    Morning

Savingforoz - Welcome back and another one that would love to hear about your travels.
    Purplekitten - Hugs to you
Millie - What a total idiot that man is:mad:

    Pleasures for yesterday;
    1. Managed to get some ironing done before work
    2. Lunch with a friend on 2 for 1 deal. Had a good catch up and let her get talk about the plans she has for scattering her husbands ashes. She normally will not talk about him so could that she could talk today.
    3. Managed not to lose my temper with someone at work who is not pulling there weight and causing me more work. She just does not see that she that if she stopped talking and flapping and just got on with it then there would not be an issue
    4. Nice walk home from work even if a bit chilly but it cleared my head after the days frustrations
    5. HM Chilli and Rice for dinner using RTC mince. Warmed me up nicely after the walk home

Hugs to all who need them

hello, almost bedtime for me, was up far too early this morning (4.30am ) and worked on after I should have finished! So an extra couple of hours pay! Will make up for the hours I've given up this week!

1.Was still dark when I left work! But saw a beautiful sunrise!
2.Had a lovely stroll back to car, saw some different parrots white with pink on them. New ducklings too, very sweet as the others are getting to the not so pretty stage!
3.Took DD2 & her friend to their last after school class, DD1 & I went to next town, she got the new Harry Potter DVD as an early birthday present.
4.Made steak pie, carrots, red cabbage & mashed potatoes for tea which was mos yummy & used up frozen apple & pear & made a crumble for pud.
5.Not very money saving but finally sat down to write some cheques for DD2's school and their constant requests for cash! Been on my mental to do list!! So done!

Off to my bed, have a good day!

    Hi Everyone,

Just popping in to say "hi". I have quite a lot of work to do before I catch my flight tomorrow evening so I really should not be mooching round MSE!!!

    1) Had a date last night with the "older" guy from work. We had a really lovely evening and he was a complete gentleman and even paid for my taxi from the bar home! We have date two scheduled for when I get back from my holiday.

    2) He's given me some good advise re career options and has promised to help me out if anything appropriate comes along. He also said that I should bypass my boss and speak directly with the main boss about how unfulfilled I feel. I might just do that!

    3) I have been making loads of mince meat, green tomato chutnet and tomato and courgette chutney.

    4) Picked the last of the 2011 harvest

    5) Am off to get my hair just in a moment... discounted rate as usual!

    Au revoir

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Hi y'all
    my 5 are
    1. 2 super bargains in the local charity shop
    2. pan of hm soup cooking on the log burner which is filled with free logs
    3. my horses are all fluffy and cuddly and great to be around
    4. ditto the cats
    5. DS1 washed up without being asked.
    Have a great day everyone.
  • 1. We picked up an RTC glade candle for a £1, which is burning and filling the room with a vanilla toffee smell.
    2. Another pied piper moment, we went for another walk around to P@H for more of the cat food on offer, I realised we are walking about 2 odd miles each time but it’s enjoyable as it’s all back routes and can’t be bad to get out a bit.
    3. Stamped and posted off the dull paperwork and bits I have been putting off.
    4. Nice and warm again after the above walk.
    5. Tea is an Asda pie which will take an hour to heat through, and I’m just looking up how to make a cheese sauce for the cauliflour, Cabbage and potatoes.
  • Good evening all!

Savingforoz -yes I remember you well when I was lurking.I clearly recall your vegetarian feasts ! I do admire your drive in obtaining your goal. Welcome back ! DO TELL

PPPK -;) I can picture the mortified cat, put out, because you insinuated it was a DOG by putting a lead on it :rotfl:I mean imagine it.... a DOG

millie - OMG what a git . Sparrers response was spot on . Mine would have been more caustic .I mean , just how did he think you were going to react to a comment like that?

    ladyhawk - ooooh :D Have a lovely holiday x

CCP- I have your head pain :( I am too nice to give it back to you.

    One or two for today

    1. Lengthy two day site visit completed . Home before 5 pm

    2. Manager said I could finish off my report for my meeting tomorrow at home instead of going in to the office for an hour . Saves petrol, time and stress.

    3. Off to bed now to sleep head pain away . Usually does the trick. If not I will have a "shoes in fridge day " tomorrow where basic stuff does not compute and things end up in odd places...

    Good night all x

    Evening all.

savingforoz - I definitely remember you - it's great to have you back. :D Another vote for hearing all about your travels here, please!

Purple kitten - I think the headache was caused by something wrong with my neck, actually - it's still very stiff and gets sore if I spend too much time on the computer. :(

Chickenopolis - all I can offer is sympathy - go away headache!

    1) NSD.

    2) Wore my new fluffy boots to the office: they're very comfy (almost slipper-like, which is odd when you're in the office) and got lots of admiring comments - several people asked where I got them so there might be lots of fluffy boots around the office soon. :D

    3) A 1p Reverbe at lunchtime.

    4) I managed to salvage some cheese biscuits I attempted to make for a charity event on Friday: they're still not good enough to sell, but at least they're edible enough for my use, which is an improvement as I thought I was going to have to throw the whole lot away at one stage. :(

    5) Managed to repair one of my earrings which, rather embarrassingly, fell apart in a meeting this morning - thank goodness for super glue!

    Have a pleasant evening, all.
Back after a very long break!
