    Morning

Purplekitten - Hugs to you and Mr. PK

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Getting 2/3 way through the dreaded software audit at work. We have been putting this off for ages.
    2. Another pile of ironing done before work, why is this never ending
    3. Free stocking filler in the post from tokens that a trashy newspaper were doing but I recycled other peoples papers.
    4. Naughty but yummy grilled chicken and grilled veg wrap with cajun mayo from my favourite sandwich shop for lunch
    5. Freezer dinner so making the effort to make some space I have been telling myself I need to defrost it for a year so determined that I am going to empty it now.

Hugs to all who need them

purple kitten please come here and moan if you need to! Hope Mr Purple is feeling better.

1.Later start to work, so enjoyed breakfast, call with friend and a bsuy day at work....but it's nearly holiday time!

2.Did extra hours so more cash in next weeks pay! Thought I was going to be off this week so the extra hours are a bonus!

3.Home to nice Christmas cards & letters.

4.Went to nearby town & got photos developed to send back home. DD1 handed out resumes to various places, she is desperate for a part time job, unlike her lazy brother!

5.Saw 52 parrots in the carpark! Yep, I counted them!
  • Chickenopolis - so sorry to hear about Maggie the Hen. That is sad - we know how much she meant to you from your posts.

purple kitten - sorry to hear about Mr PK, hope he is on the road to recovery.

    1. Got erm, a freebie coathanger in the post

    2. Managed to finally get out for a lunchtime run

    3. My OH's dad took us out for tea at my favourite place. Yum! I love it there, lovely food and so cosy.

    4. Got all my presents wrapped (bar my OH's, which I'll do tonight)

    5. My OH and his dad replaced a dripping tap and I now have a new utility cupboard that doesn't stink of rotting MDF :)
  • Thanks, for all of the wishes he is much better back to normal ish, I feel quite over whelmed by the support on here, but the huggy icons are a little odd:rotfl:

Ninoodle:- A coat hanger??? :rotfl:Is it maybe a gift in instalments? It did make me giggle, our post doesn’t arrive until late round here.

Time for some cleaning up and present wrapping, it could be very easy to be distracted ohhh by anything today:o

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

Purple kitten - I'm glad to hear Mr PK's recovering nicely. :) Good luck with the interviews - we've all got our fingers tightly crossed for you.

    1) A kind colleague giving me a lift when I realised I'd left my secret santa present at home (oops :o).

    2) A very pleasant Christmas lunch with colleagues - I think I was lucky with my menu choices, though, as apparently one of the options was horrible and nobody ate it. :( My secret santa recipient loved her present, which is always a relief, and I liked mine, too (a grow your own herbs kit, which can go out on my patio next summer).

    3) My quiz went down very well - several people have asked me to email it to them for their family Christmas celebrations, and I've already received advance notice that I'm required to do another one next year.

    4) Home early and curled up on the sofa with a lap-full of cat, watching the Muppet Christmas Carol by the light of the Christmas tree. ("Light the lamp not the rat! Light the lamp not the rat!" :rotfl:)

    5) Having a sudden brainwave for a replacement for the plant I've bought my DM for Christmas if it doesn't turn up within the next couple of days. (Although I'm still hoping it does, as otherwise it will be dead by the time I can rescue it from the post office after Christmas. :()

    Have a nice evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

Purplekitten -I think that there must be an invisible dress on ninnoodles coat hanger :rotfl:Like "the emperors new clothes" or maybe its a big hint for Mr. Ninnoodle ;)

CCP- I think that a coat hanger might be just the ticket for your DM if the plant does not arrive :D

mhagster - 52 parrots in a car park ... sounds like the beginning of a joke. But in all honesty, I knew a very well travelled eccentric older gentleman who spent a lot of time living in the jungle ( not sure which jungle) . He said that he had eaten a parrot before and just stared at me when I asked him if it repeated on him :rotfl:

    5 for today

    1. Now on leave until 3rd January - woo hoo!

    2. A nice compliment given to me by a Provider who said that he thought my input was very good. He compared me to someone I know in another team , that I have the utmost respect for .So it was all good. He tried to give me a bottle of wine which I politely declined as in my job it is not the type of thing I can accept as it could appear to be "bribery" so to speak.

    3. Cooked lentil dahl and rice again used a Peshwari Naan that was left over from a takeaway that I had saved in the freezer. Yum .

    4. My friend dropped her two hens over as I said that I would look after them whilst she had a well earned holiday . They are so posh!!They are rare breeds and are absolutely stunning . I put them to bed in a separate coop as she has only just left and my hens would beat them up given the opportunity . My hens look really rough compared to these :D Give them a week in my muddy garden ....
    .
    5. My brother received a medal today for 25 years service and an unblemished record . He left it at my Mums house for me to see it , I am proud of him .:)

Have a good evening all !!
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

CCP - let me know when you need help with your next quiz, we're hoping to do one a term in 2012 as they're a good money-raiser for school :)

    1. Popped in to see OH and yay, despite him still being paralysed on one side of his face, he gave me lots of kisses *swoon* :):)

    2. Naughtily took DD for a chippie supper......not MS at all, but as I'm full of cold and feeling grotty, I couldn't be ar / bothered to cook tonight and it was a big treat for her ;)

    3. DD and I played lots of games today, and sang silly songs :)

    4. Had another form to fill in for the new house!

    5. Good chat with my mummy on the phone
  • 1. The postman bought a lovely Christmas card and a letter saying our PPI claim has been accepted no idea of amounts yet, but anything is welcome.
    2. Christmas decorations are up and it’s feeling festive, we picked up £5 worth of mince pies for 25p, they were marked down to 5p each.
    3. It’s clean and tidyish, 2 washing loads and clean bedding put on.
    4. New soft snugly fitted fleece sheet thanks to Lidl, it was reduced to a fiver and very needed so a Christmas present to ourselves and nice clean bedding so should hopefully get some good sleep tonight.
    5. We have various bird feeders in the garden, I’ve just filled them all up with National Trust fat balls that were at pound land.
    6. I remembered to put in for a repeat prescription before my pre-payment card runs out.

An update the role I interviewed for has said they are “not rejecting me”, it sounds odd I know, but I still have so much crossed I’ve worked hard to get though the doors so this would be lovely esp. at this time of year so I am still everything crossed, touching wood, I would cast a spell if I could!
