Chicken - poor you. I'm pleased that it does't seem to have lasted long.
Kittikins - you are sounding much happier glad you seem to have sorted things out.

    1. A lie in - much needed.

    2. Small amount of decluttering and listed stuff on ebay.

    3. Managed to sort out the order of service (with DS2) for FIL funeral. Pleased to take that job from DH.

    4. A neighbour saying how polite DS2 is when ever she sees him.

    5. Easy tea of sausage and mash which we hadn't had in ages.

I may be growled at for this - refused on freecycle as they require a[high, to me] qualifiying spend:

    2X£20 Debenhams vouchers, valid 31 October > 11 November, against purchase of £100[or more]or 15% off @ debenhams.com.

    Does anyone want these?

    In the meantime,
    1. Smiled and nodded head at your talk with rainmaker, sparrer. God's Law to Sod's Law in just a few seconds' pegging. Have done same this morning. HOPE it stays dry. Yes, the trousers ARE extraordinary - just found the Alberto brand here:
http://www.alberto-pants.com/en/about-us/index.html - I'll put the linky in my listing.
    2. Thankyou CCP. Wish it had been me.
    3. Frith - mhagster has said it for me.
    4. Kittikins - so pleased that all is settled with OH and felicitate DD[et vous, aussi, bien sûr!]on son français. Exciting times for you all.
    5. Mild again, going outside now with olive bread & bol de cafe[after a re-zap] - French petit dejeuner today. Have had few tsps plain yogurt, an orange, water, with which every day must start.

Fell asleep at start of AR last night, so have that to look forward to on i-player ce soir ....and Tin Tin prog.

Feeling ashamed that you all can remember which people need which kind of greeting and i can't, so i'll just say sorry for those who were ill, well done for those who found bargains and i'm pleased that most seem to have had a good weekend.
    1. OH not well yesterday, which isn't good but at least he wasn't nagging us to do stuff, which was
    2. OH and i walked into town by the river route and watched a very tame heron for a good few minutes
    3. Watched Downton, which is getting increasingly ridiculous but at least was an excuse to sit down with my knitting.
    4. Finally sent my paper off to Cape Town - one thing crossed off my to do list
    5. DS and i built his 3D relief map together for his homework. Sometimes i am more creative than i ever thought possible.

Busy again today, tho feeling a little under the weather. Have to try and cross 3 things off my to do list work-wise.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Hello!
Been a dry day though not particularly warm. Had a day off work, one more on Friday then back to full time hours & full time pay!

1.Drove kids to school gates! It's a local holiday tomorrow & majority of pupils were off today too...this bad mother sent her kids to school!

2.Oldies had a lie in.....so I pottered about until they were up, then dropped them off at the station & went to library. Borrowed a few nice cookery books....then went into next town & had a wander round shops all on my own! Quite blissful!

3.Home & tidied up .....hoovered, washed floors, cleaned bathrooms, ironed .....so all caught up once again!

4.Picked up kids from school. Then took mum to doctors as she's not been feeling very well. Had to phone round 5 practices this morning before we could get one with an appointment.

5.Home to spag bol made by DD1 and Salad made by DS, I made apple & sultana crumble (very yummy!) OH bought the ice cream (reduced) so a team effort for tea! I also made cupcakes as I had left over frosting from weekend.

That's me, off to bed soon as up at early o'clock for work!
  • Good evening all !

Thank you all for your kind wishes - I was really touched x

    5 for today

    1. Feeling well again :D

    2. Laughed at my own stupidity (CCP )as I hadn't changed the time on my watch. I got a shock when I looked at it at work , as I had been looking at the time on my monitor all morning :rotfl:

    3. Henri the hen marched right through the kitchen to find me when I got home from work an hour later than usual- she must be miffed about not getting her grapes at the usual time.

    4. OH printed off a sign for the trick or treaters "no trick or treats please . An old witch lives here already " I thought this was hilarious so have taped it to my front door.

    5. A belated roast dinner is beckoning ....Yum

Have a spooky evening all x

    1. got 2 pairs of brand new with tags trousers from the local charity ship. They would have cost £48 in the shop but I got them for £8. Fantastic
    2. Weather very mild, horses still in top paddock and am looking forward to tomorrow when they will move to the bottom paddock which has lots of grass and a field shelter with a deep straw bed.
    3. Has a good clean of the living room, its looking good
    4. treated myself to a bunch of flowers, only £1.75,lovely autumn colured chrysants, they are now in the cleaned and tidied sitting room in a cut glass vase and look very nice.
5, had a delicious lunch, stew out of the freezer so minimal cooking day to day.

Glad you are feeling better Chickenopolis

    Bless him ;)
  • I’m shocked at how profoundly I’ve reacted to some news tonight, we have a lovely neighbour who is older and lives on his own now with his family grown up with their own families also in the bad winters the past few years we went over to make sure he was ok, got his shopping in, and just odds and sods and just generally kept an eye, his son came over to let us know that he is in intensive care. I would love to visit but they are taking him off the ventilator tomorrow I just think it should be family. He has been ill for as long as we have known him but it’s just always been a part of him. His son said what nice things he speaks of us a fair bit apparently I feel both flattered and saddened. We have everything crossed for him tomorrow, when he comes off the ventilator.

    1. Went for a short walk
    2. Used up all leftovers in an omelette tonight
    3. Watching Eureka
    4. Having an in depth talk with my OH it feels better to share.

Chicken- so pleased you are feeling better :) and the thought of that sign made me giggle

Purple Kitten - :cuddle: because it sounds like you could do with one xx

Bonkers day here, well not here, in work- loooooong day. Pathetic attempt at multi-tasking by moi! All over now though, thank goodness :D

    Mine for today:

    1. Took my own lunch to work and sent OH to work with his too (hopefully this will stop him eating carp)
    2. Nice chat with nice lady at work and her coffee morning raised lots of money and my jewellery went down v well
    3. Fab MIL took over dog and wabbit duties today - dog is a doddle, rabbits are v v spoiled, I am bonkers but hate to see the suffering of so many pet rabbits, so they, rather like the ponies are high maintenance- turnout, fetch in, muck out, feed, yadda yadda
    4. Reverbed (hehe) £1.16 from under the boot cover while mucking out OH's car this morning.
    5. Had dinner cooked tonight by fab parents and pudding (I only had a spoonful due to shrunk clothing) it was blackberry (foraged from local hedgerow) and apple (given to the hosses, but we pinched them) crumble. Bliss
(cheeky 6) I am so tired now, so early PJs and early night- I sense I theme with me now that the clocks have gone back!

    Evening all.

    1) More MS than OS, but I ordered a much-needed new pair of work shoes using a 20% off voucher downloaded from this site. :money:

    2) HG tomatoes in my lunchtime sarnie.

    3) My outside lamps are all working again. :) They're supposed to be solar-powered but they don't seem to charge very well, so I went out and bought a battery re-charger which seems to have done the trick.

    4) Had a slice of my modified beetawix cake and it tastes lovely - just like the one my DM used to make when I was a kid.

    5) Ordered a couple more vouchers from my survey points. :money:

Have a pleasant evening, all, and hugs to those that need them.
Back after a very long break!
