Have been away so I'll see if I can do 10 for the whole weekend. In non-chronological order...

    1) Have stayed at MrB's Sat am - Sun teatime. :-)

    2) Watching my first ever rugby match! I was told the rules of the game in some detail until, after 10 minutes of play, I asked which end Cambridge were supposed to be running towards!

    3) Watched a film, not something I ever do at home.

    4) Walked down to Ikea (in MrB town) but couldn't buy anything because it was then promptly evacuated. Walked back to MrB's again so that was a pretty good walk for today.

    5) Met the former MrsB and her new husband with no problems. Does make you think, though, that I have an ex I wouldn't bother to introduce to anyone...

    6) Ready meal curries for tea here (got back 3 minutes before the boys got back from their father's!)

    7) School friend came round for tea.

    8) Left the house nice and tidy before I left yesterday.

    9) Warm weather still.

    10) Have bath run and hot water bottle on standby then will go to bed with either Casualty or the Archers on iplayer. :-)

    11) MrB coming here to stay tomorrow. :-) :-)

Woohoo, had a near-as-perfect Sunday as it's possible to have :)

    1. Not a NSD as I went out and spent a fortune on berries to have with lunch

    2. The lovely baby DD and I went to babysit was a dream, so much so that her parents want us to move in forever, lol! She slept til 4:30am (I had been warned of the 1:30am feed, but she didn't need it, yay!), had her milk, nappy changed and cuddles and went straight back to sleep til 8:30am :)

    3. Great chats with my friends (the baby's parents) and a lovely text from the daddy to say thank you.

    4. Took DD to a party and a friend offered to bring her back for me.

    5. DD had first helping of the veggie lunch I'd made (one veggie and one meaty dish and loads of veg and roasties, nomnomnom) and pronounced it the best she'd ever had. Love my girl, she lives in superlative-land with me :):):)

    6. OH, friend and her parents came for lunch and we had a great time. Lovely parents brought us presents, ranging from origami to chocolate to seeds to plants! Friend brought scrumptious home-made cake, wine and lots of soft drinks. Feel very spoiled, all I did was cook lunch and I love cooking when its for lots of people (as a 2-person household, 6 people constitutes a lot to me, lol).

    7. DD and friend did some gardening whilst I held a hosepipe, friend's mummy oversaw proceedings and the chaps sat in the sitting room for 'port and cigars', otherwise known as just chatting as neither would touch either, lol.

    8. Sadly OH couldn't stay last night, but we had a big 'family cuddle' before taking him back home. He was looking soooooooooooooooo unbelievably gorgeous yesterday......*swoon*

    9. DD and I had great fun filling up a huge bag with too-small clothes to pass down to someone.

    10. We enjoyed Strictly from the comfort of my bed with lots of cuddles and silliness - bliss!

    11. Great texts with a couple of friends, one who just moved house and seems remarkably calm and organised.

    12. Planning a sleepover with a lovely girly chum, must remember to take some of my plum vodka, slurp!

    13. Loved the feeling when cuddling and playing with the baby that time really has no meaning when you've got a little cutie gurgling and smiling away at you :) Sometimes I feel my life is way too frantically rushed and it was lovely to chill out. Don't worry, I'm NOT feeling broody! Whilst it was fantastic to spend time with 'my girl', I was also very happy to hand her back and just be Aunty Kittikins; am 100% happy with DD and OH (and OH's son) in my life.

    14. A very fabulous pleasure - my bad leg barely made its presence known all weekend :) (thanks be to the NHS for finding a great painkiller for me :) )

Kittikins that sounds like a lovely weekend. Your DD always sounds so lovely!

Have just woken from a deep one hour slumber :(

1.In my wide awake at 3am state I watched Casualty, pottered, did a washing, hung a washing...I even had a notion to bake but stopped myself! Went in to work earlier than usual!

    2. Had a quick chat with my mum en-route to work form carpark! Guerilla Knitters have been at work & the huge trees have been garlanded with scarves!

3.Lovely to be back at work! Had a good day & then started to wilt! Really felt bleurgh! I have spent past fortnight crashing at 9.20pm & struggling to stay awake after that & now it's the opposite! Note to self for next year's trip.....try for more than 12 days!!

4.Worked later than usual but got paid for it so that's a bonus!

5.Home to my zonked out children. Big 2 have been sound asleep almost since I got in & DD2 has not stopped yakking even whilst I was trying to snooze on sofa!

