mhagster;- OH and I are often saying when we were-ahem younger I am sure there used to be "proper" storms and thunder and lightening but it's been years since we have seen anything like that in the UK.0
-
1) getting in enough food to last us a fortnight and only spending £75.00.
2) Watching my daughter pretend her grapes were talking to each other before she ate them
3) Feeling the sun warm when it came out, even though November
4) 5 minutes peace now my son is napping to catch up with emails/phonecalls and MSE!
5) Am hoping for at least one more before the day is out, its only 2pm!0 -
Evening all, err it’s been a seriously lazy day.
Applying for jobs online.
3 loads of washing washed and err hung about to try and dry.
Researching car insurance carefully to try and get a good deal.
Enjoying the full magical view of the moon
In keeping with the laziness dinner is from the freezer to the oven cooking through now.0 -
Good evening all !
purple kitten -I have everything crossed for you !
sparrer - I remember reading "a brief history of (or through?)time" by Stephen Hawking. Easy peasy I thought ,describing SH's life , wife, children and disability ... until half way through it started to mention worm holes and the like . It was like reading two different books, to my shame I only made it to the "hard bit" :rotfl:.
5 for today
1. The day at work whizzed past due to meetings.
2. I got some kind comments at work from a Practice Manager from another team about the level of detail in one of my reports .
3. Beautiful weather - I had my lunch in my car between meetings and I got a heat rash on my neck it was so warm from the sun shining through my windscreen.
4. I received £27.50 of Mr. T vouchers in the post - destined to be redeemed for nice days and meals out with family and friends.
5.Chicken chow mein fake away for tea.
Have a good evening all x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Evening all.
It's a bit of a quick one from me tonight as I'm not really supposed to be on the computer: I had to leave work early today as I had a really bad headache and I told myself to stay away from the screen until it was completely gone. I wanted to watch TV while eating dinner and, as I only have TV over the internet, I had to switch the computer on, then thought, 'oh, I'll just see who's on the forum...'.
1) LO fruit crumble for breakfast.(Not quite as bad as it sounds, as the crumble topping was largely breakfast cereal anyway.
)
2) A delicious HM butterfly cake courtesy of a colleague.
3) A very purry welcome home from the mog as I was a couple of hours earlier than he was expecting.
4) Received a £25 gift voucher for doing surveys so I can go and buy my new boots tomorrow for the grand sum of £10. :money:
5) Welsh baked eggs for dinner - fantastic comfort food.
Hmmm, a bit heavy on the food pleasures today.Never mind - I'll just I'm trying to cure my headache.
Have a good evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
CCP - I hope you shift the headache soon x x Nothing to do with all the lengthy OU reading is it??:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0

One. Of. Those. Days. here. Tomorrow can only get better
Picking up the good stuff...
1. Sprinkled edible glitter on the choc brownies I made last night to make them look pretty!!
2. Work lunch and a cheeky glass of wine with one of my fave people
3. Went to see my lovely friend after work and met her new man, she lost her hubbie last year, so I am so happy for her. Took choc brownies
4. Called in at Waitrose on the way home and found some RTC macaroons for 1.55. They are normally £6-odd and I have wanted to try them for aaaages. Mum and I have just been sampling them!
5. Gorgeous big cuddly dog waiting for cuddles when I got home- she hasn't stopped gazing at me since and keeps doing her cute head-on-one-side look when I talk to her *in love*0 -
Still feel grim. Don't know whether to go to sleep (any time, day or night) or burst into tears. How many more years of this? :-(
Anyway, 5 for today (Weds).
1) Boys happy enough at school; smaller son had swimming.
2) Cleaned the lounge - including walls, woodwork, floor...
3) Kitten quite happy today.
4) Spoke to the class teacher at CAMHS and there isn't anything terribly mentally wrong with smaller son - they just can't get to grips with his behaviour and want some new techniques to get his attention. I think they've put him on every special needs program they've got.
5) Had a quick game of darts with sons earlier.0
