Five for Saturday
Yesterday was full of laughter and fun with the in laws, I do feel lucky to be able to say that but I genuinely enjoy their company, a great time, and we of course got fed and watered at theirs.
We went into Canterbury, and visited the Christmas market, a hot chocolate and ameretto or Baileys was had by all.
We loved the charity shops, but I found something, a wooden otter statue I absolutely loved but unfortunately when I saw it someone picked it up mulled it over for what seemed like forever and then bought it!!! Arrrgh,, that was the same in most of the shops we enjoyed people watching well crowd watching really and the Christmas lights of the market and town as dusk fell.
Took the cat food we have been getting from P@H over to in laws as they live right out in the sticks no where near the shops, wonderful but they then don’t get the deals for their moggy.
Feeling better for a change of scenery, company, talking and laughing.
As we were waiting for people to get off the park and ride I noticed that literally every other person had bought a Christmas tree J. We have a “half tree” we use each year, it’s artificial and perfect we hang it up and it’s out of reach of the many paws..
5 for today
Breakfast and 2 teas, then a loud pop, a burning smell and the fuse went off – we are now kettle – less – bloody things.
A few hours of deep cleaning and disinfecting with help from DH.
Posted off PPI claims, as in finally put a stamp on the envelope, and walked to letterbox doh!
Big smile on my face when the people across the road put up their Christmas decorations.
Homemade Chilli and Rice
Catching up on washing, doing a good job but now it’s everywhere drying, 7 loads of it J0 -
Gorgeous doggy, Sparrer
Another murky day today, it doesn't seem to have got light!
Mine for today:
1. Meant to be having a lie in, but woke up at silly o'clock and ended up going to make a start on the horses. Mrs pony carer was a bit shocked to see me on my lie in day, but it was lovely to catch up with her as I haven't seen her much recently
2. Came home and made pizza and soup for everyone to help themselves for lunch- went down v well!
3. Also made rice pudding, just like my nana used to make- also went down v well!
4. Made some handmade cards and jewellery, some for me to give and some I am planning to sell in work in aid of SPANA, which is a charity that pony carer and I fundraiser for
5. A repeat of yesterday, but nice week ahead to look forward to
Sorry for any typos - OH has pinched my laptop and I am still getting used to the iPad (technophobe)

4. Very good trip to Mr A this afternoon, just in time to catch some ys fruit/veg bargains
5. Boy racer pulled out on me from parked without signalling, luckily only knocked my wing mirror. Not really OS but I did shout quite a lot of OS Army expressions at him
Sleep tight0 -

1. Collected something I was given on Freecycle which I was going to buy this week anyhow.
2. The look of amazed delight on older baby daughters face when she realised for the first time since it happened that the orange beaker no longer has a no-spill valve and so water can be poured into the highchair tray to play with.
3. Got a text with nice news, a friend has got a new lover as is all dippy and excited.
4. Had an actual bath without any interruptions at all (I have 3 kids).
5. Settled the tiny baby's name- at last (she's over a month old).0 -
It really struck me just now about how much diversity there is in things to be thankful for and celebrate: from mhagster's dress code:'pretty'/lemon-coconut slice to Cat 501's DS coming off drips and oxygen in hospital... and everything in between. It's the stuff that makes life worth living and the life itself. Ok, end of 'thought for the day'!!!
My five pleasures for today:
1. Driving to a competition in the dark and the fog tremendously early this morning and coming home again in the dark and the fog tonight in one piece!
2. Crossing not one, but two toll bridges on the way home We use one regularly and, although I know it costs money, there's something I like very much about little old toll bridges with original toll houses still in use on them. (I don't feel the same at all about modern toll bridges)
3. Some lovely conversations through today catching up with old friends and making some new ones.
4. Walking through the door this evening into a clean (enough) and tidy (enough) house.
5. A gooseberry yoghurt for pudding.
Sweet dreams
