re Birdsong. I can t get on with it at all;find it tedious;boring;annoying and terribly slow. We won't be watching part 2 on iplayer.

Sitting on the fence then? :D:p No, I can see why you would think that because I did kind of think the first part was a bit drawn-out with lots of long pauses and glances, but I thought the 2nd part redeemed itself!

Evening! Popping along to post some pleasures. :) Here goes:

    1. Went shopping and managed to stick to the list (pretty much) and found a bargain on a necessary item!
    2. Got a legstretch at lunchtime.
    3. Have made tea infinitely easier by trying to make an oven baked risotto.
    4. Another no Pop day!
    5. Mr KB being awake before I left for work this morning and getting a cuddle. :)

Whew, Monday out of the way, and it feels like it has flown! I'm pleased to say the migraine hasn't reared it's head today - I'm wondering if it might have been caused by the coffee I had while we were out yesterday morning as I've completely cut out coffee now. Either way, I'm glad it has gone and hasn't plagued me. Touch wood it stays away! I feel all positive because I've started the Grocery Challenge (new leaf and all that) here's hoping I can stick to it. Got a lovely tea tonight to look forward to and I'm hoping for a nice sit down. I don't think we'll be able to go for a walk tonight because of the weather, but it should be a nice relaxing evening nevertheless.

(((hugs))) to those under the weather or poorly, and hope everyone has a lovely evening.

    KB xx

  • Good evening all!

oldtractor -oooh a shiny new hen house - just needs filling now :) Lbh will think she is living in a mansion which she is really compared to her former life , bless her x

    Millie - cheque sent ;)

ninnoodle - I understand the need to bawl your eyes out on your Jack Jones . The secret millionnaire does it for me at the " I have something I need to tell you ... " bit.

sparrer and tealady - it sounds as if you both had a lovely day yesterday.

    5 for today

    1. Hearing the birds twittering away when I let the hens out this morning .

2.Millie you got me thinking about horse charities and "stuff" . I needed to remind myself that I am lucky and I have all I need .This tends to happen when I am on leave , as I have time to just "be" and to consider what is important and what is just bs .

    3. Went out for a drive in the country and to look at a house that I am fond of, as it is like turning the clock back 150 years . It is an old mill with a courtyard and is just lovely.

    4.Superscrimpers is on tonight .

    5. OH is cooking my tea and yelling at me to come and get it!

Have a good evening all !

Evening all - just a quick visit tonight. Hope everyone is OK - hugs to those that need them.

    My pleasures for today:
    1. Another viewing booked for the house for tomorrow.
    2. Chatting with my friend on the phone this morning and arranging to meet at Wetherspoons tomorrow.
    3. Blowing the cobwebs off and going for a walk this afternoon, cold as it is right now. It was great seeing the dogs having fun and chasing balls.
    4. Doing my weights and abs workout, along with my typing and Spanish practice. Am I the only one who finds touch typing incredibly difficult? I've been practising so hard and yet I'm still so slow and inaccurate.
    5. A NSD and a NPD.
    6. Yummy spicy beanburger tonight. Homemade, of course!
    7. Working hard on my novel today. Won't be long before I can send it to some beta readers for comments/criticism. Scary!
    8. Lots of cuddles with Fudge today, although I'm not so daft to think it's because she loves me so much - I suspect it has more to do with wanting a warm lap to sit on...
    9. Browsing around the shops and enjoying coming in from the cold (ooh, I sound like a glamorous spy...) into the warmth.
    10. Having a far more productive day than I've been accustomed to lately. I've been a bit slack, to put it mildly!

Enjoy the rest of your evening, everyone.

Hello all, some good news to kick off the week

    1. Vets rang to say that Saffy's paw is not cancerous but it does have to be operated on as there is some kind of 'foreign' body in there reducing it down further with anti biotics then they will operate :T

    2. Had a drive through a really nice village on the way back from the butchers this morning - it gave me a little 'lift'.

