I like this thread as it's so positive and makes me grateful for the great things that happen :-)
1. Made a lush pie for dinner (made yesterday so just warmed through)
2. Took the minibus to work & back = free and green transport
3. Feeling nervous about interview tomorrow but two people i dont know at work spared some time in their busy days to give me pointers (how lovely is that!)
4. On the same note my team ive started managing were all so positive & really lovely giving me moral support for said interview
5. Made h/m egg mayo wholemeal sarnies for work lunch with plum flapjacks- beats a £3 sainsbo's meal deal each!
:0) hope all are well, good luck with all the job searching purplekitten and thanks for letting me share xFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -
1. Sorted out the baking cupboard, had just enough flour to make a loaf
2. Second batch of scones turned out well. Mhags the lemonade scones sound so strange I have to try them
3. Got the whole of the ground floor cleaned before I went shopping
4. Bought a ys (yellow stickered, ninnoodle, same as RTC) bunch of yellow dahlias for 50p, yogurt on 241 and 3 trout fillets for £1
5. Friend came for tea this afternoon and was more than happy when I gave her the hm loaf and some scones to take home
6. Searched for ages with no luck last night for flights to Rome next Easter, then this evening I started again and flound a perfect flight from a reasonably local airport and sensible time of day (no early departure or midnight return) for silly money - booked it before someone else snapped up the last seats
7. Another friend phoned this evening to invite me for lunch tomorrow
8. An Idiot Abroad

My five for today:
1. This thread. It's like a huge great hug and all those 'welcome back's have made me feel lovely. Thank you.
2. I got a statement from the Water Board today and I didn't understand it so I rang them up and it turns out that we are spot on with the estimate for our instalments so I don't need to pay any more each month. I'd been worrying about this because our use of the washing machine has rocketed with all the club sports kit that needs laundering each week but our economies elsewhere seem to be working. :T
3. Got the banking done.
4. Mr S vouchers in the post - a few of which I'll be able to use.
5. Catching up on 'Land Girls' on iplayer.
Sweet dreams.

hello from a hot & bothered me! Too bloomin' warm for my liking....however, a wee breeze is picking up & forecast to rain, so I hope it cools down a bit (moan, moan!)
1.Worked until 12midday today instead of 3pm.....selflessly vounteered to leave again! I have a busy morning tomorrow & will be in work earlier than normal, so took some time back today.
2.Stopped at Salvos on way home & got 2 nice photo frames & a top for DD1.
3.Very lazy afternoon....was too hot to be bothered! Did a washing & that was it!
4.Took DD2 to her free tutoring session at library. Tutor has agreed to privately tutor her weekly, so this will hopefully bring her maths up to speed for starting secondary.
5.Nipped to school to see DD1's art work displayed in Art Exhibition. It was jam packed & very hot so looked admiringly at hers & slipped back out!
6.Went to supermarket for bread and juice. Got 2 still nice bouquets of flowers RTC from $20.00 to $2.50
Sitting in front of my fan watching X factor now before going to iron uniforms
Enjoy your Tuesday x
eta:CCP : I meant to say I hope you're feeling better, headaches are just the pits !0 -
5 for yesterday. (Monday).
1) Bigger son went on a school trip to ThinkTank. I used to like the old Science Museum in Brum (and it was free...) but good to hear the same exhibits can be seen in ThinkTank - I remember the Spitfire and the old bicycles.
2) Texts from MrB during the day.
3) Helped my brother plant some fruit trees. He got an orchard grant for 72 new trees.
4) Am applying for a job. It's been a long time. I'm really struggling with the form, I've got to the 2 blank pages where I am supposed to describe why I'm the woman for the job... It's as an invigilation/exams officer in a local high school, sounds varied and good hours for me. But I've never done anything like it.
5) MrB here. :T And he made cakes using some cooking pears I'd earlier poached.0 -
Frith - MrB just gets better and better, he can bake as well
You lucky, lucky girl!

1. Getting two loads of washing out on the line in the afternoon sunshine - hopefully they will dry
2. Doing the final clearance on the garden. Garden recycling bin is full again, but that will be the last of it until we get the lawn mower out again end of February next year!
3. Having another clean through in the house and cleaning the bay windows, sun is shining through and there is not a streak in sight :T
4. In an hour or so's time DH and I will take the dogs for a walk in this lovely autumn sunshine and make the most of it.
5. Big cuddles from the dogs and horses when I got in from work - well the horses are not in the house but they were hooting to me from their field at the bottom of our garden, so I had a wander down there with some apples for them!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:
