Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

My apologies for the radio silence (or internet silence ;)) over the past few days: my headache got worse and worse and I was advised to stay off the computer until it was better. This will probably have to be a quick post as I've been on the computer all day at work and I don't want to push my luck!

    1) Waking up this morning with a slight headache, rather than the sensation of being hit over the head with an axe that I've had for the past few days. :(

    2) A phone call from the garage to say that my tyres had almost definitely been let down deliberately , and very apologetically asking for payment as he didn't think it fair that I should pay when the damage wasn't my fault. I pointed out that it wasn't his fault either, and that I didn't expect them to do the work for free! :p

    3) A naughty but nice treat of a gr3ggs sausage roll for lunch - they're against all my foodie and OS principles but, just occasionally, I can't resist. :o

    4) HM chicken pie for dinner.

    5) My OU tutor has kindly given me a week's extension to the deadline for my essay as I couldn't work on it over the weekend, so I don't need to do any work tonight. He's also sent a link to a documentary he wants us to watch before the next tutorial, so I can watch that and pretend I'm doing something useful. ;)

    Have a pleasant evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

  • 1.Not sure it’s a pleasure, I applied for some benefits help and they have been a bit helpful actually backdating it to the time I finished work, so both myself and my husband have a benefits interview on Thursday which is fine, but is it terrible to say I feel like it is such a stigma.

2.Some more jobs applied for some promising and should hear feedback off one tomorrow.

    3. Went to Mr A’s for some RTC bargins, err well we now have over 100 sausages for pound total, tonights dinner is a rtc 1.50 jamaican chicken meal for 2, and we bought one of those really big pizzas and as the lady was checking it out she said that one went through just now at a pound so she put it through at a pound and various othe rtc items were reduced even further. Sometimes the timing is spot on, and the check out lady is obviously very happy. Other times we go and the shelves are bare.

    4. Phoned about my club card as my new card appears to be short by 600 points I was told they will appear on the Wednesday for some reason.

    5. A nice big hot cuppa tea made by OH, whilst waiting for the chicken to cook.
  • Purple kitten, good luck on the job front. By the way, what is RTC?

    1. Got my dad and partner's Christmas present sent off today, nice and early (they live in Spain) so they should get it for Christmas
    2. Not too bad a day at work, got a fair bit done today.
    3. Went for a run in the drizzle and saw a little deer run off in front of me. They always make me smile :)
    4. Got an email to say my mobile I sent for recycling was fine and I will get my money soon
    5. HM cottage pie again for tea (made double yesterday)

    Evening

    Pleasures for today:
    1. Working in a different office today so took lunch with me. Did buy a cup of tea and a croissant this morning but can claim that back on expenses so tasted even better.
    2. Getting the work that needed to be done much quicker than expected. Also managed to give a collegue some support as his line manager can get a bit power trip mad.
    3. All my train connections worked really well on the way home so was home earlier than normal when expected to be at least an hour later.
    4. Tasty dinner using up various bits and pieces from the fridge and also sorted some tasty fillings out for OH sandwiches for next couple of days
    5. Feeling settled at home with my little family around me.

Hugs to all who need them and welcome back Broomstick. CCP get well NOW.

Thanks, my job finished 2 months early and I have been looking for the past 2 to 3 months now with lots of interviews at least. Job wise at the moment, perserverance is the name of the game, thick skin and determination is keeping me going, though I have to admit last week I literally job hunted all week long, with 2 interviews I was glad when it was the weekend! ;)

RTC is reduced to clear (yellow labels), we have been very lucky recently right time right place for 5p bread ok for freezing, and all meat at 10p, we have a chest freezer that most things go into for stock
