Hugs to all in need xx

Chickenopolis - thanks very much for your offer to look after mog in an emergency - that's so kind of you. I didn't realise you were that close to Portsmouth - we'll have to arrange an OS pleasures meet-up when SavingforOz moves down here next year. :)

CCP - I'm planning to organise a MSE Old Style meet-up once I get settled in Portsmouth. I've done a couple in the past here in Bristol.

It'll probably be the summer before I sell my house and find somewhere to buy in Portsmouth. I'd be happy to help with mog as well - I think it's fairly obvious how much I like cats!

    Kittikins - get well soon.

    My pleasures for today:

    1. Getting a brand new cross-trainer for free! I'd been intending to buy one anyway; this afternoon I was heading home from a walk when I saw one on the pavement, with a note on it saying it was free to anyone who wanted it. Well, those things weigh quite a bit but I was only about a hundred yards from my house, so I managed to drag it back home, getting some very odd looks along the way. It looks like it's hardly been used and they retail at about £120 new. Can't believe my luck! :j

    2. Enjoying a glass of red wine in the evening.

    3. Enjoying my Slanket, which was a Christmas pressie - so soft and warm!

    4. Having fun in the kitchen this morning making a big batch of spicy beanburgers. Had one tonight and boy, was it spicy!

    5. Lentil and vegetable stew with pitta bread for lunch. Yummy and filling.

    6. Enjoying a walk in the park this afternoon and seeing some very happy and excited dogs enjoying themselves. Yes, I love dogs as well as cats!

    7. Being very organised and preparing a financial plan for 2012. Next year will be a year that sees a lot of change for me and I wanted to be sure about the financial side of things. Well, as sure as I can be when I'm moving cities, selling and buying a home and starting two businesses! :D

    8. Having a siesta after my walk and the exertion of dragging the cross-trainer home. I'm sure I must have Mediterranean blood in me - I love a short sleep in the afternoon.

    9. Enjoying Tinker Puss's antics - she was having a few mad moments today. "Must have a flea up her bottom", as my mum would have said. I won't have her for much longer - she goes to her new home on Thursday. I'll miss having my ears nibbled on in the morning!

    10. Reading some more of one of the novels I borrowed from the library.
Life is not a dress rehearsal.
  • 2 nsd’s and 2 no petrol days not planned, we were supposed to be heading to visit in laws but both have winter lergies.

As we didn’t go out as planned we went for a lovely long walk

A nap / siesta this afternoon!!!!

Followed a hellman’s mayo recipe but reduced for 2, it failed miserably.

Watching Harry Potter half heartedly as my mind is elsewhere due to the below.

Worrying news, the phone went at 4am it was my dad taken ill again.

(((((Hugs))))) to all who are still poorly.
PK, I hope your dad gets better quickly. (((Hugs))) to you too.

Another immensely quiet day here. Here's five more pleasures:

    1. Getting up late. Wonderful.:T

    2. Having the end of the smoked salmon with yesterday's mash fried up and salad for lunch. I'm sure smoked salmon and fried mash is not a well known combination but it was lovely and I can now recommend it. :D

    3. Going into the kitchen just now to discover that DS1 has done all the washing up and tidying up before he went up to bed.

    4. Reading up about wormeries. :D I have decided to spend a Christmas Amazon voucher on one because we are (after two years on the list) now eighty-something on the allotments waiting list in our town. I'd be surprised if we get offered an allotment in the next two years so I think we are going to have to get our container gardening going again and worm composting seems to make sense because it produces liquid feed as well as compost.

    5. Thanks for the reminder to those who have already mentioned it but we've had two NSDs and two NPDs here as well. Could get used to this!

    Sweet dreams

    B x

    1. Boxing day - :j - no pressure, no rituals, no worries
    2. Playing games with kids
    3. Watching 7 brides for 7 brothers
    4. Haven't really eaten or drunk too much
    5. Had a bit of a lie in after waking at 5.30 every day for the last week

Family are leaving tomorrow - bitter sweet.
