Apologies ladies, didn't mean to mention IT but it's the first, and probably ony, time it's happened. Mind you if it had been any bigger I'd have slept in the lounge, as I did a few weeks back! Not another word, honest
1. Up bright and early, the washing on the line by 8am
2. Made a chicken/tomato casserole in the sc for this evenings dinner, tasted far better than the chicken tonight in a jar. Also made a loaf to mop up the juices
3. Made a very large dish of rice pud as DGS loves it
4. DS/DGS arrived early, we organised tea then went to visit DD, DSiL and DGD2, had a good evening in her pub, much merriment and teasing as DS is reffing a match on Sunday in which the pub team is playing. It's ages since I've been to a pub in the evening, the atmosphere was lovely and lots to do, including guessing the weight of a pumpkin and choosing a lottery number. Entertaining and money well spent. Won't be making a habit of it though!
5. Back home to a lovely meal if I do say so m'self. The 'boys' washed, dried and put away, a rare treat for someone to do it for me.
Now all going to bed, I'm soo weary and we have a busy day tomorrow
Sweet dreams,
S0 -

2. Finally met up with a friend - third time we had arranged this. It was lovely catching up and we did treat ourselves to lunch.
3. Managed to do some gardening at the front and saved some seeds.
4. Chat with a friend while working my dog.
5. Picking some apples, pears and chestnuts.0 -
Mine are
1. A morning of baking
2. Having the windows and doors open with lovely sunshine shining through.
3. Half price swim with the children
4. Having tea all ready in the slow cooker
5. Fresh bedding :j0 -
quick 5 for today!
1.We have to pay for our medical appointments :O( However, we can claim some money back from government , so I used this cash to pay for my shopping today!
2. No Saturday scone as we went to a different town to get said cash, but did my Aldi shop & then went to a new to me Fruit & veg market & got loads of fruit & veg for a decent enough price. Fabulous, fresh choice and certainly cheaper than supermarket !
3.washing & ironing doen before heavy rain came on & grass got cut too.
4. Made Hallowe'en party invitations.
5.Snooooooozed the early evening away & wide awake at 11pm, so watched an episode of Trial & Retribution I hadn't seen. Need, need, need to get some sort of sleep pattern returned!0 -
Evening all.
1) A very long lie-in this morning - I just couldn't seem to wake up and ended up sleeping for nearly 12 hours.
2) Got the money back from the supermarket for the mistake they made with my wine yesterday. :T
3) Changed the bed so I have nice clean sheets to sleep on tonight.
4) Finally got to try out a recipe I've been wanting to try for ages, for slow cooked brisket chilli. It was a bit of a hassle to prepare and takes about 5 hours to cook - and, now it's done, the result is OK but nothing special.Oh well, at least I've tried it now, and it makes loads so I've got plenty to freeze for another time.
5) Listening to the football on the radio and - fingers crossed - it looks like we're going to win.
Have a pleasant evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Evening all!!
Sorry, I have been AWOL again for a few days, I appear to have shingles, which is a bit of a nuisance (to say the least). We were meant to be out at a stand up comedy things tonight, but I don't feel up to it, besides I'd hate to infect anyone who is vulnerable! So OH is taking his Dad instead
Mine for this past few days
1. I seem to have acquired a hairy, 4-legged stalker (GSD). She seems to know when I am not feeling 100% and becomes more loyal than usual, bless her!
2. Ponies are both well. Oldie still has an on/off, grumbling abscess, but is back in her trainers (hoof boots) so hooning around as per usual! Got her some cheapy swedes from Aldi (39p each ) and she goes mental for them and makes such a din chomping them
3. Mum took me out today to a craft centre and we sat outside (diseased!!) and had tea and cake and fed the ducksWhy does feeding ducks always make you feel better?
4. Ducks got a bit, errm, pecky and I ended up with a bit of an audience. One lady thanked me and said it was the best laugh she'd had in ages
5. MIL's friend send me some icing cutters, incl some I haven't got. Lovely of her.
Love and disease-free cyberhugs to anyone in need xx0 -
Evening all,
What a rubbish rugby result!! I'm sorry Ampersand... I'll be supporting the All Blacks tomorrow, which clearly means that they will lose!
1) Gorgeous day. I've had my windows wide open
2) Discovered that I had left the door open on my freezer which completely froze it solid. While that is certainly not a pleasure... I have been meaning to sort out the freezer and defrost it. So I spent a good while cleaning, tidying and cooking.
3) I've been give two big bags of jars from freecycle because i need to make jam etc with all the defrosted fruit
4) Chatting on BBM with my friend in Dubai. He's coming home next week and we have plans to meet up. He was being very sentimental today which is alway nice to hear
5) Baked a lovely loaf of bread
Hope you all have a great evening
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Hello all, I've been reading and lurking but not posting as I've been a bit bleugh recently, even though there's beggar all wrong, either emotionally and physically.
Goodies that I can remember either from today or previous days.......
1. DD and I did the conga around Te$co's this afternoon when we did our shopping, probably much to the amusement of other shoppers
2. We were blown out for lunch today (OH's son being stroppy and teenageish and didn't want us to go out to celebrate his recent birthday) so I took DD out for her favourite, chish and fips and we ate it in the park, basking in the sunshine. Such a shame OH couldn't join us...
3. Realised that since moving the piano into the kitchen, I've played it more than I have in the past 5 years! Had a lovely time with some Mozart and Debussy this morning
4. Took out the HFW veg cookbook from the library and have asked OH to buy it for me as it's sooooooo good, a million and one (or so it seems) fabulous recipes, nomnom
5. Although the house probably looks worse now than it did before I started, I've decluttered quite a bit of stuff, and the vacuum bags I bought off ebay are great - have put so many clothes in them that are either currently too small/too summery, just a shame I can't now lift the bags back upstairs as they're too darned heavy!!
6. A lovely week spent mostly with OH here to give me his gorgeous cuddles of an evening
7. Postcards from my holidaying parents received most days
8. DD has been talking to and watering our lovely broccoli plants, they are thriving
9. Enjoying Strictly with DD
10. Good times at work
11. Lovely chat with my parents on the phone on their return from holiday this morning0 -

frith- I am not saying a word.
5 for today
1. I had a dream that my late father gave me a big hug. I have not had a dream about him since he died in 2005 but I think about him many times in a day.He was powerfully built like a rower / swimmer and his hugs were as solid as he was. The dream was a shock but in a nice way.
2. Two lots of washing dried on the line - heavy stuff like towels and rugby tops .Making the most of it whilst we can.
3.In the garden most of the day with critters and OH, cutting branches off of our huge maple tree. Spent the evening ( just having a half hour break) putting braches in the incinerator. I am in my element stoking and poking it. I STINK of bonfiresOH made some hot chocolate which we had in the dark in the garden.
4.Sent OH to B**** to use his £5 off a £20 shop to get some perfume for my neice , for her birthday- this came to £18.50 with the discount.I am trying to get all of my presents below £20 each by shopping around -as I have a huge family.
5. Made macaroni cheese for tea and some coconut buns.
Off out in to the darkness to play with fire....
Good night all x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Greetings OS not much today but it was pretty much nearly all free to enjoy.
1. Two loads of washing out on the line drying.
2. Gave the stables a really good set to with all the cobwebs down.
3. The sun shone all day and I loved it, it lifted me up no end!
4. Ordered some Liz Earle stuff off QVC along with Yankee candles which were on excellent prices as I use allot of this.
5. Woody Woodpecker came visiting our field today, made a racket bashing the hell out of the tree, but I was chuffed to bits to see him back!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:
