Oh, the OS Pleasures Girls, sounds awesome! Would that it could happen :D

Millie I'm not sure but think ampersand is at a sale? Or investigating one? Don't quote me though. DD and I used to share a net of carrots, we took the best for ourselves and the animules had the rest. Apparently they were only cheaper because people wanted regular size & shape. Fussy eaters!
Ladyhawk (((hugs))) get well now. Poor you, really hope you get a good night's sleep and feel better in the morning
CCP must be something about DF's. When I drank mine used to make a cracking G&T, and I never liked gin. Unless he made them!

    1. Picked DGD2 up and had coffee with the family

    2. We went to some cs's, I found the perfect red jacket for tomorrow, bnwt for £6.99

    3. Had a pub lunch, 2 meals and drinks for £10, and much more than I could eat. I really shouldn't have had that blueberry cheesecake... :o

    4. Took back the red jacket I bought for £20 yesterday and got a refund. So todays jacket plus lunch left me £3 in credit :D

    5. An evening watching Planet Earth before a girlie time having our showers and getting ready for tomorrow.

    Sweet dreams
    S :)

Tee hee love the name idea

    1. Had a lovely day wandering around the flea markets and lanes of Brighton. Bought a 50p 1st ed childrens book I have a thing for originals.
Very sad that the market we went to go to is completely shut down now, the cafes we knew of from the past had all disappeared and all of the shop owners were whinging about how bad everything is, yet ironically according to a news article apparently the recession ended 3 years ago! what a load of tosh.
    2. We bought some half price fabric to make our own pet bedding.
    3. Enjoyed people watching with DH.
    4. Treated ourselves to a Chinese Takeaway for the first time in 6 months, it was lovely and left over’s for tomorrow.
    5. Text from new boss to confirm Monday.
    6. Bought a book of Amazon for a penny, plus a little postage.
    7. Smiling and feeling genuinely happy!
SSent an email about an item on Friday Ad DH would love but not heard back yet.

    Hugs to any in need.

    Five pleasures for Saturday:

    1. Getting cupboards and paperwork sorted and cleared. Sitting room still looks the worse for wear but when this job is finished it will be fabulous. I'm freeing up shelves, kitchen cupboards, you name it!

    2. Discovering lots of old art materials in the tidying and was pleasantly surprised that quite a lot of them are still usable. :D

    3. Got a couple of lots of washing done and 3/4 line dried.

    4. Made myself a big bowl of miso and veg soup for lunch - v. tasty.

    5. Good chat at lunchtime on the phone with a friend.

    Sleep well

yet ironically according to a news article apparently the recession ended 3 years ago! what a load of tosh..

I hate to be a pedant... But the term "recession" is a very specific economic term which means that the economy has shrunk for 2 consecutive quarters. Over the past 3 or so years the economy has grown ever so slightly or been stagnant. Therefore the recession did indeed end several years ago. What we are experiencing now is the after effects of the recession rather than the recession itself. The bad news is that the economy is forecast to shrink this quarter ever so slightly so it is highly likely that we are about to slide back into recession.

Maybe the OS Pleasure Girls will help us avoid the effects of the economic downturn? ;)
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.
  • CCP - ((hugs)) - really hope your evening is better. Some days are just like that!

    Yesterday's:

    1. Watching my kitten munch a youknowwhatbeginningwithS, after lots of encouragement from me! It was in my office and gave me a right fright, so was extremely relieved when she pounced on it. She got loads of cuddles and treats for such good behaviour :D

    2. Postie arrived with several goodies I got from this site: freebie toothpaste, a great deal I got on a cycling t shirt, water bottle and gels bundle, and some B vitamins for 25p! :money:

    3. M&S £10 meal deal for tea tonight

    4. Friday!!! Glad to be feeling better (albeit still rough) and it to finally be the end of the week.

    5. Nice relaxing night reading and quaffing red wine :)
  • (sorry for rubbish typing, on iPad in bed and it keeps autocorrecting everything. Hay becomes gay for eg. Which is awkward when I am talking to my gay horsey friend)

Chicken- I looooove the good life. Can watch it over and over and over and still giggle! OH has the league of gentlemen on DVD, must delve in. "local shop..." is one of his fave sayings when we see anything remotely local and a little bit inbred- And we both giggle like naughty children..small things!

Oldtractor- I am thrilled and amazed that you have heard of EMW- amazed because they are such a small charity and they don't get much recognition or much in the way of publicity, yet they do such amazing work and Elaine works so tirelessly to promote equine welfare and keep the sanctuary ticking over. Possibly 4 sold now, which is £40 towards some feed for them

pleasure girls :rotfl: in OH's dreams :rotfl:

Sparrer- thanks for letting us know :) Ampersand- hope the sale is going well xx

just had an hour of bunny cuddles with mum. Bunny managed not to wee on mum- good Ruby! Have big bed to myself, so going to adopt starfish position and sleeeeep. Night all xx

Evening all not been in for a while been busy with work and dogs!

Five checking in for today are:-

    1. Scouring through the freezer this morning and made a meal out of allot of left overs for tonights dinner - neck of lamb casserole with new potatoes (left over in packets in the veg basket and perfectly fine) and green beans.

    2. Getting two loads of washing nearly dryish without having to resort to the tumble dryer.

    3. Grooming one of my horses - the biggest one - and while I was grooming him he was sort of muzzling/grooming my back at the same time it's a funny thing they do but if you have horses and do this you will understand anyway it was priceless.

    4. Looking forward to getting into a nice clean bed.

    5. Watching the birds have a feeding session on the peanut/fat ball holders.
Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money :D

oh, yet another day in Hotsville....one more hot day to go then a cooler few days....I am holding on for the cooler ones (mid 20's rather than mid 30's).

1.Have been a busy person all day, washing & ironing, cleaning bathrooms, washing floors, tidying (& the supervising of) bedrooms. Everything now where it should be so I'm rather pleased with myself.

    2.Loads for charity shop.

3.Have made a chilli for tonight & should be plenty left for the freezer.

4.I bought lisianthus flowers yesterday (RTC) in a gorgeous dusky pink colour, they look lovely in my dining room.

5.Have enjoyed the relative peace & quiet today, OH at work (to get peace to study!) and noisiest child (DD2 ) has been out at a friends all afternoon....is now back & peace & quiet has gone!

    So NSD no1.....enjoy your Sunday.
