Evening all.
1) Some lovely messages from people on another OS thread that I've decided to temporarily resign from.
2) The lovely owner of a local sandwich shop agreed I could pay him tomorrow for today's lunch as I didn't have any cash. :A
3) Not OS, but I gave in yesterday and put the heating on - it's only on very low but it's so nice to be warm!
4) Roast squash stuffed with HM chilli for dinner.
Millie - wow! That really is fantastic news: I hope your pony enjoys her posh dinner courtesy of HMRC.
Purple kitten / Ladyhawk - I'm sorry about your respective jobs, but I'm sure the perfect one is just around the corner.Back after a very long break!0 -
Ooooh Chickenopolis, would that be the P or the B place? I've been to the B but not the P races before. Have a brilliant time around my neck of the woods
Ok, life is starting to feel a bit better thanks to a glass of wine whilst my dinner is cooking.
kittikins- its the F. P . place :rotfl:. I have ridden at the B one many years ago.
I am sorry about your news about meeting up with the anaesthetist (sp) . You have to gear yourself up for "big stuff " like potentially tricky operations and post. op. rehabilitation. It must be a worry for you ((hugs)) .:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
5 for today (Weds).
1) A lie in!
2) Looking round the shops for a while.
3) Visiting my uncle (92) and aunt this afternoon for tea and cake.
4) Mum and dad's for tea.
5) Phoning sons at 7pm (they're still with their dad) and them saying they were on the beach at Aberdyfi. Fired up mum's laptop, went to aberdyfi.com and looked through the webcam - and there they were!!!!! :-)
6) Brother came to play on the Wii with me.
7) Listened to the football on the radio as MrB is there tonight and his team won 5-2. :-)0 -
1. Lie in til 9am, woken by furry things but quite happy as it was a glorious morning
2. Shopping with DNeighbour and her DD, most of what I needed was on offer or ys. Huge bag of fresh fruit for £4.90
3. Intended to call in at the vets surgery on the way home for the cats flea treatment, but DN found the same brand in the supermarket for a third the price. We both bought several months supply!
4. Bought some iced buns to have with our tea, 241 so 25p each. The spare one I gave to DN's DD for tomorrow
5. Out with friends this evening, got home late after being the driver for the evening but had a fun evening
(((Hugs))), night night

1. More homemade cooking this time chilli chicken and cabbage
2. Sorted some more of the 2 foot pile of paperwork, think it may be down to a foot now!
3. The new off cut is down in the bathroom
4. A hot relaxing bath
5. And one for the job hunt – I received a call today saying I wasn’t out of the running for a job I applied for last Friday, they are just a bit slower than first thought for an urgent role which would of course be fabulous, and a couple of calls to make in the morning about 2 lovely looking jobs, I’ve applied already but will follow it up with a call.0 -
Very warm in Hotsville!
1.Although still getting a surprise when the alarm clock goes off, off out to work in short sleeves & watched 6 hot air balloons in the sky above the city. Then parked next to a cockatoo who was not one bit bothered by me reversing into my space!
2.Kept busy at work & have worked an extra 3 hours this week. Which is just as well as I am off again tomorrow.
3.Washing dry in such a short time.
4. Being a very nice mum & picking up both daughters at seperate events after school.
5.Strawberries already off our plants we just planted 2 weeks ago!0 -

Morning
Pleasures for yesterday,
1. Getting my desk clear ready for a couple of days off
2, MIL offering to take us to the station today so saves on a taxi fare
3. Got my eye brows threaded and it didn't hurt too much plus didn't cost too much
4. EAsy dinner of pasta using up lots of bits and pieces in the fridge.
5. Lovely chat with my oldest niece on the phone and I will see her on Friday
Will be missing for a few days as off to the North East as one of my nieces is getting married on Friday. Plus staying in a hotel I used to work in 21 years ago which will be interesting. The flat (which was part of a converted water mill) I used to live in is now part of the hotel so would be nice if we got that room.
Hugs to all who need them. Congratulations Millie :j and good luck with the job hunting Purple Kitten0 -
my 5
1. its just a lovely day, its overcast but so still and the autumn colours are fabulous.
2. am baking bread so the woodburner is lit as it needs warmth to rise so the house is lovely and toasty
3. the de-cluttering continues apace, under the bed has been vacced, all dust bunnies gobbled up by Henry, and empty jam jars and bottles consigned to the shed instead of under the bed. I even had a couple of strong cardboard boxes to put them in.
4. I bought myself a magazine to read.
5. All pets are well and contented,fantastic.0 -
Hi All,
Chickenopolis - Fancy remembering we have hens! They are lovely, and great fun to watch, but have gone into a moult, so no eggs at the moment. We are in the process of building a nice big hen enclosure, so DH can have more hens! (It seems to have become his idea now
). Doggie is very jealous, so I tell her she is 'The Best Hen'! :rotfl:
VJsmum and OldTractor - I have to admit to being a card carrying Archers Addict!
5 Pleasures this dull and rainy day........
1. Nice curry last night made from YS sauce and chicken. We bought naans from the local takeaway to add a bit of authenticity!
2. Found a glitch at Mr T on the BOG2F shampoo and conditioner, so with double the difference I got them all free! :money:
3. DS2 has been at dance workshops today and yesterday. Very proud that he was invited to take part, as he is really too young, but he has enjoyed the challenge!
4. The pots I planted up yesterday have had a good watering this morning and my heavily discounted cyclamen and winter pansies are perking up nicely. All they needed was a bit of tlc.
5. Wearing my newest Oxfam find. (Maxi dress). I need to get EBaying to make room in the wardrobe!
Hope you are all staying warm and dry. I'm off to do some housework to keep warm!!! HE x0
