CCP - yum, your supper sounds lovely , just right for today . Good luck with the essay and have a better week at work x

    5 for today

    1. Woke up at 3am and the sky was orange and it was so quiet that I guessed it had snowed .Went back to sleep for my last long lie in as its work again tomorrow :(

    2. The hens refused to come out of their coop all day , having taken one look at the snow. They are afraid of it - they are essentially jungle creatures so I don't blame them. They scoffed warm porridge at lunchtime though (room service, of course) :).

    3. Sending and receiving messages via FB from my neice and nephew who live in various parts of London . Talking about snow mainly.

    4. Had sausages ( mine were veg) , spring onion and cheese mash , with vegetables and onion gravy for tea . YUM:)

    5. Will have to wait and see what the weather is like in the morning as I may work from home if it is too tricky . Still , thats a problem for tomorrow not now, so looking I am forward to an evening of tv on my exercise bike !

Have a good evening all !
