ninnoodle thanks for 'seeing' it, it was definitely a moment for sharing and I'm pleased I could 'show' you what it was like
Broomstick thank you, I'm really please we shared it. One of those times you couldn't photograph or paint its glory, and impossible to describe (although ninnoodle has a good eye for seeing past my poor description). There are quite a few well-known places people visit to see the sunrises - Ayres Rock, the Grand Canyon, Kerala, India - but this was really special so let's keep it to ourselves. Don't want to attract hoards of tourists to the Berks/Oxon border :rotfl:

I love the Berks/Oxon border, grew up on it0

Feeling lousy and saddened
, our cat of 14 years has passed away very suddenly. I know it’s part and parcel of having animals in our lives but it just seems to get harder and harder. Her partner in crime is coping ok we are fussing him and he’s got a lovely heated bed. I’m feeling winded / punched thou.:(
1. Gorgeous husband is being amazing on top of being overly thoughtful, he produced a Popping Candy chocolate orange with yellow sticker on it that we proceeded to demolish.
2. I have a week full of interviews, I am seriously hoping for some success this week! I had a phone interview today which leads to a face to face later this week, and 2 interviews tomorrow, I will keep you posted, and thanks again for all of the kind good thoughts.:)
3. Cleaned upstairs hovered, changed all the bedding, washed towels etc, a pleasure to get around to doing it.:)
4. Feeling organised with meal plans this week, if we stick to them or not thou we will see.0 -
Oh no purplekitten ,I am so sorry xx You love your critters to bits x ((hugs)) to you
tealady - well done on your vouchery day x
6 for today
1. The sky being very "Turner-esque" on my journey to work early this morning.
2. I have provisionally booked another week and a half of annual leave in Feb.:)
3.OH requesting me as his "friend" on FBook . Fool. I am not going to bother.
4. Offered to pick up and go through some paperwork to save one of my Providers the trouble of dropping it in to my office or posting it , as I am out on site visits on Weds and Thurs all day and then will be on leave for two weeks. It was on my way home , so it made a nice change to get out of the office at 3pm and to seek assurances that they had done all they were required to do. .
5.OH had done a load of washing which had dried on the line and was all lovely and fresh , when I got it in.
6. Curry for tea.
Hugs to all who need them x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Purple Kitten - sorry to hear about your cat. I hope she wasn't ill for long.
Chickenopolis - why don't you want to be your OH's FB friend? Just wondering!
Pleasures so far:
1) Not a bad night's sleep.
2) Boys off to school quite happily.
3) Mum gave me a lift to Sainsburys then I went with her to look at new washing machines (for her).
4) Did 2 loads of mum's washing.
5) Went for a walk in the sunset.
6) Got all the stuff together and I will paint my bedroom tomorrow. Really looking forward to it!0 -
We had her checked out a few weeks ago a usual MOT and was told she was just a bit old now, but didn't seem ill, just passed peacefully.0

PK - sorry about your kitty. I was heart broken when I lost my boy 18 months ago. Yes, they are little bundles of fur, but they are our little bundles of fur and we love them. They somehow manage to leave large paw prints on our hearts.Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0

frith- No problem -It would just feel "wrong" - I am not that interested in his or his cronies twitterings about scuba diving (sorry Ladyhawk- I know that you like diving) . I use it purely to keep in touch with my neices and nephews . I must admit that once he peed me off so much that I changed his profiles . I said that his favourite band was "Jedward" , fave .tv programmes "Ceebeebies" , hobbies include "lying " ..you get the picture...:o His FB friends went frantic , because he does not have much of a sense of humour and there is no way that he would have posted anything like this.Bless him x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
PK, (((((hugs))))).
Sparrer, absolutely right - we must keep these secrets to ourselves. I really enjoy driving through that bit of the world even when there's no spectacular sky to look at.
Five pleasures for today:
1. Beautiful frosty garden when I woke up.
2. Got my new bank account bumph in the post - the one I'm going to use for internet book selling.
3. Eggy cheesy potato bake for supper - cooking right now. It will do for tomorrow's packed lunches as well.
4. Realised that I have a spare 6 eggs, four lemons and an extra packet of butter in the fridge and sugar in the cupboard so I think that calls for lemon curd.
5. Yet another NSD. :T
Have good evenings everyone,
B x0 -
Evening Ladies,
Chicken - I know diving would be utterly dull if you were not interested in it. In fact most hobbies are dull if they are not your particular hobby!
Grrr... Really annoying evening. My train was delayed by an hour which meant I was 10 minutes late for my doctor appointment. The doctor then refused to see me! I even called 45 minutes before my appt to let them know so now I can't get another appt until the 31st. He wouldn't even let me wait to see if anyone else didn't turn up. Hurrumph!
Latest update on the Aussie boy - we ran into each other in the corridor this afternoon. I was having a discussion with another colleague so we both just muttered hi... And avoided eye contact. Oh well.
So am going to find some pleasures for today:
1) Boss was a bit better today. He is still a ****er though.
2) I had a photo shoot this afternoon which went well. If you see any photos in the press in the next few days of people in chefs hats then the woman in the photo is probably me.
3) NSD - had a yummy smoked salmon bagel at the photoshoot
4) Had a chat with a nice colleague over lunch - I was having water as I wasn't hungry at that stage
5) My car was particularly pretty this morning. The frost was very thick and was sparkling like diamonds under the street lamp
Night all