It's almost 9pm, not quite sure where the evening has gone (er......in land of nod!) It is lashing with rain and I think I need to head to bed!

It was nice to be back at work! Enjoy your start to the week .....minus the jetlag!

Thanks mhagster, I think she's as near perfect as a daughter could ever be :) Love the sound of the guerilla knitters, can you post any pics for us?

Hope the jetlag wears off soon.....

    Morning

Have been missing in action as DD is taking over the computer at home. Have been trying to get a sneaky read of everyones pleasures whilst at work. Pleasures for the last couple of days:

    1. Work hopefully finally sorting out my expenses after a month of messing about.
    2. Given a free bottle of diet coke yesterday in Windsor in a posh bottle designed by Karl Lagerfield
    3. Using the £10 Molton Brown voucher in Red magazine (subscription that was a present) to get some lovely hand lotion as a reasonable price plus got a free little bottle of mens shower gel.
    5. Treating myself to a copy of the Takeaway Secret in the works after all the great reviews on here
    6. Free pizza thanks to MSE which DD enjoyed for lunch on Saturday.

Good evening all , I hope that everyone is having a happy Monday !!

Very blustery here and cerainly "not a day for a toupe"!!

Frith- I wondered where you had gone - all sounds to be going very well with Mr. B :D

CCP- how were things for you at work today?

    5 for today

    1. Half day at work . I had supervision with my manager and for once , no blood was spilt on the proverbial carpet ... for the time being.

    2. I have a couple of days of flexi to take and wait for it...... 21 days annual leave until the end of the financial year. I booked a flexi day to go NH racing later this month. Woo hoo . Courtesy of Mr. T's vouchers of course!

    3. My neice and nephew are sleeping next door at my Mums tonight and I spent some time winding them up when they came back from school this afternoon, in the nicest possible way of course . I tend to get them over excited and my Mum has to spend all evening trying to peel them off of the ceiling .

    4. Made OH a chilli in the slow cooker - I don't like minced beef so I had no idea how "hot" it would be for him. He is still alive, so it must have been ok. I had a quorn one made using a huge chilli from the green house.

    5. OH is giving me foot massage . I will probably be asleep before 8pm:)

Have a good evening all x

    1. Good morning at pulm exercise class, lots of laughs at which we usually lose our breath, totally defeating the object!

    2. Coffee with DD, almost licked to death by one dog, almost bitten to death by one parrot, but he didn't quite get me - this time

    3. Home to do some gardening, sadly found my arch has been completely destroyed in the wind. On the bright side it gave me the opportunity to cut back the Russian vine which was beginning to swallow the house. I'll look forward to getting a stronger one (arch, not vine ;)) in the Spring, after the patio is relaid, which is my big 2013 garden project

    4. Super-long phone call with my DSis this evening, always a pleasure :)

    5. Country House Rescue, which always amazes me

    Night night, sleep tight

Ooh lala Mrs! Thanks to Pulp Fiction we all know what that means!

What a frustrating day. I spend at least half the day on the phone to our IT department as I was writing a report for the big boss to take to the even bigger boss (Global VP for purchasing).... except the report kept reformatting itself which was a tad annoying. Anyway I have now got them to agree to upgrading my MSOffice to something vaguely modern which will hopefully fix the problem.

    1) Only got into the office at 10.30 (but didn't have lunch and stayed late) so it was an easy start to the week.

    2) Got up at the normal time and tidied the kitchen

    3) Made a date for a couple of weeks time :o. It's someone from work which definitely needs to be kept very discreet (no - he is not married/ has a partner).

    4) Meeting with the big boss today which went well and now she agrees with something that I want to do. Its only been 2 years!

    5) Wore my contacts into work (see number 3!!) - and I forget how much wearing glasses really knocks my confidence. I've worn them since I was 6 so one would have thought I'd be use to it by now!

Anyway boys and girls... I need to get back to watching Embarressing Bodies.

    night

    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Evening

    Pleasures for today:
    1. Free lego with a cheap newspaper put away for christmas
    2. Lunch with a friend to celebrate their 40th birthday
    3. Lovely walk home from work cleared my head after a day stuck in the office
    4. HM burgers for dinner
    5. Seeing DD excited about a school trip to London tomorrow. She is going to climb the clock tower at Westminster and be next to Big Ben when it chimes the hour. Good to see her appreciating how lucky she is to be doing this. Am quite jealous:o

Hugs to all who need them
