8) Ploughing on through Harry Potter.0 -
Ooh lala Mrs! Thanks to Pulp Fiction we all know what that means!
3) Made a date for a couple of weeks time. It's someone from work which definitely needs to be kept very discreet (no - he is not married/ has a partner).
5) Wore my contacts into work (see number 3!!) - and I forget how much wearing glasses really knocks my confidence. I've worn them since I was 6 so one would have thought I'd be use to it by now!
Ladyhawk- I must be the only person the planet who hasn't seen Pulp Fiction!!! But it was nice
Oooooh a dateHow exciting ! Your secret is safe with me
Not the "hot and cold" work chap is it?
Re your confidence- you personality is so "massive" that I am sure that this shines through with or without your glassesI must admit though I have a foot long scar from the base of my skull to just above my bra line ( like the seams on a stuffed toy :rotfl:)and I used to keep my hair long to cover it. Now I have a very short bobbed haircut and I am quite fond of my imperfection

Hello everyone :j
Haven't posted on here for a while so here we go...
1. lovely bright day today - really appreciating the mild weather
2. having "one of those days" doing little scatty things (I'm a strange mix of sensible and scatty!) including spilling scalding water on my hand making coffees on a course BUT I managed to let it all wash over me and not get wound up as I can do. Longwinded way of saying I feel calm!
3. a dear friend sent me a book in the post...for no reason other than she liked the book and wanted me to have my own copy. How lovely is that?
4.went to Mr S as had a £4.50 money-off voucher, went to browse for bargains and found lots of sale bits inlc a £32 saucepan reduced to £9.60, got my £4.50 taken off at the end and the till produced another £4.50 voucher. Also resisted the lure of the cafe and went straight home after so feeling pleased with myself.
5. lovely big hugs from my sons before school this morning.
number 6 later as planning to catch up on here later this eve. love hearing about everyone's pleasures!

6. DS saying "I wonder what i could be like after a year of tuition" (by George, I think he's got it)
Have a good evening - allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
I’ve been lurking rather than posting as I’ve had the lergy, it seems most people have had some sort of bug.
1. I’ve just been for a second interview that seemed to really well, and I have everything crossed.
2. I have another interview for a different role tomorrow in Town, so at least my interview skills are polished up from today.
3. We got to Mr A’s at just the right time, no crowds and they had just re marked down all of the yellow items so we could take our pick.
4. We had one of those Indian takeaway bags for 2 people marked down to just under a pound, and I’m not sure if it tasted amazing as it was something different or because it was such a bargin.
5. About to finish a really good read but I’m not sure the next book can match the one I am about to finish, which has me addicted, it has taken a while for me to get back into reading, and I love a good book, I really don’t understand all these people I see with kindles thou, to me I love to read and hold a book – just old fashioned now I guess.0 -
1) My crab apple and sloe jelly which dripped overnight is now potted. I do love it when my jelly actually sets
I also made grape and thyme jelly, which even more bizarrely is all LOCAL! LOL you do not expect grapes to grow in West Wales, my neighbour gave them to me, and although the taste was lovely the skins were a bit tough so I made them into jelly - used jam sugar for those so had added pectin. Thyme was from our garden, grown from seed the first year we came.
2) Got a lovely necklace in the charity shop for £1. It's Faïence, the sort of glass the ancient Egyptians made, and a lovely coral colour.
3) Got a 1915 book about Wales in the same charity shop for 10p
4) My shopping in Aldi only came to £13 - that should keep us going for a bit longer
5) Took the dogs for a lovely walk along the cliff path and saw some baby moos in the field at the end. Also spotted another row of sloes, but really not sure I have room in the house for anymore sloe anything :rotfl:

6 for today
1. Half day at work and Occ Health in the afternoon . I am so impressed with my Occ. H. advisor that I gave her a thank you card and some chocolates as she fought my corner for me with great success .A genuinely nice lady.
2. Two free samples of stuff to put on my face to make me beautiful at night and stuff to make me beautiful in the day - Yeah right:rotfl:
3. I bumped in to one of my former clients who has Schizophrenia it was so nice to see how well he is doing and how his confidence has grown. I worked with him for years and he has turned his life around I am dead proud of him- although he told me once that my car was ostentatious (sp):rotfl:
4. RTC fillet steak, corn on the cob, griddled peppers, courgettes and 3 chips -Yum
5. Night in on my own lolling around on the sofa , watching trashy tv:)
6. Online grocery shop with 1,000 extra points
Have a good evening all x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0