    3. The sun shone this afternoon and that makes me feel good

    4. Watched two Robins taking it in turns feasting on the fat balls in the garden :)

    5. Had some big cuddles with both of the dogs tonight.
Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money :D

Chicken - you are lovely :D If you want to know more about the work of the charity, they have a facebook page and Elaine regularly writes on the blog. I am hoping to pop down soon and see them and take a couple of rugs and some feed :D

    Mine for today:

    1. Sent OH off to work with homemade soup and fruit for lunch...his healthy eating was going well until he came home and raided the Quality Street!
    2. Made a new design necklace last night and my guinea pig agreed earlier to road test it for me - I think my mojo might be creeping back- yay!
    3. Picked up some bargains from Home Bargains, including some suet pellets that the birds seem to love. I also got some more veg to make some more yummy soup!
    4. Whipped oldie's rug off for 20 mins while she had a good roll and cavort around- I watched her with a huge mug of hot ribena
    5. Superscrimpers tonight. OH is muttering about it already- he thinks they are mostly a bit bonkers!
    6. Finding out that a family member had successful (major) surgery today :)

Hugs to anyone in need xx
  • In meetings all day just observing at the mo.
I need to get organised as not near shops so need to take food and drink.
Coming home to lovely greeting from DH who missed me
Came home to lovely meal made by OH
Looking forward to the thifty programme on later

My first day went absolutely fine, I’ve got that odd point where I am trying to work out if to train or drive, both distances are the same hour each way, train is cab rides thou, so I’m driving in tomorrow.

    Evening all.

Just a quick post from me tonight as I'm very sleepy - I had one of those horrible nights last night where I couldn't stay asleep for more than about an hour at a time. :(

    1) NPD as I got the bus to work.

    2) Got 10p off the bus fare as the driver decided he'd rather have change than a note even if it was a bit less than I should have paid.

    3) Managed to get some preparatory work for tomorrow's training course done at work, so I didn't have to do it at home this evening.

    4) Used up LO braised lentils from Saturday in tonight's dinner, rather than having something else to put in the freezer I'm desperately trying to empty.

    5) The prospect of an early night tonight, with a hot water bottle as it's rather chilly this evening.

    Have a nice evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

Evening all - chilly isn't it.

    For today

    1. DD had a great 6th form interview at the boys grammar school (mixed 6th form), she enjoyed it and came out positive
    2. Took her for coffee to talk it out before she went back to school. I think it is important to put it all in perspective and she wouldn't have been able to concentrate if she hadn't.
    3. Made a yummy potato bake for tea to go with fish - and sliced potatoes with new magimix
    4. DS got another 6c in maths - I think he is much more secure in it now and has gone up 4 sub levels in 6 months (average is 2 per year) thanks to extra lessons
    5. Made MIL's 80th birthday cake with 2x sainsburys christmas cake mixes bought reduced for £2 each.

Just can't get my head round the cold - really hope it isn't for a month.:(
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Glad your first day was good Purplekitten.

Feeling any better yet Frith? Hope so x

    1. Yet another........no spend day :) This must be a record for me!!

    2. DD was invited to a chum's for tea and I also got invited out to another friend's for tea and vino, so the leftovers we were going to eat today will do for tomorrow!

    3. Good natter with my friend and then DD's chum's mum (who is also one of my best friends) when she brought DD back for me, lovely girlies

    4. Lovely texts with OH but he's now in London staying with friends so I probably won't hear from him much til he returns tomorrow night.

    5. I've been invited to a secret surprise birthday party in March for a lovely friend :)

    6. Some Guiding training I thought I'd had to miss because of babysitting problems has been rescheduled to a date I can make during half term, hoorah! I do like these little training evenings, always good to get new ideas for the timetable.

    7. Good day at work

    8. Spoke to my estate agent who has been battling for me - and my buyers are going to have to send around someone to double-check the doom and gloom surveyor's problems with my house and hopefully this specialist will not find (too many) problems!

    9. I'm currently sitting on DD's sofa with her slanket draped over me, I do love being cosy and DD's in bed so can't tell me off for sitting on her sofa!! :)
