Lol Millie and Ladyhawk, I have 3 DSGC (darling step grandchildren), but sadly only had 1 GSD (German Shepherd Dog), don't have the space these days so have to make do with the GSM! (German Spitz Mittel).

Evening all.
Mine for today (quickly, as I've got to go out soon):
1) A lie-in this morning.
2) Got my AF order - it's just a shame that whoever packed it didn't think that putting tins of tomatoes on top of the pasta might not be a particularly good idea...
3) Made a start on my new OU course. :A
4) Overhearing a conversation between two workmen in a neighbour's garden:Workman #1 - Mind that spider!
Workman #2 - Why?
Workman #1 (sounding a bit hurt) - I like spiders. C'mon spider, come here so you don't get squashed... :rotfl:
5) Pub quiz tonight.
Have a good evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Evening all!!
I have been a lazy mare today! Have done some work, a bit housework and did the horses tonight, but for me, I have been lazy!
For today:
1. Another hurried jewellery present made this morning for my mum to give to someone
2. Caught up on some house stuff- boring, but necessary!
3. NSD- everything from stores including a nice big salad for lunch
4. Pony cuddles and GSD cuddles as she has been my shadow all day!
5. Home alone tonight, rubbish TV and chocolates...rock and roll!!
I have been called Dr Dolittle before :rotfl:I tend to get more sense out of the animals than I get out of OH though0 -
Evening all...
1) Lovely walk with the dogs, really warm and gorgeous, so glad we moved to the seaside. Don't often actually go to the beach, but it's a real treat seeing it every day from the road where I walk the dogs.
2) Remembered when I went to get Tea Tree oil in Mr B's that I had some money on my Mr B card...so got it for nothing
3) Treated myself to a pair of crocs as slippers after reading everyone with foot problems on here talking about them, I have real trouble with slippers, as I've a heel spur problem and they are never padded enough! Decided to buy them as I had a nasty fall up the stairs earlier in the week and the existing slippers I had caused the fall. Very pleased to discover that they had 25% off all ladies stock in my local shop!
4) Got a package in the post from my mum...A book she got signed by the author for me, three free samples of toothpaste, two reusable bags, and some tea towels...oh and a cheque, she went halves with me on DD's uni accommodation insurance.
5) Cracked open a jar of the pear and ginger chutney I made earlier in the week to go with dinner, and it was very nice. Not too pickley KWIM, we had it with pate and half baked basics bread, and some reduced asparagus which I griddled (Nom)

Good evening all !
5 for today
1. Enjoying the sunshine and doing a bit of weeding with the critters .
2. Took delivery of the 02 beer and pies freebie- it was packed beautifully . OH ate the pies and my brother had the beer.:money:My nephew had the huge England flag that came with it.
3. My Aunt came round this afternoon , we had a good laugh. She is not really my Aunt but my Mum's best friend and my godmother. I swear that she really is my "Mum" as we both have very similar and bizarre tastes in most things.
4. My neice came over as it is her 15th birthday today . She loved her birdcage necklace and the money I put in a card for her . She has just sent me a lovely message on f/book. I was an a**e at 15!!
5.Sitting in the garden with my old hen , who has been with us for over 5 years dust bathing in the sun and having a little snooze in one of my raised beds for the best part of an hour (her not me).. This was until she saw my OH . She cannot stand him and as soon as she saw him , some 50 or 60ft away she was up and off:rotfl:
Have a good evening all x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Evening all,
1) Went to the denist first thing. I've never had a problem with dentists, despite having 2 years of braces. Anyway he was a new dentist to me and he said my teeth are in excellent condition :A
2) Went to the doctor to have a corn cut out of my foot... not exactly a pleasure though the absence of pain certainly will be!
3) Cancelled my Virgin subscription... which shoud save £20 per month
4) Meeting on bull castration... it was interesting!
5) Had lunch before heading into London for a couple of meetings... so it would have been a NSD if I hadn't gone to the dentist.
Zzzzzzz.... sleeepy!
Have a wonderful Friday
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Hi all.... struggling today so need to concentrate.....
1. I still have a job - even if they take advantage
2. I am relatively healthy - having recently been moved down a notch on my asthma meds.
3. I have a hubby I love.
4. I am grateful for the internet that gives a whole heap of information in a very short time.
And the reality is that I'm working my butt off doing pretty much two peoples work, completely shattered, having to do all the cooking, cleaning, washing etc with OH with no work, so I'm working my butt off with the result being.... we can pay the rent and just scrape the bills... and I don't even have enough money for prescriptions so have to take it from another budget category and I have to work overtime just so I can go for a day out.
And I spent £4 today on a new eyeshadow and eyeliner and I feel guilty!!!
5. But we have a place to live and some electricity, clothes to wear (charity shops) and food in the freezer.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Just a quick update, but stuggling a bit to find 5, it's been one of those days!
1. Picked up some whoopsies at asda tonight.
2. Some hopeful job applications, fingers crossed.
3. Cleaned the curtains, taking advantage of the good weather
4. Booked in an interview for next week
5. Relaxing0 -
Waiting for DD to get back - so here are mine before she takes all my attention
1. DD coming back
2. Really good day at work, my new open plan office really suits me and i find it much less distracting than an office with just 2 of us.
3. OH, back from his hols, had cooked tea which was
4. Yummy bacon and egg
5. DD coming back!:cool:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Evening all
Newlywed - i had to do the same when i got my inhalers a few days ago, came out of food budget!
Millie - i love GSD's. I had a rescue one years ago who was so lovely. But she was very protective of me and went for my dad when he went to stand near me. Then she went for my then boyfriends dad so he took her back to the rescue whilst i was at work. wouldnt even consider traning classes. Needless to say we didnt last long after that! Am seriously considering getting another now the kids are older.
Mine for today. I have had a really good, if hectic day.
1. a lovely sunny day, got 3 loads of washing out on line.
2. childcare course this morning.
3. Chatting for an hour in the sunshine with someone who used to volunteer in my toddler group. not had a good gossip for ages.
4. Taking kids books back to library and getting more. Dd very happy with her princess book and ds1 loving his Yuck book. so i chose well.
5. Under 5's cooking. We made scones. They were lovely.
6. Family seal was craft today. We painted pictures using dishclothes which is something new. Kids really enjoyed it and none of them got paint on their school shirts!!! :j
7. Walk to the park with kids and dog in the sunshine.
8. Dd has been a joy today. She has helped me and had no strops and read some of her book herself. Ds1 ate all his meals and got dressed without me having to 'remind' him and got all his spellings right when i tested him before tea, and ds2 hasnt hit or kicked anyone today and practised the letter K by himself without me having to guide his hand. The reward chart is working. :T0
