  • Thanks, I am ridicilously tearful at the moment, we have talked and talked and I think we need a day or two to think as well and clear the head, with it being Bank Holiday New Years that gives us a chance to think things through as to what we do.

At the moment, all the things we talk over go round in circles. Sleep and getting making the first steps to getting advice tomorrow may help. Life would be boring if it wasn't challenging - I guess.

    Evening

Purplekitten - Hugs to you and hope you manage to get some good advice tomorrow
Frith - Please remember how far you and your boys have come do not let your ex take you down so are far to good for that.

    Pleasures for today;
    1. Very lazy day and have not stepped outside the front door ;)
    2. Downloaded loads of books from amazon some free and some very cheap. The ones that needed to be paid for I used an amazon voucher that was a christmas present and still have quite a bit of credit left on it.
    3. Read a really interesting book on Broadmoor in Victorian times, strange subject but very interesting
    4. Using the RTC cooked chicken I bought yesterday for another two meals. Chicken and bacon baguette for lunch and then HM chicken fried rice with curry sauce for dinner.
    5. Enjoying some naughty but nice christmas chocolates

Hugs to all who need them

Oh crikey, PK, Frith... and anyone else having an extra tough time... I'm sending (((hugs))), strength and bucket loads of good luck.

 I forgot to say hello to the new people who've been posting over the last couple of weeks.

    My five pleasures for Thursday:

    1. The arrival of 'worm mansion'. I am looking forward to getting it started but am glad that I decided to wait for the worms! It will be a fun project for the spring. It also makes me feel quite enthusiastic again about getting all the container gardening going.

    2. Getting the meal plans done at last.

    3. Doing a top up shop at Mr S (for under £20 to last another week) and buying a new saucepan to match several others I have at half-price in the sale. The others are lovely to use and are wearing well so I think this was a sensible purchase.

    4. Laughing with DSs on and off about all sorts of silly things today.

    5. Still enjoying munching my way through the clementines. So scrummy.

Am going to try to get to bed earlier tonight.

    Sweet dreams

  • Ninnoodle - so glad your kitties are safe and well fed at last.

Yay! for Kittikins feeling better at last.

Hugs for Purple Kitten - Rainy-Days is right; get some advice, after you've had some time to think things through a little.

Let's see what pleasures I can come up with for today:

    1. Having fun in the kitchen making loads of yummy pate. Made enough for lunches for a few days and there's loads gone in the freezer too.

    2. Enjoying some red wine in the evening.

    3. My friend coming to visit after work for a chat.

    4. Finding out our plans for New Year's Eve have been revamped, so it'll be a much cheaper night out. My budget says thanks!

    5. My dry-cleaning costing less than I thought it would, due to one coat being put through as a jacket.

    6. Editing another chapter of my novel. Just one more to do for this particular round of editing.

    7. Tinker Puss's new mummy coming round and telling me Puss felt sufficiently at home this morning to wake her new daddy by nibbling his nose.

    8. Setting goals and to-do's for 2012 - I'm one of life's planners and as 2012 will see a lot of change for me, I'm being as organised as I can. I love doing all that sort of stuff anyway.

    9. A guilty pleasure - deciding not to do the exercise I planned for this morning, but spending extra time in bed.

    10. Getting started on reading the last of the novels I got from the library.

    Night all, sleep well. x
Life is not a dress rehearsal.
  • Evening all,

Hugs to those who needs them, especially PK and Frith x x x

    My 5/6 for today:

    1. Not having to wake up to an alarm clock that is set ridiculously early followed by a slow breakfast and getting ready
    2. Doc saying my son 'only' has virus and nothing more sinister
    3. Said son getting back to his normal self, even if only for a couple of hours whilst medicine kicked in
    4. DD being a true little trooper today and helping me tidy up and actually doing a really good job - she is only 4 :)
    5. Spending some quality time with DD, just the 2 of us, when DS was in bed sleeping himself better.
    6. Going for a run when every sane part of me said exercise is evil!

Night all - hope a peaceful night is had throughout. xxx
    Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)

    Loan 1 £1787
    Loan 2 £1683
    Total £8601 Was £39302
  • Hello!

PK sorry to hear of your difficulties. It might be a good idea to contact your local council's homelessness dept. They may have access to grants for mortgage rescue or they might be able to refer you to a local housing association who can help with shared ownership options to tide you over.

    Here's mine anyway

    1. Continuing the Downtown marathon....
    2. A really good chat with my friend in her new house.
    3. Very tasty cheese on toast for lunch with bread made by the new Kenwood!!!!
    4. Warmth, a comfy chair, sleepy dogs and a cup of tea.
    5. I have a warm bed waiting for me upstairs with my good book.

    xx
    £2 savers club no.107 :j £36 so far.
  • Frith - hugs to you and hope you are feeling better now.
PK - so sorry this has happened, and fingers crossed for some sound advice tomorrow.

    1. Had nice muddy run in the forest today which cleared my head. Have had a very bleak, out of sorts day.

    2. NSD (I think - I tried my hardest to buy stuff online in the '70% off' sales, but just not interested in anything)

    3. Apart from the run, had a nice relaxing day on the sofa, watching tv, reading and surfing

    4. Cleared the air with my OH about some things. We are on pretty rocky ground at the moment.

    5. Cuddles with my cats

(((Big Hugs))) PK, wish I could offer you some positive advice but it's all been said already, as Rainy-days said CAB is a good idea as a first step. No point in saying don't worry because of course you will, but all I can suggest is you keep everything you are told, by everyone concerned, on paper so have a constant written record. If necessary make photocopies but never let originals out of your possession.

Frith as others have said your ex is being a complete @rse and has absolutely no right to lead your son the way he has. He obviously doesn't realise what problems he causing himself, what he did is evil and I'd be wanting to take him to task over it.

Welcome miss-emmajane. As you'll have seen this is a super place, we're one big family who looks out for and supports each other through the bad as well as the good. Pleased to have you join us :)

Skintmum thank you for the recipe, sounds very yum. I'll have to try it when I have visitors or my diet will be completely sabotaged!

    1. Got up to see to the animals then went back to bed til midday :o

    2. 3 invitations via text, to supper with friends tomorrow evening, a New Years Eve do (the second one I've been invited to) and a friend's birthday party on 22nd. Lovely to be thought of but doesn't augur well for my next weight loss challenge!

    3. For the first time in 3 weeks there's nothing on the kitchen table except the cloth and bowl of fruit. All the odds of decorations, wrapping paper, gift tags, tape, ribbons, scissors etc etc have been put away for another year :D. Somehow I have 14 rolls of wrapping paper all bought cheaply after Christmases, yet didn't buy any this year. I shan't be buying any next year either, or the next, or the next.....!!

    4. Have already got a box full for my first car boot sale of 2012, I was given lots of lovely things to match my kitchen so the old but still working bits are packed up ready to be sold

    5. DS phoned to ask what I'd like for a New Year present, so a gardeing voucher will soon be on its way :). Can't do anything out there at the moment but making lots of plans

    Sweet dreams
    S :)

Purple Kitten Sorry to hear about your worrying letter. It's not something I know very much about but I'm sure there will be plenty of advice available, here and elsewhere. The only thing I do know is that a friend of mine got very close to her court date (hadn't managed to pay for 3 months due to her partner being unemployed) and was able to pay something off and get court cancelled, I think 2 days before the event.
