Hello!
Most gorgeous day here!
1.My car started ! last night when I went to nip out for something it wouldn't start! Husband got it going & I had to take it for a run....so left early in anticipation of it not starting .....so was at work earlier than needed to be! started at home time!
2.Busy, busy morning at work & managed to leave kind of on time-ish! Had an hour before kids came in from school which was nice!
3.Have sorted through kitchen freezer, which needs defrosted. Have made a list & will try & use up this week.
4.DD1 hung out washing before school & then I have just hung another load out (whites....once school shirts were home!) ,it's 4.45pm but still very warm so will dry fine!
5.Dare I say.....I think jetlag is over! Hurrah! Had a lot of extra sleep at weekend so hope I've got it all out my system.
6. Saw the most gorgeous ducklings , about 10 of them , on the river near my carpark. So sweet! Stopped & watched them for a few minutes.0 -
I'm still very much running on empty and apologise for absence, although I'm reading.
Rolling putah troubles don't help and endless asking for help here, receiving patient trouble-shooting suggestions, then trying to sort matters takes hours.
mhagster - I've just had to have a new battery too, £54::eek:despite prev. new one-May last year. But at least I'm mobile again.
ladyhawk - from the moment I read of that email, I'm hoping it's already with you.
frith-I can't be the only one who notes how relatively 'Am I bovvered?'/casual/nuisance-value only/unfraught, is your reaction to today's further ex-OH machinations. More a sense of him just being blotty tiresome, yet again, rather than reducing you to previous stressed out uncertainty. This new confident you, all shiny with new, genuine, grown-up happiness is 100% confirmation of what we have seen over the last weeks, excellent...and thankyou Mr B:) And if this is a mask you're adopting, same felicitiations. It will become the real thing the more you wear it.
sparrer - tentative soapy lunch:Dmeet poss next week?....at last? I bought 2 group-on vouchers for Chinese Restaurant in Cambs[one given to M]and the other awaits.....
1. RUGBY. Went again to The Snug yesterday as [a]no parking charges on Sunday, being mobile again meant I could pick up shed roofing felt on way back. I fact, I couldn't do so otherwise.
2. GREAT MATCH! DITTO RESULT! And I discover that Israel Dagg played for the Magpies, for whom I did sth in old NZBC days...a very local boy indeed.
3. Further stop en route back for indoor hyacinths and there were still some non-standard colours, including apricot, which I usually miss out on. Included a spare for S whose pregnancy A and I are determined to shepherd through and guide gently.
4. Had more help when I discovered something horrific, alarming re:email. Won't feel absolutely reassured until I've contacted x re:this.
5. Skype accessed again at last, after several months no-go, so was able to speak>NZ rellies and DM called too. We spoke for 100 minutes, I saw:eek: Will I get back again? I'm trying to.
6. Very cold today, but have had soup that felt just right, from lamb roast bones and tired veg.
7. Resuming at Charity tomorrow while I can.
8. My MrT goodwill moneycard has been sent in turn to gettingready's daughter, for Lucy and her kittens. It made sense - I couldn't have afforded to give such a sum and hadn't sought it anyway. Besides, I learn they have Mr T nextdoor, which makes it easier than some of the public transport heavy lugging they've been doing. There are more lovely pics on the Thread and, I think, some sound offers for good homes in the offing.
Stay snug everybody....or cuddle one of tiny Lucy's little kittens[post 132 on the Thread will do it.]

Just found a UKHOTDEALS em, and I am supposed to be enticed by:

Hugs Ampersand, good to see you back here, have been missing you. Glad the rugby went the right way (I never look at the score just the legs
)

Thankyou kittikins, hope you are over your own not-quite definable-not-quite-right patch.
I blame the abnormal transition of season for unsettling everyone when the usual script-range is torn up.
CCP-apologies to your poorly puss & you, too. I'd tried to link Lucy news as a furry Get Well but see it hasn't carried over.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Pleasures for so far today
1. Ampersand is back posting with us and hopefully will be 100% in all respects ASAP (computer and healthwise of course!!)
2. Got another load of washing on the line....fingers crossed it will be dry in a bit
3. Had another "great" night's sleep and woke up feeling really refreshed, if a tad coldy and chesty, grrr....hate the change of season.
4. Did a Reverbe whilst tidying up and found 1p
5. Took a bootload of tut to the tip, yay more rubbish out of the house for good.0 -
Thanks, Ampersand - yes, things not too bad here
Will try 5 for today while I have a quiet moment.
1) Not a bad sleep last night.
2) Texts and a phone call from MrB
3) Kitten still happy.
4) Looking round the 2nd hand shops (didn't get anything)
and
5) Got a FINAL COURT ORDER! After 6.5 years. The ex was after half holidays so my solicitor and I took an hour at court writing out half holidays/his weekends for the next 2 years... Then my solicitor spoke to his and.... guess what... he had decided half holidays would be too much for him!
The best bit was the ex getting jealous (par for the course) and having a go at me for having a new boyfriend... MrB bought bigger son a much loved Swiss army knife for his birthday so the ex tried to get his barrister to say that MrB is an unsuitable person to be around my sons. Ex's barrister said he (bigger son) is 11, lives in the countryside and the ex was being (and I quote) "a bloody chump"!!! :rotfl:
All good.
Oh yes and 6) Went to the station to print out tickets for going to London on Friday. Me, MrB and lots of sons. :T0 -
Good evening all!
ampersand - sorry to hear that you are still feeling poorly x
Frith- gosh your ex is really "stuck" isn't he? Stuck as in the sense of being stuck in the mess that he has created all by himself, and looks set to stay there by all accounts . Blimey , so glad that you and your sons have come out the other side in one piece x
Ladyhawk - ????
5 for today
1. Half day at work - got a report finished and sent off .
2. Booking some tentative Christmas leave at work. I worked on my own over Christmas last year , so we shall see how this pans out.
3. Had a nap this afternoon which shifted my headache -for a bit.
4. Did a nuttybabe (btw- where are you?? hope all is well) and made a fake out KFC.
5. Cold and dark tonight - hens took themselves off to bed at 6.30 ! A night to snuggle up I feel .
Good night all x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Oh Frith what smashing news
I'm so happy for you that it's all final now and I agree, your ex is "stuck" isn't he......kind of wish it was quicksand

Evening all,
I am sad to say I don't think I got the job. They haven't actually said as much but I think I may have asked for too much money.Oh well. Dreams sometimes do get stamped on.
The way he was speaking it sounded like he was going to offer it to me but then when he asked what my day rate was... and suddenly there were 3 other people in the running. Maybe he is just playing hardball but I don't think so.
Anyway so that has put a dampener on my day so I am going to try to be positive...
1) Walk at lunch time - took my ankle boots to be resoled so at least I don't need to buy a new pair this season
2) Got some good samples from work for the baking extravaganza
Not sure if I can think of any more
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0
