Chicken - google "irregular choice" They are fab! Very pretty, but not very practical for mucking out, so I don't own any0
-
ps Chicken - what are you going to do with your time off? xx0

Hi all - busy, busy times so before I dash off to collect DD here's mine for today
1. Walked to train again - another 6 weightwatchers points earned
2. Nightmare invigilation but it made the time go quick and burnt off more calories. I also amused myself at one point by noticing a student in his espadrills (In january!!) and then noticed 3 of them were wearing said footwear - bizarre!
3. Yummy hummus wrap for lunch
4. OH was on my train home so we walked came back home together.
5. True freezer surprise for tea - after a look a sniff and a prod, I still didn't know what it was. Once defrosted it turned out to be chicken and mushroom pie filling that had to be eaten as a casserole.
Enjoy the rest of your evening - I have to go be a taxi.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Not too sure - days out I guess !, Racing next week and Pizza Exp.(Mr. T vouchers) . OH wants to go out walking in the woods and take a "winter picnic" -( a flask of soup), day at an auction, maybe a bit of decorating , maybe see our friend in Spain . I can tell that you have nodded off already.........
Thanks for asking x
eta - deffo NOT mucking out shoes . Some look like Bette Midlers shoes in Hocuspocus (sp?):AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
will try for 3rd attempt of Thursday's pleasures.....twice yesterday it told me my session had timed out, never had that before:
1.Nice & sunny but a nice sunny not a too hot one!
2.Very punctually left work on time....no extra hours wanted today.
3.Phone call with my mum.
4.corned beef hash for tea, using up RTC spuds.
5.Wee snooze when I came in from work.0 -
PK, hope the second interview went well.
My five pleasures for Thursday:
1. I've reached my first target of 16 NSDs in January already so am going to try for another five.:T
2. Started to tidy my tip of a bedroom. It won't take long because it's tiny.
3. Last night's pasta bake for lunch. It was surprisingly nice cold!
4. Starting to see a pattern emerging and ideas surfacing in the latest piece of writing I've just begun to work on.
5. Tidying up a bucket load of paperwork. Still lots to do but I'll get there.
Sleep well

Sorry I'm Late!!!!
After all of your positive thinking and crossed bits and pieces we can hopefully uncross them, after 2 and a half hours of talking with a softly spoken Scottish gent, I got the job
... do you know how good it feels to write this.:T
I have been bouncing about, and to be fair I have had offers fall through, but I double checked this one it’s no we definitely want you to step in.
So pleasures 1 – 5 I HAVE A JOB,:j:j:p well I have an offer of a job I have accepted to here’s fingers crossed it all goes through!!!!!!!
Con: The new role is close ish to an outlet centre which could mean a whole load of will power as we went around it today and my will power ebbed away as I handed over £5 for a full size Christmas Yankee candle that I err “need” well the pets need!
Wow talk about an emotional roller coaster of a week.0 -
Many many congratations PK! Such amazingly wonderful news!
Busy busy day... Am pooped after leaving home before 6.30 this morning.
Chicken - yes today was the no garlic day. All in vain I fear and the silly goose is being weird! We both ended up working late tonight (coincidence?) and I went over to chat to him as I was leaving. He could barely look at me. Oh well. You win some, you lose some. And there is no point in crying over something that never was.
1) NSD - free brekkie at work as our new CEO started today. Free lunch at a meeting I went to (was pretty yuck though)
2) Lost 3kg since NYE
3) Great meeting with HR today and I think I am going to get some great support from them in terms of career progression
4) Read my book on the train
5) Free cheese sample from one of my meetings
Night night

Ps the boss was back to being an !!!! today. He had a right go at me for the wording of a press release which I hadn't written!Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Well done, Purple Kitten!
Here are my 5 for today (Thursday).
1) Getting up in plenty of time, boys to school almost early.
2) Went to Cafe Nero's with an old college friend.
3) Popped to Sainsburys.
4) Spent about 2 hours looking at Autotrader and the local newspapers on the internet, desparately trying to find a car. Finally found one about 20 miles away (nothing nearer) so tomorrow will be picking up a Renault Megane Scenic! It is a T reg so the newest car I have ever owned. I went after school and the boys came with me and were most excited. Things it has that my 20 year old Fiesta doesn't - a radio, power steering, a boot that opens (never got mine open in the 3 years I've had it!), a driver's door you can open from the OUTSIDE, central locking, electric windows, electric sunroof... It seems so spacious as well. :-)
5) Stopped for chips on the way home.
6) New car means I can go and see OH this weekend. :-) The final nail in the coffin of old car was when I snapped the back wheel bearing coming back from his house on the M42.
7) Pretty much up to date with housework and washing.
Not a bad day!0 -
I love reading all the posts on here.
