    5 already! :-)

    1. mhagster - I'm here FOR YOU because Scotland are playing SUPERBLY. Absolutely well-merited half-time lead.
    2. ..following a fantastic Tongan victory over the always possibly AWOL France.
    3. Early start and o/n washing out on line before 6. A soft warm dawn and some more raspberries to eat en route to line.
    4. Walked to village shop and back between matches for beloved Grauniad and enjoying reading the coverage.
    5. Perfect blend between computer itv coverage and TalkSport radio commentary. Brian Moore[must read his much-praised autobiography]definitely tells it like it is with splendid splenetics.
    6. Further lovely pm from YKWYA...yes, we'll do it.

Wow, some really positive posts on here - must be the weather! ;)

    Mine for yesterday

    1. DS got Level 6c in his maths test :T - this is a boy who has been hovering at around 4 a - c, he has jumped at least 4 sub levels, which would usually take an average of 2 years!!! Those extra maths tasks are clearly doing him good. WHat a boost to his confidence - though he is playing it down, insisting that it was only one test.
    2. Went house hunting - the ball is now, at last, rolling
    3. Lunch with friends sitting outside in the sunshine - lovely
    4. THe 4 of us had a meal sat altogether round a table for the first time in well over a week, now that everyone is back home from their travels
    5. Started knitting a little angel christmas tree decoration, from a pack that came free with a magazine. Never knitted anything non-clothing before.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone in this glorious weather. We are having a Barbie, because we can!:D
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Thank you all  for your kind comments. I woke up with with a smile on my face this morning ... no Mr. B's were present btw..;)

    1. In winter preparations we desperately needed a carpet remnant for our tiny bathroom, and we found what was supposed to be a ridiculously expensive bathroom carpet off cut for £45 yesterday.

    2. Due to the above expense it means we can’t really afford to go out today Saturday as planned, but it is a glorious day and we have a garden, thankfully we both understand a temporary income glitch means less outings, the bonus of course is we can go when it’s less crowded at the moment.

3&4 Enjoying being able to read in the sun and watch the cat sunbathing in it – is that one or 2 pleasures J.

    5. Making the most of the sun and washing the curtains, now hanging out on the line.

    Evening all!!

What a lovely day it has been here! Only problem is that productivity tends to dive when it's this hot!

    1. Ponies this morning and afternoon to give ponycarer a weekend off, mucking out at 7am certainly wakes me up! This afternoon it was too hot for them really, so I brought them into their nice cool, brick stables

    2. Not a pleasure really as the first four stuck to the pan, but I made pancakes for tonight's dinner (cannelloni). I then switched pans and they were a success!

    3. Some lovely texts back and too to a very lovely friend, whom I love lots

    4. A nice chat on the phone with ponycarer, to assure her that ponies all had four legs and a head and that the stables were still upright :D

    5. And because of my ponycaring today and for the past few days, I get tomorrow off. Mini lie in! Woo

    6. OH surprised me with tickets for a stand up tomorrow night, have forgotten who is it already though, duh.

    7. Belated birthday present from my aunt at al - a really stunning clutch-type bag. I love it!

    8. Watching the washing dry out in the sun again- love that

    9. Have mojito in hand and about to sit down with parents and inlaws to eat the cannelloni. Better be nice after all that faff :D

Hugs all round, enjoy your Saturday evening everyone x

mhagster - did you get your usual Saturday scone???

sparrer- there is something quite magical about dragon flies.

ladyhawk- cruisin' round the countryside with the top down....reminds me of that song by "Blue" .

    5 for today

    1. The rugby . OH is half Scottish and half British , so he was happy either way.

    2. Relaxing in the garden with my book "Driving over Lemons" . It is an "easy" read - but got a bit put off for a bit re the despatching of pigs in rural Spain . I swear I am getting worse as I get older!!

    3. I found out that my sister has acquired another pre loved puppy . I was told that it had torn apart my neices bra- I could not pass up on the opportunity to tease her about this on Fbook to tell her that she was lucky that she was not wearing it at the time etc.:) I had a similar situation with a pom pom that I had made for a bunny girl outfit :rotfl:

    4. My old hen grumbling at me as I was not picking blackberries fast enough for her to eat for her liking. The same hen making pleasurable squeaking noises having been given a pine nut.

    5. Beef stroganoff for tea with rtc beef and garlic bread . Cooked beef in the slow cooker so that I could escape in to the garden and forget about it .

Have a lovely evening all x

    Evening,

    Another gorgeous day!

Kittikins - :rotfl:@ you forgetting that you had your car! (sorry)

Chicken - I'd love to have chickens... and as I don't quite live in the countryside I don't think can have them (too distracting for the neighbours)... maybe in my next house. Anyway I love hearing about your girlies.

    1) Got up to watch the second half of the Tonga/France game. What a exciting match (sorry about the result Ampersand)

    2) Watch the England/Scotland game... which was great until 3 minutes from the end. Poor Scotland.

    3) Went to see a mortgage advisor and it looks as if I may be able to borrow a little more than I thought I could. I alo looked at two really lovely properties, but I didn't love them... so the search continues.

    4) Load of washing done and dried

    5) Some tidying done... getting ready for my nice neighbour to come round for a cup of tea tomorrow.

I have always thought/known that I am not going to get married or have kids (am 32 now) and have been thinking about adopting for a little while now. Well it wouldn't be for a few of years as I want to work abroad before then. Anyway I looked at a couple of websites this evening... and the more I think about it the more I want to do it. There are too many childen out there that need a loving home.

    night night

    Wow, what a stunning day

    1. some bargains in Mr M this morning.
    2. Did a bit of tidying in the garden - had the last of the runner beans last night so pulled everything out of their part of the garden and am digging it over so i can manure it in a day or two for next year.
    3. Dried 2 loads of washing on the line
    4. Bought a lovely new digging fork from garden centre - is that OS? - it's so beautiful I don't know if i can use it for digging, I just want to stroke it. :o
    5. Family BBQ tonight, sat outside without long sleeves and wasn't cold, couldn't even do that in the summer.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Kittikins, Chicken, my lovely neighbour's late DM adored dragon flies, every time we see one in the gardens her LO says 'look, there's Grandma'. So sweet :)

1 - 5 could all be this amazing weather :) but some other good things to list as well so it'll have to do for the first one
    2. Got the lawn mown first thing
    3. Trip to Mr A, several bogof, YS's, total saved £7.18 on a £27.53 bill (unbelievably heard someone complain about the heat, poor chechout lady said they were lucky to be able to enjoy it, she's on duty for the next 4 days :()
    4. Cleaned kitchen, just have to wash the floor before bed
    5. Long chat on the phone with a lovely friend, she knows I was invited to my nieces wedding today but had to refuse, so she phoned to cheer me up
