    Evening Peeps!

Quick Hello as I need to do some school work. Have spent too long prevaricating on here already!!!:o

    Recent 5...

    1. Made about 50 cup cakes for DD to take to swimming club to say well done and thank you to her team for their recent success. (Cup cakes also seem to have been a success. I love my cup cake maker! :j)

    2. Observation by my boss seemed to go OK. Haven't had the feedback yet, but he seems to be quite happy, and even joined in the lesson at one point! :)

    3. Hens still a pleasure. Still moulting. I shouldn't laugh, but they do look a bit like bald eagles at the moment. :o

    4. DS2 invited to a Halloween party last night. Stopped for a cup of tea when we collected him, and chatted with another mummy who I haven't seen for ages.

    5. Doing lots of Halloween themed lessons this week. It amuses me greatly. The students protest that it is babyish, but they love it really! :rotfl:

Have a lovely evening. HE x

Hugs CCP, hope you feel :) very soon x

Chickenopolis - I'm hoping the right place will find me, quite excited by it all, but have spoken to a couple of solicitors today and OMG, how expensive is it to buy/sell a house?!?!

Groan - some swine was in my garden at 3.00 this morning nicking my son's bike from the shed. So blatant - they opened the gate which makes a tremendous clang but just carried on anyway.

Bit shaken - lots fuming. All power to the police who were here in about 4 minutes (probably helps that i live in an ex police house) but they'd gone.

Anyway on to brighter things, for yesterday

    1. Got lots done for work today - can go into my lecture this evening feeling confident
    2. HM pumpkin soup for tea with HM cheese straws
    3. 3 loads of washing on the line
    4. DS made lovely biscuits at school - after an emergency egg dash
    5. Managed to tidy up a bit.

HOpe the rest of the day pans out better than the start - and everyone has a good one.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

VJsmum, sorry to hear about the bike, what a little (insert swear word of choice) you had coming into your garden like that :( Hope karma will come and bit the miscreant on the backside very soon. Hope DS isn't too upset :(

Hugs peeps, the sun is shining here and I've had lots of texts from OH who is staying with friends in London and going to a rock concert tonight! Then coming back tomorrow to babysit for me whilst I go out to a meeting :)

(((Hugs))) to all feeling low atm, hope things pick up now if not sooner
VJsmum what a horrible, rotten, dirty ^"_*"-=! Hope you can claim on your contents ins. A reminder to me to lock my shed in future, I seldom bother but would be furious to lose anything.
Moggymutt well done on helping out the charity. I do admire you for going back for more, I'd be far too embarrassed in case people thought I was being greedy, getting them all for me :(

    1. One of those days when I've been busy but seem to have acheived very little. Picked DGD 2 up to take her to the orthodontist, took me almost 40 mins to go 9 miles at 8am because all the farm vehicles were on the roads. The joys of living in the country ;). Had a mooch round Mr S afterwards and didn't spend any money!
    2. Planted out the forget-me-nots at last, in a tub with a rose called Peace. Appropriate as the rose is in memory of a family member
    3. Repaired a part of the 'seat slider cover' on the car which had broken off with @r@ldite, now I won't keep catching my heel on it. While I had the glue out I dabbed a bit on a £1 cake cover which I bought last week and had a wee crack in it by the time I got it home. Moral, cheap isn't always best, but I think we're all stuck back together now :D
    4. Another mild and sunny day, doors and windows open to let the fresh air blow through
    5. Bought a pack of FrontLine (flea treatment) for the dog on line, the vet wanted £34 , I paid £14.95 for the same size pack

    Enjoy the evening

Have been an occasional lurker on this thread, it's great chicken soup for the soul and a lesson in learning to cherish the small victories so keep it up :T.

    1) Having an amazing day with my ten kids, getting lots of hugs and introducing them to George, Zippy and Bungle.

    2) Getting a big smile from FIL after him being away for a week.

    3) A few ice cold beers after a long day (must update grocery challenge!).

    4) Haggling and winning!

    5) Had a really delicious pear for lunch. Haven't eaten one for years and for some reason it just made me really happy. like I said, it's all about the small victories :D

  • Sorry I didn’t post yesterday, we are very saddened that our friend didn’t make it, as soon as they took him off the ventilator, he passed away. At least we can be there for this family and being neighbours can help with things, but it was odd going out today we looked at the house as we went past, and it’s so true it’s only a home when the people are there. But coming to terms with it and in fairness at least it was quick for want of better words.

I went to another interview, for a local role but it wasn’t right, they thought I could do the job a bit too easily and would get bored, I don’t mind it’s like each search opens new opportunities.

Nice clean bedding and a nice bath of course

At the moment I am out of kilter with the washing as we have a pile of towels and bedding, and 3 loads of washing, and yet I did 2 loads of washing today! Its like a gift that keeps giving.

Sorted out my tesco club card as it wasn’t on my account at all.

Started on the new shed, we err bought it over a year ago now with some vouchers that we had to spend before they ran out, but stored it in the green house, now we are dedicating a few days to sorting the foundation out and concreting, hoping to get it done to protect the junk – err stuff we have sitting on the shed base without the shed around it.

I’ve made a homemade shepards pie that is complete comfort food and slowly cooking away at the moment.
