Will post my five for today later as have huge list of things to get through and the boys are (fingers crossed) playing nicely with Lego at the moment but just wanted to say thanks Olliebeak, your posts are always so positive and you put so much thought into what you say about other people; so my first 'pleasure' is going to be the mention you gave!0

Hiya
I thought I'd join rather than read today, mostly because my first pleasure is one of the most simple in life and is making me doa lot today..
1. I became an Auntie again last night when my brother and his g/f had their second baby boy weighing in at a whopping 10lb!
2. Hopefully we're going to be able to go and visit them next weekend as they live in Norfolk and we live near Bath.. We're determined to find a way without imposing too much or spending too much, but if we need to spend to stay there we will and I'll find it using some other OS technique afterwards!
3. I've just taken all the decs down and you can see without a miner's lamp in my living room again! The tree was blocking soooo much light out
4. I made roast chicken for lunch and already have the carcass boiling away for stock which is much better than leaving it lurking about for a couple of days then forgetting
5. I roasted off some pre-Xmas Veg box squashes that were lurking to make soup for when I go back to work on Tuesday whilst the oven was on for the roast dinner..
Hope you're all having lovely a Sunday!:eek:0 -
A very good evening to everyone, my 5 for today are.
1. Thanks to Ollie, i have spent more than i intended on the Lakeland site. I only went on to order her recommened cake tin liners. So many other bits found it to the check out too. So much for the nsds total, aming for 15 this month.:money:
2. Made lemon drizz cake as muffin buns this morning, to have at 11. Such a great recipe. Made up thick lemon icing and spread this on top, after the syrup went on. Bit more zest on top of that. Very moreish.:j
3. Big' to do ' list prepared for next week. Main thing is to Look at the prices i am paying for tv,phone, broadband etc. As i think i may be paying too much. I'm now with bt for a year and am due to have that renew call from them any day. Looking at my food spend as well, trying to increase the number of meat free days.:money:
4. Going out to see the new Sherlock movie, and dinner at La Tasca. Vouchers as a Christmas present.:D
5. DS back to school tomorrow, we have had agreat xmas and new year, shame it has to end. I really feel as if i've been on hoiladay. That sort of refreshed, calm feeling.
Have a great os evening, big hugs to all who need them. Caterina:A just love your blinds, you are a very talanted lady. Love BT xx0 -
1. Using £4 of lunche0n vouchers sensibly on shopping bits today
2. Managing to successfully hide 2 presents from DD whilst out - picked up my B00ts order which has a christmas present for her, and found a half price cuddly teddy for her stocking next year in Wilk0's which required some carefully shuffling of carrier bags so that she didn't see me buy it!! Never was I so irritated by her help, lol.....
3. Bumping into a friend at Mr T's and realising that whilst we see each other in there/outside school, we don't ever meet up with the girls or on our own, and both resolving to make this the year we stop being so rubbish!
4. Putting some washing on radiators this afternoon, it was far too cold for us to survive without some heat, so I thought I'd make the most of it.
5. Last but not least, my diet has resulted in a 4lb loss in the first day (gotta love food replacing with minimal calories, lol). Am hoping for another couple of lb tomorrow morning, but am having major carb withdrawals at the mo. Grrr.
6. Plan on taking the decs down tonight, can't wait to regain the space in the sitting room, although I will miss the multicoloured lights of an evening. DD is resistant but I will do it whilst she's in bed (hopefully hers).0 -
Today I was meant to be going for a taster scuba diving session but because of some health problems I couldn't go
so I really appreciated all the other good bits that made my day ok again!
1. Spent the morning in cosy warm dressing gown that was a present from Mum for Christmas
2. Scrummy lunch of 'soup a la leftovers' and cold pork sandwiches
3. Went out on my bike for a ride whilst OH ran as his training is getting too intense for me to accompany him in any other way then by bike!
4. Made an apple cake to use up soft/bruised apples - this is currently in the oven and was a bit 'just bung it together' so fingers crossed it'll turn out ok.
5. Looking forward to cuddling up on the sofa to watch Turn of the Screw which I downloaded on iPlayer .
aaah, much better now! Smiles to all...have a great last-evening-before-workClearing debt to save for a simple wedding.Starting 2016 With debt of £77000 -

Hi everyone
didnt post yesterday as I basically did nothing all day ....was just having a lazy day.
My 5 for today
1) was up early as I was determined I was not going to be lazy today!
2) went to shops picked up some plastic boxs to store my crafting stuff in,,,they were reduced!!!!
3) bought some reduced food stuff from supermarket
4) wrapped my grandsons birthday pressis for tomorrow I cant believe he is 4!!
5) having a long relaxing bubble bath
On major diet as from tomorrow, I have one large muffin top going on!!!!0 -
1. ds telling me that my beef pie was the best pie in the world (even though the vegetables were a little on the crunchy side:rotfl:)
2. lunch at the cafe in our local country park, followed by a looooong squirrel feeding/duck feeding walk.
3. I am up to date with my laundry - at this moment in time ... until tomorrow.
4. realising that I have all the birthday cards I need for this month already & feeling very efficient for writing them all out ahead of time.
5. setting the ball rolling for presents I need to make this month ... now I just need to shift the junk out of my 'sewing' room so that I can actually make them!0 -
Evening all,
1. Had a roast dinner out today, so nice not having to do the washing up (cough, even though Bosch does it!).
2. Doing a load of decluttering and setting myself a tough target. The house is brimming so it will make a real difference. Remember I said about the broken mugs the other day, well I found 2 spare that I'd bought at the time when I was decluttering a cupboard. Thank you Universe, thank you God!
3. Taking the tree down today and giving the room back a heap of space. Always a bit stressful as there's so much stuff. I will get some boxes next year like Ollie so everything is packed away in an organised way.
4. Knowing the cats are napping in the bedroom, they know its banned to be in there but sometimes its nice to let them misbehave.:p
5. Deciding not to build up too much of a stash for xmas pressies etc (nothing so far!). I bought some people a plant/tree thing for xmas and they were all warmly welcomed. So I will extend this as a gift to a few other people who I know love flowers/plants. I just dont have much room to store stuff. And I'll give cinema vouchers for birthdays during the year for anyone else.
:ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!" Less things. Less stuff. More life.Fab thread: Long daily walks
