Hugs Frith, hope MrB has been giving you lots of cuddles and love and double grrr to your stupid headteacher, what a numpty! :( Thanks for the reminder re: Holby City :)

    1. Had a nice lie-in and still managed to get DD to school and me to work on time - phew!

    2. Finished my great library book, looking forward to getting some more tomorrow

    3. Had left overs for lunch, nomnomnom.

    4. Went to a new to me class at the school I help out at today and they are lovely children :) Going to enjoy working and playing with them

    5. Received an invitation from the school to join them for Christmas lunch, as I go to school just before lunchtime, I think I ought to go,as rarely for our county, they have a proper kitchen and it all smells deeeelicious!

    6. DD did the hoovering for me :)

    7. Rainbows was good fun tonight, the girls are such cuties.

    8. I popped in to see OH and for once his beloved parents weren't hovering around (slight blush! meant we could have a nice cuddle) :):) Can't wait for him to come for a few day's sleepover tomorrow, yay!

    9. Yippee, I'm going to manage not to put the heating on for another day, we have come back nice and warm and DD can have her electric blanket on for a bit when she goes up to bed.

    10. Planning a good girly chat with a chum on the phone once DD and her children are all in their beds tonight. It's been too long since we caught up on each other's news.

    Evening all

Thank you for all your good wishes for my trip. We had a fabulous time in NY and while not exactly MSE we did not spend nearly half as much as we thought we would.

We flew back overnight last night so now feeling a bit dead on my feet but trying to stay awake a bit longer so not up at 3 in the morning.

Will post properly tomorrow when can think a little straighter

Hugs to all who need them

  • Good evening all !

Frith - re the link worker-from the contents of your post its seems as though that it may not be your son with "communication" issues;) ((hugs)) to you xx

kittikins- hope your leg is better? How are things going on the house front.

    6 for today

    1. Day off !

    2. Went in to town on the hunt for a plain A5 diary for a colleague as our employer does not supply them . I have been searching for a few weeks and finally found one for him in the pound shop.He still owes me a pound for the one I got for him last year:D

3.Went to Mr. T used a £5 off voucher but my £5 giftcard did not work as it had not been activated. It came in the post yesterday having collected lots of vouchers from a newspaper in order to redeem this. Called the newspapers helpline who are dealing with it .

    4. Roast for tea and banoffi meringue - I need fattening up a bit :rotfl:

    5. Gave my lovely neighbour some eggs .

    6. I found a shop that sold coconut milk for 72p a tin , so I got four. The same shop also sold a reputable make of "Scandinavian" moisturiser - a big pot for £1.99. This might sort my "turkey " neck out :rotfl:
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

    Evening all.

    5 from me (hopefully):

    1) Opened a new bag of cat litter to find a sample-size pack of cat treats sitting in the top. Odd, but I'm not complaining, and I'm sure the mog won't be either! ;)

    2) Thanks to a tip-off from someone on another thread I wandered up to Mr T at lunchtime to take advantage of a 3 for 2 offer to stock up on bread flour, including a spelt one I've never seen for sale around here before (I've always got it from the veg box company).

    3) HM soup for lunch.

    4) I couldn't find the fishcakes I meant to have for dinner (time for a sort-out of the freezer, I think :o) but located a couple of beefburgers which were an acceptable substitute.

    5) Made a start on my essay. :A OK, I managed less than a hundred words, but it's still started! ;)

Hugs to all who need them.
Back after a very long break!
  • The interview went very well and I have a “provisional offer” that can’t be confirmed until later this week so it still has 2 days where it could all go wrong! I’m sorry if it sounds pessimistic, it’s just on my job search so far I have found if it can go wrong it will, so I have to sit with my fingers crossed until later in the week, and hope to be a very happy bunny, until then I am going to have to keep the search up just in case.

Enjoying a town called Eureka on Sy fy I’m liking the series and Warehouse 13, am I cloest Sy Fy fan!

Watched an amazing programme about a chap where a tribe accepted him into it and he worked through the tribes showing him first hand how the logging is affecting their lives in ways you would never have thought of.

CCP I love it when I hunt through the freezer and find something I'd totally forgotten about. Hope you enjoyed the burgers
chicken you have me drooling, banoffee meringue sounds decidedly yummy.
Tealady welcome back, looking forward to hearing about your trip when you're awake :D
Reverbe good to see you there in the background (thanks for the thanks!), often think of you and hope you'll feel ready to post again in the not too distant future :)

    1. arranged to have lunch with a friend next Tues
    2. ditto next Fri. Not the best time in the middle of my weight loss challenge, will have to try to be good :undecided
    3. nsd/npd
    4. sorted through the C pressies, surprised to find I'm almost there thanks to collecting bits and pieces throughout the year
    5. a strange 'pleasure' but I've just finished a library book I found heavy-going, pleased as now I can start the next one. Silly isn't it, we keep reading in the hope it will improve and it's such a chore!

    Sleep tight

Well, I missed a call from one of the village estate agents last night, annoyingly they didn't leave a message, but fingers crossed they've got something for me to look at. Woke up this morning and my leg feels much better, still couldn't walk a marathon, but feel better than I did, hoorah!

Sparrer - one of the luxuries I now allow myself is that if I don't get into a book in the first 30 pages, I might skip along a bit, try a few more, but if it's still dull as ditchwater, I leave it :) Life's too short for bad books imho :)
