Hi all, very quick list from me....
1. Saw my friends mum in town and she gave me a lovely hug and kiss (my own mum passed away earlier this year).
2. Given some lovely flowers as a thank you for some work I did.
3. Laughing at the dog getting cross because he couldn't get his bed 'just right'.
4. A cup of earl grey and a whispa bar from a bargain selection box after tea although maybe I shouldn't have opened that box.......
5. Anticipating a nice warm comfy bed which I'll be in anyminute now!£2 savers club no.107 :j £36 so far.0 -
Belated Happy Birthday Purple Kitten, the cake sounds delish, and how exciting your DH picked up the watch
Congrats CCP on finishing the essay :T
Welcome Riversong, bless your little one for his laughter
1. Cheating a bit I know but remembered another from yesterday - was driving home in the afternoon, could see for miles across flat fields to trees in the distance. The mist was creeping over the fields so they weren't really visible, but the sunset was just stunning, bright crimson gashes over the black outline of skeleton trees which looked as though they were floating above the earth. If it was a painting I'd have said it was a figment of the artist's imagination, nothing could look so eerily beautiful.
2. Postie brought my water bill, they owe me £60 - I really can't understand why I got a letter from them a few days ago saying they're increasing my dd
3. Phone call from a friend asking if I'd like to meet for a cuppa this afternoon, I was baking but at the pre-oven point so could leave it for a while. We met at a supermarket cafe, I took my jacket off and straightened my jumper, as you do, and a cloud of flour rose up in front of me. How embarrassing!
4. Had a stroll round the supermarket afterwards as it's one I don't usually go to, and left there not having spent a penny. Really
5. Made my first ever batch of leek & potato soup (never too late to start) not only was it easy peasy but it was really yum. Tweaked the recipe as I'm a bit low on milk so used half milk, half Greek yogurt, it was so creamy I think I'll do that again
Night night, sleep tight0 -

Happy Birthday, PurpleKittenAh Frith so so your son will be one of the noisy lot who are currently visiting Thinktank - I work in the same building as Thinktank, but wasn't there yesterday, gosh they do make a racket when they come through.:D
Thanks for the hugs and good wishes - i dislike this time of year, it's a bit of SAD and the anniversary of my mum's passing and a visit to dad makes me even more sad sometimes if he is as low as he was at the weekend.
Anyway mine for yesterday
1. Went christmas shopping with a friend and had lunch so that took me out of myself
2. Bought new boots - fake Uggs but good quality from TK Maxx
3. Veggie Bobotie for tea - looked a bit yuk, but was delish
4. Booked our hotel for New York next year
5. Took the night off and did nothing.
Ah well, must dash - good days to all.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
VJsmum - probably not as noisy as my bigger son and his class who visited last week!0

Frith -Ask him right out, it's 99.99% certain that he's just friendly with her (and possibly a bit immature (I had experience of something very similar with my exOH who was kind of reliving his youth by being fun and flirty with someone he worked with, and didn't mean it as a seduction method and thankfully she was sensible enough to eventually tell him to bog off, lol) and doesn't realise how it looks to you. Please don't torment yourself with what MrB could do, it's what he is doing every day by being a lovely caring cuddly boyfriend that matters.
I'm still in that learning process with my beloved OH, that he is not in the same mould as those who have gone before him, remember the other week when I thought he was chatting to other women? However, if I hadn't had the painful conversation with him, he wouldn't have realised what it was doing to me.
Be strong hon, and big hugs x0 -
Hi Frith,
I hate to say it but to be honest I would be feeling very insecure if this happened to me (that is just me though and I have had the same happen re unfaithful boyfriends). Have you been with MrB long? It's hard to advise without knowing the full picture. But maybe next time he mentions her, you could come right out with it and ask him if he has a crush on her as he mentions her an awful lot? But smile while you're saying it so it doesn't appear 'accusing'? Then take it from there - not sure what his reaction might be. Or you could even suggest that she sounds so nice, you would love to meet her too!
I would be worried if he was texting her flirty messages though. Was this something that could be misconstrued as flirty? When I think about it, I often text back and forth to a guy I work with who lives in London and it could be misconstrued as flirty if you didn't know the relationship. But there is absolutely nothing in it, not any flirtiness, just friendliness. What I am trying to say is please be careful incase there is nothing in it0 -
Thanks, both. I have added a bit to my post, pity its on the end of the penultimate page!0

Frith, I wonder everyday if I'm in the right relationship, and I've been with my OH for 4 years. My ex-husband and I split up really because there was no spark left - we were more really good friends than anything else, but there was nothing in his nature that I didn't like. He was a lovely man.
With my OH now - well I do see a cruel side to his nature and he can be so pig-headed and arrogant. But on the other hand he can be so unbelieveably thoughtful and kind. It's strange, but I do see where you're at with certain behaviours and wondering if they should be cause for concern and alarm, and I think lots of women do as well. I don't know what to suggest other than keep an eye on it and not to get in a 'boiling a frog' position where you don't notice anything wrong because you're used to it.0
