    Evening,

    1) Good day to today. Picked up a colleague at 9am (she's hurt her leg) so nice easy morning
    2) Good atmosphere in the office and a good meeting with one of the directors
    3) Took back some clothes to Next so "made" £50.
    4) Spent the entire day applying for an exciting new job. I have to write 7000 words on why I should be considered for it. I have asked a friend to read over what I have written to make sure it makes sense. Fingers crossed!
    5) Left the office at 4.30pm
    6) Made some tablet (mse os recipe)
    7) Planning with a colleague how we are going to stage a coup in the office and get rid of the sycophantic and incompetent people.

    Night all.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.
  • Good evening all !

sparrer- re the coat hangers . It was so difficult for me not to roar with laughter at the sight of them ! My sister who brought them would have been offended that I was laughing at her gift . A zipped up mouth Chickenopolis is a rare thing !

    5) Brother came round to play on the Wii.

    6) Quite a lot of social type events planned so lots of texts flying around.

    Mine for today

    1. Lie in til 8am, woke up at 3am again, see a pattern forming here? Hopefully the mountain air will sort me out
    2. Caught up with some house stuff and random jobs pre holiday
    3. Leftovers for lunch
    4. NSD
    5. Finalised animal cover for when I'm away- thank goodness for Mrs ponycarer and parents :)
    6. Walk around the fields with mum, GSD and oldie in the sunshine, then I let oldie loose in the big field for a graze. Ponio then refused to come in, so I left her to it and sat in the sunshine with mum, drinking tea (ok we had about 3 layers on, but it is December)

We are heading down to London in the morning, flying out to France v v early Friday! We have wifi in the chalet, so I will pop in and say hi.

In the meantime, hugs to anyone in need and if I don't pop in beforehand, a very happy and OS New Year to all xx
  • LadyHawk: Good luck on the job app.
Chickenopolis:- Tee hee loving the coat hangers. He he.

A wonderful day after an awful nights sleep, really bad stomach cramps.

We decided to blow some cobwebs out and visit a place on a map that looked dis-used on some marshes. It was nice to be out and we walked for miles but we are both shattered. The place was lovely but it has been taken over by the rspb and whilst it was new and nice, the rubbish on the coast was so dis heartening, it’s such a shame.

We took some nibbles and a big flask of hot stuff which was so nice when we got back to the car.

We went down roads I’m not sure were fit for a car which were fantastic.

There are 4 days worth of turkey meals in the freezer

Took a break from Turkey tonight and had an omelette and salad, erm followed by chirstmas chocolates and biscuits ops.

    1. Woke up at a normal time and felt human again :) The fog in my head has gone, just the standard coldy stuff left, yippee!!

    2. Popped into a shopping centre on the way back home from my parents and didn't sent anything other than parking, nothing grabbed me - and I was surprised at how relatively quiet the shops were. Virtual savings as I had been planning on buying some specific things in Lakeland, but they looked better online than in the shop.

    3. Lovely fun time in the bath with DD this morning, singing very funny songs.

    4. My last lovely meal cooked by someone else at lunchtime, I tell you, it was hard work cooking my own pasta tonight!

    5. Stopped off at MrT's on the way home and bought various foodie YS stuff.....including 2 big Christmassy tubes of Smarties, oops! Oh well, they were paid for by the bargains on the potatoes and stuff etc etc ;)
  • Hi all :) Please can I join in! This thread always helps me feel grounded.

    2. DS is on the mend after a few days of being really out of sorts.
    3. Spending all day with the kids as DH back to work and I am still off :D
    4. Making meals from scratch ( as always ) but without the pressure of "already being behind"
    5. Being able to have a night to myself as DH gone out for a couple of hours - time to plan 2012!
