5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2
Comments
-
Evening all!! I have achieved slightly more today than yesterday
1. Lovely walk with GSD in the woods this morning, crunching through the leaves. Love this time of year
2. I did the irorning outside on the patio, with the bunnies running round my feet, little monsters
3. Dried three loads of washing outside and it smells lovely
4. Gave Mrs ponycarer the afternoon off again and spent some time with them. It was too hot to do very much though
5. Made 20 cards for a lady at work for her charity coffee morning, I am going to make her some earrings too when I have a minute
6. Cheeky little extra one because I have been paid and I have a pay rise, so I am finally being paid for the job I do. Yay!! And I have more money than I thought in my bank, so am tempted to treat myself to something (most of my money goes on boring life stuff and the ponies, of course- still feel guilty about treating myself though, for some reason..). Might buy some beads
Love and hugs to anyone in need and happy weekend all xx0 -
Evening all
1) Overnight stay and course in Newcastle was great
2) Beautiful sunny weather for the outside section of the course
3) Meeting some more lovely people
4) Lovely sunny day here in Aberdeen today
5) Slowly starting to get into my new job
Hope you all had a good day. Hugs to those that need them

Good evening all!
millie- well done on the pay rise ! You can treat yourself to .....you guessed it...chocolates!!
kittikins-sorry about your operation being postponed.
5 for today
1. Huge "U" turn at work in my favour ,following the hideous meeting that I went to last week . A letter that I had written to HR seeking clarification re my understanding of the events that had occurred during the meeting had caused an almighty rumpus by all accounts. As I knew it would and should. I am so glad it is now over as it was a battle that I could have done without.
2. Due to the above, my work/life balance will now change for the better . I am really looking forward to this
3. Not OS but "necessary"- Chinese Meal
4.A nap for 10 mins this afternoon , as I had not been sleeping very well due to the work "issue". It was nice to "let go".
5. Its pay day!!
Have a lovely weekend all, x:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

5 for today (Friday).
1) Waking up with MrB. :-) Bit sad now as I won't see him for several days.
2) Bigger son went to a More Able Maths day. He took a lot of persauding!
3) Went round the charity shops (didn't find anything) then got the food for son's birthday treat tomorrow. His friends are coming round and they're going to make a film.
4) Spoke to school friend on the phone.
5) Started Harry Potter book 3 as the boys' bedtime story.
P.S Well done, Chickenopolis. :-)0 -
Evening all,
What a beautiful day!?! Long may it last.
Chicken - I am so pleased to hear that you work situation has improved and that HR helped things for a change.
1) Nice day in the office as there were very few people in. The only person from my team there was J who I am good friends with. We had a nice day together.
2) Tidied my desk - it was quite a state.
3) Text chat with and MSE friend. It amused me... not sure if it did her (though it was supposed to!)
4) Driving home with the top down on my car. I decided to take a new route back to my town though the countryside... gorgeous on so many ways
5) Lovely glass of red wine to go with the left over soupy/ stewy thing. Even though it is far too hot to have soupy/stewy meals!
6) Some y/s bargains from MrA
Nighty night... hope you enjoy the last of the sunshine!
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
quick hello before I fall asleep!
1.Nice start to day, was dry but has since been a torrential downpour!
2.Visit to dentist, everyone's teeth were just fine!
3.Lunch with niece (still no sign of baby!)
4.Bargains galore at primark! Got black ,linen crop trousers for work for 2 pounds (got 4 pairs)and tops for 1 pound.
5.out for dinner with 2 of my fabulous friends and they very kindly treated me! I could get used to this! We got absolutely soaked going from car to restaurant!
6.Having such a laugh reading re-discovered diaries, which were in my mums loft. From 1983-85. They are hilarious! Reading selective exerpts to my friends when they came back in after meal! Along with a pile of letters from then too.
Have a good weekend M x0 -
Kittikins I'm so sorry to hear the op has been postponed, I wonder if you can do a bit of sabre rattling since they're messing you about?
Frith you sound such a good hostess, and good fun, that I very much doubt anyone could be bored in your company!
ampersand what a relief to find your France wallet. Hope you didn't get any horrid after effects from the anaesthetic, you don't need that on top of all the other problems. Do look after yourself if you're thinking of doing the November venue, just get yourself 100% first. And don't sleep in the car!
JackieO sounds like you and your DGS had fun, and well done on the giving the cheque to the school for the charity
Millie congrats on the pay rise, enjoy spending a little bit of it
Chicken that's excellent news! :T Well done you for standing your ground. You may not call the Chinese OS, but it was a well deserved treat
Ladyhawk well done on clearing your desk, a job I used to dread as I never knew what I'd find there - was more likely to be old teabags drying out in a saucer for re-use than invitations to exciting places for tea
1. This weather is just amazing, so pleased tomorrow's forecast is as good as my younger niece and her (rather dishy) young man are getting married
2. Changed my weigh-day to be in line with others on the same thread, great news at it gives me an extra couple of days to lose the slice of carrot cake I sneaked today
3. Postie brought me a large length of fleece for the garden, seems strange to mention it during this heatwave but it's to cover whatever needs protecting in Winter. Last year I lost an olive and a bay, not taking chances this year
4. She also brought me a voucher for doing surveys. Been very lax this year and realise now how useful they are for buying, or giving as gifts when on a limited income so must knuckle down and get back to it
5. Highlight of the day was watching a dragonfly flitting between the raspberry canes for almost fifteen minutes. It seemed to be playing a game by itself and was having great fun.
Night night, sleep tight
S x0 -
Sparrer - love the sound of your dragonfly, how lovely to sit and watch it.
Chickenopolis - hoorah for the work situation!
1. The continued sunshine
2. Lovely friend came over and did a bit of polyfilla'ing for me
3. Did a survey online, can't wait for the LV to come through
4. Was a complete dingbat and left my car in the car park and walked home, then luckily someone gave me a lift back up to get it!
5. Harvest festival with DD's school, so lovely
6. Quick visit to OH on his return from a rubbish hospital appointment, poor lamb was exhausted but sooo lovely to see him and get a good hug
7. Payday today, hoorah!0 -
1.Sitting in the garden with my cats enjoying the peace while the kids are at school.
2. Washed 2 loads of watching and dried on the line including bed covers- nothing like getting into a nice clean fresh bed!
3. Watering my plants and looking at all red my tomatos have gone and how well they have done.
4. Preparing a nice dinner and having some left over which has been put in a tupperwear and put in the fridge!
5. And finally looking at my girls while they sleep in bed and looking all angelic and cute- Awwwwwwwww xxxRaven. :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart0
