    2. Went to cinema with DD and DS and watched Tintin - really good, but not very MSE - £25 to get in
    3. Went out for a curry at friends - really nice evening.
    4. Slobbed about all morning - think i needed a rest
    5. OH was away and it was the first night alone after the break in to the garden and tho i was a bit jumpy going to bed, i was so tired I just slept!! :T

DS clothes shopping can't be put off any longer - wish me luck

hello, nearly bed time for me!

1.Had a lovely quiet ,start to my day, pottered about whilst everyone else was still sleeping. Windows had been left open overnight & it was so cool & pleasant after a warm day yesterday.

2.We have lived in this house for a whole year!

3.Ikea......well, I wanted 4 poster sized frames for 'Keep Calm and ......' posters I'd got in UK....note to self ....measure first the next time! So cut one down to size, DD1 got the 'eat cupcakes'one for her room and still need to decide what to do with others! Hmmmmm....on the plus side, we had a nice wander round Ikea (with OH in car!!) and I loved seeing all their Christmas setting displays!

4.OH cut hedges (I swept up) and grass so garden looking better, then we nipped out to get a few things for my work then I had a wee snooze after falling asleep reading! I will get this book read!

5.Nice ,quiet evening! Finished my ribbon wreath which will go on my front door, watched Frozen Planet, the filming is amazing. Just need to go & make lunches for tomorrow then it will be bedtime!

    Enjoy your day x

    Hi all, here's mine:

    1. Finally convincing OH (depression) to invite friends over for dinner and it was a success. Went for easy food that we all like.

    2. Thought I'd be seriously lamenting our deceased dishwasher but as I washed up as I went through the evening it wasn't too bad at all.

    3. The sunshine today.

    4. Hanging washing outside to dry instead of hanging it all round the hallway.

    5. Planning the next friends we will invite :)
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • Afternoon all! Well the day started off foggy and miserable, then the sun came through and it has been lovely this afternoon

    Mine for today

    1. Went to see my friend for her birthday, took cake and some of my handmade jewellery and a handmade card, she loved it.
    2. Took friend's dog (JRT) for a walk around the fields, soaked up some of the lovely sunshine
    3. Went to the yard, parents had already mucked out, so we sat and drank tea
    4. Giggled at Oldie having a mad half hour, bucking and snorting. Took her for a walk around the fields to loosen up, which called for more high jinks and her poncey Welshie trot. Silly old fossil will be stiff in the morning!
    5. OH is off this week and I have a bit of time off work too, so we are going to go out somewhere nice. V tempted to pop out to the pub now for a cheeky week-off drink :D

Love and hugs to all in need xx

    5. Relaxing watching Downton Abbey with a cuppa, with the knowledge that darling boyf thinks I'm a domestic goddess :0D

  • Tealady: Your adventures sound truly amazing, what a fantastic time. I hope to do the same maybe next Christmas as it’s something we always talk of doing.

    1. We laid in on purpose to enjoy the weekend!
    2. Loved the sunshine to of the afternoon and tried to get some washing loads done but couldn’t get them hung out on time.
    3. We walked with the animals to pets at home as the cats are totally out of food, they had their last tin of pound shop tuna for breakfast this morning so they didn’t mind too much! P@H have whiskas pouches on 2 for £5, and the animals chose a little kong tennis ball also on offer.
    4. Enjoying kicking the leaves on the way back
    5. Making a slow cooking pasta bake with any left over anything in the fridge and some baked beans, hey we can pretend we are camping. But we will have to go shopping tomorrow evening as the fridge is literally bare even the animals look in and fold their ears flat!

EWe planned on cleaning up but just haven't quite got round to it today.

    Evening

Purple Kitten - We had talked about our trip for ages and were supposed to go last year. In the end we just decided that we had put it off long enough and went for it.

    Pleasures for today;
    1. DD getting home safely, having had a good time and was not the worse for wear.
    2. The huge turn out at our local rememberence day service. DD has been marching in the Parade for a number of years. This year she was with the Rainbows and looked so grown up.
    3. Not OS but had breakfast in the local cafe after the service before we walked home
    4. Just made some chocolate muffins
    5. Roast lamb in the oven for dinner, yummy

Hugs to all who need them

    5 for today (Sunday).

    1) Yesterday's sleepover went well. Smaller son and I went to bed at 11.30pm and left the 4 boys in the living room. I fell asleep instantly! (Usually takes me a good 2 hours). Woke at 2 and they were still talking and laughing. Fell asleep again and smaller son enjoyed waking them all up at 8.30. :-D Apparently, they had wanted to beat their record for staying up so went to sleep at 3.45am... They were all very good. They watched Tron and apart from that just wanted to talk to the kitten.

    2) Breakfast for 5 boys this morning then a couple left early for rugby practise and those left made a film.

    3) Easy tea of left overs - yesterday's cottage pie.

    4) Had a good tidy up and it looks OK in here again now plus all washing done.

    5) Texts from MrB. :-) He will be here tomorrow night (minus his sons) and I am wondering what to cook. Got some cooking pears for pudding.

    6) Now sitting in front of the stove, my sons in the bath. They are quite grumpy due to 2 nights with little sleep (2 sleepovers here in a row) so I've run them a deep bath and they've got Action Men and my wine making equipment, funnel etc in there!
  • Good evening all!

    Tealady-
I agree with purple kitten your trip sounds amazing ! The Chrysler building in my mind is probably one of the most stunning buildings in the world. I would love to see it , it would probably make my tummy go funny ( Causeway Bay in Hong Kong did ):D

Purple kitten - did all of your animals walk to Pets @ H? I have a vision of you being like the Pied Piper - with pets instead of children:rotfl:

Frith - If I had ever had children I would have liked to have had grubby ,solid, boisterous boys with scabby knees . You sound like a fantastic Mum btw.

    5 for today

    1. Fantastic sunshine here in Costa Del Sussex!

    2. Duvet cover, sheets and pillow cases dried on the line . Some a*** lit a bonfire at around 3pm so had to bring it in , but it was almost dry anyway .

    3. The maple tree has been cut right back , so I spent the day snip snipping lttle branches in to matchstick sized pieces and filled my green bin and some of my Mums up with my tree :( Oh laughed at how I thrive on methodical monotonous tasks .

    4. Cheeky nap when the grand prix was on with a hot water bottle on my back - the noise winds me up something chronic - so my brain says SLEEP to shut it out .I am the same with Jazz music, except I like Jazz .

5.Feeling contented by the achievements made in the garden, hens stretched out asleep in the sun, and seeing the beautiful heron that visits the garden that backs on to ours.

Despite cutting my forehead on a branch ( ooh another Harry Potter scar ) and falling over in the garden and banging my knee on a pile of wood !

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

    Easy peasy:-

    1. Having a lie in and feeling snuggly in the clean sheets (flannelette) knowing that actually I don't 'have' to get up so early.

    2. Lying in bed with a cup of coffee looking out over the garden and seeing all the hard work from the summer months has paid off - it was worth all that pain, hassle and effort afterall :)

    3. Putting the washing out on the line and watching my white sheets billowing about in the breeze being dried in the glorious sunshine.

    4. Cleaning the house through and seeing everything sparkle in the dwindling afternoon sun.

    5. The sun shone today and that really did make me sooo happy :)
Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money :D
