    Morning

Sunyrosy - Hugs to you as others have said you are a very brave person.
    Kittikins - Get well now

    Pleasures for yesterday;
    1. Finishing the dreaded monthly report at work and getting it emailed out to the boss.
    2. Christmas tree going up at work and having a mince pie
    3. Walked to work yesterday as the traffic was horrendous so no travel costs plus got there quicker this way
    4. Dinner out with friends last night. We laughed so much it hurt plus the food was really yummy.
    5. Getting a lift home with some friends I haven't seen for a while so a nice chance to catch up in quieter surroundings than dinner

Hugs to all who need them

    Back again with Tuesday's pleasures:

1.Leisurely start to my day (just as well as work was crazy ,mad, hectic!)
2.Saw a kookaburra on my way to work, it made me smile , I have seen a few before and when I told my colleagues they were as expected.....yeah? a kookaburra ! However, it made me happy!
3.Home to 3 happy, chatty children ...all trying to talk at the one time!
4.made strawberry ice cream in my new ice cream maker, using RTC cream . It is rather delicious and cost less than a tub of shop bought.
5.Going to have a bath & a read of magazine! Tad chilly today at 15o which feels quite cool!

    Have a good Tuesday x

It's so easy to lose posts on this site! Very brief version of my previous post...

    Yesterday

    1) Waking up with MrB. :-)

    2) Getting washing done at mum and dad's. Washing machine man coming tomorrow.

    3) 90% of Christmas shopping done in Worcester.

    4) PCWorld have written off my laptop so will be given new one at same specification. The old one was quite a high spec because it was cheap in the sales!

    5) Carol singers came round.

    6) Worse storm we have had in ages so lay awake at 4am listening to the horizontal rain hitting the windows. (We're very high up).

    7) Lovely texts from MrB as I lay in bed after reading bedtime stories, smaller son had fallen asleep next to me and I was comfy with a hot water bottle. :-)

    Today so far

    1) Friend came round for a cup of tea.

    2) Wrapped all presents!

    3) House clean and tidy.

    4) Brought in a mountain of logs in case it snows.

    5) MrB coming later. :-)

Early one for me as I'm going to head up to bed when DD goes, as I'm still feeling achy and rubbish :(

    1. Lovely to see Frith happy again :)

    2. Drove past our soon to be dream home and felt really excited :)

    3. Went into the office, felt rubbish, so did the bare minimum, and then decided not to be a martyr and go home - thank goodness for a lovely boss

    4. Stopped off at MrT's to get tins of soup for DD to have easy dinners whilst I'm not liking standing up for too long. Not much of an OS pleasure and I was shocked at the prices of some things, not just convenience foods - tins of value sweetcorn have gone up 10p since I last bought them!

    5. DD's definitely last Christmas present arrived whilst I was languishing on the sofa, so glad I was in as otherwise I might have had to drive a long way to the depot to pick it up! It's a little alarm clock, she's been asking for her own one for nearly a year, so Father Christmas is going to oblige in her stocking :)

    6. Nice chats with OH - I daren't go and visit him until I'm feeling 100%, so missing him like mad, but he sounds chirpier yay!

    7. My fence NOT falling down in the storms last night - ditto roof tiles not coming off!!

    8. Yummy leftovers for dinner tonight

    9. Nice chats with my parents on the phone, feels like ages but has only been a few days.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

Mine for today, in no particular order:

    1) 'Borrowing' one of the SO chicken breasts I bought for the mog, which I've turned into a spicy pasta bake with various odds and ends of veg and some of my HG tomatoes which I froze earlier in the year. There should be plenty for dinner tonight and LOs for lunch tomorrow. :money:

    2) Got a bit of my essay written - it's not very good and I will doubtless change it later, but I always feel better when I've got something down on paper.

    3) Mog treading on the keyboard while I was trying to type - he must be feeling better if he's making a nuisance of himself!

    4) I briefly had a white garden, which felt very :xmassmile. (The white was hail, not snow, but, as my DM said, it will do until we get the real thing. ;))

    5) Planning a lazy evening watching the last two parts of Frozen Planet - I didn't sleep well last night so I'm not up for doing too much essay writing. ;)

    Have a pleasant evening, all.
Back after a very long break!
  • Good evening all!

CCP - glad to hear that you and mog are enjoying some fine dining :D Essays bleugh ..well done on getting something down x

    kittikins -get well soon x

    5 for today

    1. Just the 2 fence panels down this morning . I leave for work in the dark and get home in the dark so OH sorted them out when it was light.

    2. Busy day at work that flew past . A girl at work that talks non stop sits opposite me - when I had my lunch at my desk desperate for some peace she looked at me and I said "No, I am not talking shop" - she said that she was just looking at me (which was even worse!!)and wasn't going to speak to me and certainly wasn't going to after that ..oooops .I can be a bit too boundaried at times :o

    3. Maggie hen in separate coop and is eating well. I went to check on her when I got home from work and she looked all cosy in the nesting box and then she actually screamed at me in a very non chicken way and tried to peck me . Not sure if this is a good or bad thing .Time will tell , I guess.

4.Lentil dahl and rice for tea with some pitta bread .

5.Just cut OH's hair - I love using the clippers on it ! I used to love clipping out the racehorses. OH fidgets more than any racehorse ever did!

    6. Lots of half decent programmes on tonight that I am looking forward to watching

    Have a good evening all!

    1. I managed to get a free parking space at the bank and paid in two cheques - freebie parking makes my day.

    2. Cleaning the house all the way through.

    3. Sat and wrote a list of all the house cleaning chores to be done on Friday 23 December - it is creeping up!

    4. Hand delivered Christmas cards to neighbours in the village.

    5. Seeing the bottom of the laundry basket - for now!

By the way Chickenopolis - I use the clippers on DH hair as well. It has saved us allot of money. Within five cuts the clippers had paid for themselves. He used to have to drive to the barbers, wait, have his hair cut, then drive home again and pay £8.00 for the privildege. So when you add up the fuel costs etc he has done pretty well out of it. There are quite a few of his colleagues who cut their own hair as well.
Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money :D
  • Evening all! Sorry, have been awol for a couple of days, need to catch up :D

    Mine for yesterday and today

    1. Mulled wine and mince pies yesterday, courtesy of the dept. Mulled wine was lovely!! Didn't go crazy though, because..
    2. ....we went out last night for boss' second birthday thingy- much of it was a surprise and I think he was touched- he gave me a big hug- awww
    3. Boss promised to look into possible posthumous rewarding of a degree for my lovely friend who died during her PhD- I think she deserves something, if "only" a Masters, as she had worked so hard and her parents would be so proud.
    4. Got drenched and cold coming home, so was v grateful for my heavyweight duvet to snuggle up under!
    5. Woke up naturally at 7am today
    6. Helped colleague to assess students' presentations- they are always good to hear and the students put so much effort into them
    7. Useful hospital apt this afternoon - useful for consultant too who, erm, consulted me on toxicology :D
    8. Ponies/rabbits/dog are all tucked up in stables/utility room/snoring in front of fire

Hugs to anyone in need xx

I have a colleague like that and when we shared an office. I used to wear earphones with the end shoved into my pocket as if I were listening to my Ipod, so I could pretend I couldn't hear him prattle on

Next time, threaten to twitch/sedate OH to "clip" him, if he doesn't keep still :D:D Yes, there is something satisfying about clipping horses (but not about the bits of hair that seem to end up all about one's person afterwards!!)
